Chapter The prisoners escaped!

Almera smacked her forehead when he saw that even Amoux was with Leah. She wanted to bond with her friend, but her mate didn't let her come alone. She was surprised that even Karen was with Adam.

“I can't believe that the three of you were so annoying. Argh! How could we enjoy being together if you're all watching us!” Almera exclaimed before she touched her tummy when she felt that it hurt.

“Act that we aren't here with you. Did you see that Amoux is here, too? We want you all to be alright.” Almera rolled her eyes when Adam explained. He will be thankful she wasn't in the mood to fight back at him. Aside from that, he was Leah's cousin.

“Yeah, right. You all worried that we might find the man here.” Almera, unbothered, uttered. She smirked when she saw how Adam's face changed. She was sure since he knew why Kairo went with her.

“I trust my mate. I know that she won't look at a different guy. I know my performance was too good, which made her not look at others anymore.” Adam mocked. Almera's forehead creased; why did she feel that Adam was trying to say something to her? She gnashed her teeth when she glimpsed at Kairo.

“Are you telling me that my husband didn't trust me?” Almera felt that her blood was starting to boil. How could Adam say those words to her? She felt that maybe, Kairo was telling him about his mind.

“I didn't tell you that. And I think you might feel like Kairo didn't trust you. Don't bring me into your fight.” Adam went to Karen and took her to the fan that he had created for her. He even caressed her back and asked her if she felt alright.

“Did you tell him that you didn't trust me? Tell me the truth, Kairo.” Kairo was alert when Almera uttered his name. He knew it was a red alert, and Almera was too pissed. He came closer to her and massaged her shoulder.

“I trust you, baby! How could I not trust you? Are you still mad that I am coming with you? Do you see if I didn't come? I'm the only one who was here.” Kairo was too sweet when he explained, which made Almera close her eyes. She groaned when Kairo began pressing her shoulder.

“I thought you didn't trust me. That's why you went here with me.”

“I won't marry you if I don't trust you. Almera, I know our past, and I don't have a right to judge you since I'm not perfect. Aside from that, we both did something nasty when you ditched me.”

“Are you trying to provoke me? Why have I ditched you that time? Because I found you kissing another woman after we fucked each other.”

“I told you that I didn't kiss her. I told you that she pulled me for a kiss!”

“Yeah, right? Talk to my hand, you freaking asshole.”

“Almera, how could you call me an asshole. I'm your mate!” Almera was surprised. It was the first time that Kairo was reacting like this. She might be harsh, but she loved him. She closed her eyes to stop her eyes from getting wet. Why does she feel that Kairo has already changed? Is there something that she didn't know?

Almera didn't say anything. Instead, she turned her back when she felt that her tears were going to betray him. It's been months since they married each other, but Kairo changed. He didn't always have time to be with her. She wanted a day with her friends; she needed someone to talk with.

“Almera!” Kairo irritably yelled her name, but she didn't turn around. She walked to the big tree and sat on its big roots. She secretly wiped her tears before she sighed.

She couldn't feel that Kairo had feelings for her anymore. He might be done with her after she got pregnant with his child. She wasn't the sexy Almera that he used to know. She felt terrible that if, in the end, her baby might end up without a father by her side.

“And, now, you're making me feel I did terribly. It's you who keeps calling me an asshole!” Almera lowered her head. She bit her lips, so does it mean that Kairo held a grudge against her?

“You always wanted me to obey you. Almera, did you know how they make fun of me? Because I'm always attending to my wife. I couldn't even decide for myself since you're the one who knew everything.” Kairo couldn't stop himself anymore. He felt that Almera wasn't treating him as her husband. All she wanted was a man who could fuck with her every night.

“Kairo, what are you doing? Your wife is pregnant, and she's in a state where she is emotional because of her hormones. How could you say that to your wife?” Adam couldn't stop himself from interrupting since he saw Almera silently crying. She couldn't defend herself.

Adam might sometimes be irritated about her, but he was sure Almera was in love with Kairo. Sometimes, he even caught her staring at Kairo. She couldn't express what Kairo wanted.

“What is happening here?” Leah asked. She rushed to Almera, and Kairo uttered profanities. He wasn't in the mood, so he turned his back to her.

“You know what? I'm done with you. I wish that I didn't marry you!” Kairo walked out, which made Almera cry so loudly. Leah was dumbfounded. She knew how patient Kairo was when it came to his mate.

Almera winced. She felt that her lowered abdomen was throbbing in pain. She shouted while she was touching her tummy. She hates Kairo now! She hated him! And she swears that he won't be with her again.

“Almera!” Kairo panicked. He runs to her, but Almera pushes him away from her. He was anxious when he saw the blood on her thighs.

Amoux quickly carried Almera when she saw that Leah started to cry while she was caressing her tummy.

“B-Baby, I'm sorry,” Kairo uttered.

They quickly rushed to the hospital, and the doctor was shocked when he saw that Almera was giving birth too early. She didn't want to be with Kairo in the delivery room. Kairo's mouth trembled when he saw how Almera lost her life to give birth to their child.

“What's your problem, Kairo? How dare you talk to her like that? Didn't you realize why she gave birth right now? It's because of you!” Leah punched his shoulder, but he didn't even wince. He blamed himself, too.

Adam was furious while he was hugging his wife. In the first place, it was Leah who was about to give birth that day.

“Leah, your water is broken.” Karen widened her eyes when she saw how the liquid dripped on her thighs. The other nurses rushed to Luna and quickly assisted her.

“I won't blame you since Leah was the true one who might be giving birth today,” Amoux mumbled. He patted his shoulder and went to Leah.

Kairo was alarmed when he watched the doctor pump Almera's chest. He saw their daughter in the doctor's hand, but someone kept pumping her chest.

He saw that the nurses were rushing everything. The nurse went to the door and slid the curtain, which made Kairo not see how they would revive her.

“Almera!” He shouted her name as his tears continued to fall.

“Congratulations! You have a girl and a boy!” The doctor announced. The nurses gave the babies to Leah.

“It's the boy who comes out first.” The doctor informed them.

“What about Almera? Is she alright?” Leah inquired. She remembered that she had dreamed of Almera in the delivery room.

“Okay, I know you won't believe I will tell you, Luna. But Almera announced after the baby went out.” Leah gasped. Amoux carried their baby girl and gently massaged Leah's back. “We announced that she's dead. But, the nurse told me that they saw an older woman go into the room, and after that, she was breathing.”

“Older woman?” It's her grandmother! She didn't know why her grandmother did that, but she was very thankful to her.

“It's my grandmother. I don't know why she helped Almera, but—” Leah couldn't finish her words. Her tears didnt stop slowing.

“I want to see her. I want to make sure that she's truly alive.” Leah mumbled.

Leah found out that Almera had a girl, and she was happier for her. She knew that Almera wanted a baby girl so much.

“They aren't fine. Almera didn't even talk to Kairo, even though he tried.” Amoux told her.

“All she did was take care of her baby, but she was acting like Kairo didn't exist,” Amoux added.

Leah realized that Almera needed someone to talk with. She was sure that there was a big reason why Almera was acting like that.

She sighed. She's the Luna of the pack, and all she could do was give them advice.

“Baby, our son looks like me! I can't believe this. I'm nervous my father would be correct that he was too stressed because of me.” Amoux exclaimed. He glanced at those who were at Leah's hands. While the baby he carried looked like Leah, her eyes were on him.

“You loved me too much, baby! Our daughter had my eyes.” Amoux sniffed. Leah glanced at him after she heard those sniffs.

“Oh, why are you too emotional? Are you scared that a man might hurt our daughter?” Leah jokes which make Amoux glare at her.

“It's not funny, baby! She's too young to have a boyfriend.”

“But, you told me when we were in our pack that you wanted them to see their family. What makes you change your mind?” Leah teased.

“I-I don't even say that! Okay, if I told you that I regret it. I don't want my daughter to get married to an asshole man. I want her to be happy with her mate. If someone tried to hurt her, I would punch his face.”

“I don't even know that my mate had a fictitious mind. Your imagination was too broad. What about our son?”

“I want him to inherit the throne, but if he doesn't like it, it's alright for me. I don't want to pressure him to do the things that he doesn't like to do.” Amoux replied. He didn't want his son to be like him; he kept proving to his father that he deserved to inherit the throne.

They were stunned when they heard a loud cough. Lycan Hector clapped his hands after he listened to what Amoux answered to his wife.

“That's an excellent speech, my son. I'm proud of you!” Leah giggled when she saw that Amoux groaned.

“I thought you were having a vacation. How did you know that Leah gave birth?” Amoux arched his brow, and he moved his hands when Lycan Hector tried to steal his daughter from him.

“I went back here after someone told me that Leah will give birth, and it's true. How could you not report this to me?”

“Daddy, that's my daughter?!” Amoux tried to move his hand again, but Lycan Hector successfully got his daughter.

“Oh, my granddaughter was too beautiful! She might end up making a lot of boys cry for her beauty. Am I right, Leah?” Lycan Hector inquired about Leah.

“Lycan Hector, are you telling me I made other men cry? I don't even remember that!”

“Okay, some Alpha told me they all wanted to talk to you. I told them that Amoux would be jealous if they kept hitting on you.” Lycan Hector replied.

“What? But they all know that Leah is my wife!” Amoux reacted, which made Lycan Hector shake his head.

“See? He's too possessive when it comes to you. They want to talk to you because they want her to discuss their proposals. You know that we're handling funds for the packs, right?” Amoux stopped.

“Lycan!! The prisoners escaped!”
