Chapter Damon had a problem

Leah and Amoux panicked when one of their members informed them that the prisoners had escaped. They hoped that they weren't Anaya and her mother. Lycan Hector and Amoux went to the hospital. Leah stared at her babies, afraid that something terrible might happen to them.

She knew that Anaya wouldn't accept the impending judgment of the Lycan and the council, so they asked for someone's help to help them escape.

She wished that she could talk to her grandmother. She thinks that Olivia might ask the healers for their help. Does it mean that her grandmother's life will be at stake? She felt worried that she wanted to help them to search for the prisoners.

She needs to do something since she knows Anaya might save her wrath on her children. She gritted her teeth, but her anger faded when she heard her daughter chuckle at her.

“Adam. Are you available today?” Leah quickly asked Adam, using the mind link.

“What is it, cousin? Is this about the prisoners? Anaya and their family escaped. We're trying to investigate everything.” Adam responded.

“Oh, thank you. I thought you were with Karen right now. I never thought that you would go there right now.”

“I'm with Kairo. Karen is with Almera. She's helping her with her baby. Aside from that, Kairo wasn't in his right mind, so I had no choice but to be with him.” Leah chuckled when she heard what her cousin had told him.

“Oh, you should be with him more often. Kairo is a good man.”

“He's a normal werewolf; I don't think it's too good to associate with someone like him. I would rather stay with my wife than with a man who didn't know the importance of his wife.” Leah coughed. She knew that Adam was too severe when it came to relationships.

“I will report everything to you. I'm trying to see who's the one who helps them.”

“Take care,” Leah uttered.

Hours passed of investigating, and Amoux went back to the hospital. He reported everything to Leah about what they found, and they speculated that the healers were the ones who helped them since they were all angry with Sergio.

“What should we do? I don't want to search for all the healers in this world. I won't repeat my ancestor's mistakes.” Amoux asked her. He felt that he needed her help since she was one of them.

“I will ask Adam about this. I need someone who can help me when I go there. Almera isn't fine right now. And Karen was pregnant, so I don't want something terrible to happen to her.”

“You should go with Adam. They knew all of them. He's a great help to you.” Amoux suggested.

Amoux was right. It was only Adam who could help her kind. He grew up with them.

“Okay, I will ask Adam's help, but what about the babies? Who will help you to take care of them?” Amoux forced himself to smile. He scratched his forehead.

“Don't worry about them. Daddy is here, and their grandfather. I know that my father would love to be with her grandchildren.” Leah laughed so loudly after she heard what Amoux had answered her. She was excited to see how Lycan Hector would complain to his grandchildren.

“Okay, I will tell your father what you suggested. He takes care of our children.” Leah smirked when she saw that Amoux widened his eyes in disbelief.

Leah's wolf helped her to heal quickly. She was turning into a Lycan, and her healing process was too fast. She went out to the hospital while Almera was still there. She chuckled when her son was asleep while her daughter kept giggling.

“Leah, Amoux told me about your plans. Are you sure about this? Our pack might not be okay.” Adam went to her while she was watching the other members.

“You told me that I'm the future rival of Anaya's mother, right? Is there a big chance that I will win over her?”

“Leah, I know that you're a great woman. Let me remind you that you are managing the whole world. Are you sure that you want to enter our species? Okay, I will be frank with you; I think you have a thirty percent chance to win over her.” Leah pouted. How could she win for a thirty percent chance?

She sighed. She realized that even though there was a slight chance, she still got the three-pack with the help of her faithful Betas. But what should she do? Almera isn't OK, and Karen is pregnant too.

“Healers were too suspicious of someone related to Sergio. So, it would help if you were prepared that they aren't easy to deal with. The chances that I told you are because I know that our grandmother will allow us to talk to them secretly. But, you need to prove to them that you are worth the risk.” Adam added. He was hoping that Leah might back out. If they didn't fight Anaya's mother, he was sure their grandmother would be in great danger.

“Of course, I will take a risk. Thirty percent is too big a chance for me.” Leah proudly uttered, which made Adam shake his head in amusement.

“Your mother had a friend. They're known to each other, and she allies with our grandmother since she disliked the rulers of our kind. I think she can help us with this since she was the one who helped me to go there. So I could secretly protect you.”

“What do you mean by that? I don't understand.”

“I told you that most healers loathed you to death for mating the successor. They assign a young healer to commit a crime, which is to kill you. Fiona told me about it, so she asked me to volunteer. At first, I couldn't since they knew we're related, but I acted like I didn't even know you, so they agreed to put me in their plans.” Leah nodded her head. She felt grateful that Adam tried his best to help her. She still remembered how she almost stabbed him.

“So, what should we do? Did you think that I could go to their place alive? I think they might know that it's my last resort.”

“You can meet with them since you are a healer. I ask Fiona for her help. I will schedule a date for the meeting.”

“I want to meet with them this evening. Adam, the day Anaya is still in the forest makes me more worried, so I need to meet her tonight. Tell Karen to stay at my pack house. I know that Anaya is planning to hurt her.”

“Okay, I will tell her that. Since you decided to meet them tonight, I should go so I can talk to my friends about this.”

“Are you sure that we should trust your set of friends? Wait, who will help them to escape here?”

“It's our cousin. He's the one who shakes the ladder when you're in the library.” Adam immediately went out. Leah sighed, but her heart was full of worries. She clasped her hand when she began walking to Amoux's office. She smiled when she saw that Amoux was busy with their twins.

“Baby! Finally, you're here! Ah! I can't believe that Jaxon peed on my face!” Amoux complained. Jaxon chuckled, which made Amoux finally forget what he was complaining about.

“Oh, Jaxon, you shouldn't do that to your father.” Leah hushed and slowly swayed Jaxon. She caressed his cheek.

“Haha, I told you, son, you will regret that you wish to have a son like you. I still remember that you did that to me. How dare you peed on my face?” Lycan Hector couldn't stop laughing. He almost touched his stomach when he couldn't breathe properly.

“Daddy, are you telling me I peed on your face, too? I think you're lying because I don't even remember everything.” Leah chuckled when Amoux's face was sour. She felt that Amoux was stupid; how could he remember if he did that when he was a baby?

“Leah, I wish my grandchild would inherit your smarty brain! Especially my Jaxon!” Lycan Hector shook his head. He took the baby and even played with them.

“Daddy, can you help me? I need someone because I will have a meeting with the healers.” Leah was hoping.

“Leah, you shouldn't bring any members of the Nightwalker to your meeting with them. They hated us, so you should choose someone in your pack. If you want them to trust you, then don't do anything that makes them triggered.” Lycan Hector shook his head. He sniffed the baby's breath, and he started giggling like a kid.

“Does it mean that you won't help me with this?”

“I can help you, but you need to be more sure that in the end, they will try to help you. Leah, I know that we did something to your kind. I understand why the healers reacted like this. It's our fault.”

Leah massaged her nape. She walked back and forth. She wanted to think about what is the right way to have their trust. She hoped that Richelle was here with her; she might help her since she was the upcoming leader of the healers before Anaya's mother took place.

“Daddy, is it alright for you to take care of your grandchildren as long as I amn't around?” Leah plastered a pleading smile on her father-in-law. Lycan Hector widened his eyes. Why does he feel that he would regret that he's the one who will check the twins? He thought that his grandchildren were like Amoux. He might die because of their playfulness.

“O-Of course, Leah. I'm willing to check them. Will you bring Amoux with you?” Lycan was hesitant to ask her since he didn't want her to feel that he was unwilling. He was unwilling since he knew how Amoux was a child.

“I don't want to bring him with me since Adam told me not to get any Nightwalkers in my ancestor's place. Though I wanted to get a nanny for them, I'm scared I might choose the wrong one since Anaya is still missing.”

“They all escaped. I don't know if they're all planning to have revenge against us. Even Damon left too with his father.”

“Yeah, I feel bad that he ran away instead of facing the sins he committed.”

“When I took a vacation, I investigated Damon. I'm so sad for him. He got a human mate first, but when William discovered that his mate was a human, William killed her. I don't even know that Damon secretly went to human land without my permission.” Amoux was stunned. He remembered that Damon still went to the human area, and that's how he caught his father and Alpha Joe secretly meeting each other.

“I thought he wanted fries. That's why he went to the human land. I don't even know he has a human mate, daddy.”

“Dumb! We have a chief here. He could ask them to cook fries. That human had been missing for months, but she found it dead. Anaya is his second chance mate, but he falls for Leah. He thought his father might accept Leah because she was the Alpha of the three packs.” Lycan added. He hummed to his granddaughter when he softly cried. He sighed. He felt terrible for Damon since he treated him like his son. It was his brother who wasn't content.

“I know that Damon loved you as his cousin. I didn't even see him happy that time. But when he found Anaya, I know William made him do something else.”

“What do you mean, daddy? I don't understand.”

“Damon had a problem. He had a sexual dark fantasy, and Anaya could give them to him. That's why he endured his father's plans all along. William wanted him to take the crown after they mated with Anaya.”
