“Fuck it…. I don’t want to make you depressed. Let’s talk about you.”
Sympathetic about his state I was about to say something but he removed his hand and laughed a little.
“What about me?” I asked softly.
"You know, Me and Prince used to fight a lot on who's gonna pick you up. I used to say you are my sister, I am going to play and he says he is your guard, he protects you so he is going to play with you."
I chuckled a little, "Guard?" I asked.
"Yeah. Prince's Dad declared it the day you were born that he is going to protect you no matter what… I never thought he would actually do it." He shrugged, not removing his eyes from me.
"You have grown out to be prettier than Mama, you know? You look like our Father, Silas Alroy and I look like our Mother." He said happily.
"Really?"
"Yeah. You haven't seen her, have you? I will show you her room and the pictures next time. We had the same eyes and let’s say I was more adorable than both of you as a baby. Okay?" he grinned.
"I would love to but I doubt you would be more adorable than me. My parents- the one who brought me up told me I was pretty." I grinned back.
“Less than me.” He smirked.
“Hey.” I frowned, making him laugh a little.
"Okay, okay, I am going to stay here until you get used to the way things work. You have to order me, I will make it happen. I will settle things here. Okay?" he said.
"Okay." I smiled.
"And if something bothers you, tell me. I am here for you now and from this moment, always will. Okay?" He reassured me.
"Uh.. Nathaniel… there's something." I trailed off.
"What is it?" he asked, arching a brow.
"Of course at first I didn't like Prince and knew nothing so I lured Zaniel to believe I still loved him and said I would kill Prince when I claimed this power, knowing Zaniel is using me again to gain power but now…" I paused, looking up at him nervously.
"But now you don't want Prince to get hurt-"
"No, I never intended to hurt Prince in the first place, I lied to Zaniel. I knew Prince protected me from him and I needed Prince… Now I want to get rid of Zaniel, I can't delay him further." I explained my problem to him. He listened and replied monotonously.
"Simple, destroy them from inside, they wouldn't have time to focus on their upcoming plan when there would be a fire inside." He suggested.
He was the Plague Doctor for no reason. He gave an idea in a second.
"How? I was driven mad by fury, I feel stupid for doing this now."
"Hmm.. I'd say the best thing would be to throw reality on his face, if he resists then silence him." I gasped.
"I can't do this!" I whisper-yelled. "I will do it for you."
"No." I frowned.
"Then what do you want to do?"
"I just want him out of my way. It's clear he won't hesitate to kill-"
"I will kill him." He hissed angrily.
"Maybe you are right about finishing them from inside." I uttered, looking away to pretend I didn't hear his conviction to kill anyone for my sake.
"If that's what you want. Shall I do it for you?" He shrugged, twirling his lips and whistling as usual.
“You whistle so greatly.” I complimented him.
“Yeah, I used to whistle to tease someone but then it developed into a habit.” He chuckled.
“Who? Your girlfriend?” I teased with a smirk.
“My fate is not that blessed to have lost. It was.. Just… someone.” He smiled faintly, looking away.
I stared at him for a while and then passed him a smile, "Thanks." I said sincerely.
"For what?" He asked in bewilderment.
I just smiled and got up, "I am going to sleep, good night." I grinned, waving my hand at him and left.
I went back to my room and saw Prince was still sleeping. With a never ending smile, I climbed under his arms, feeling his arms wrapped around my waist.
He hummed on my neck, sending shivers down my skin, "Where were you?" He groggily asked.
"I was with Nathaniel." I replied. He hummed, pressing his chest firmly over my back, kissing my neck.
"You were awake?" I asked.
"Just now. You woke me up." I giggled, turning my head to him and kissing his cheeks. He smiled as we both fell asleep in each other's embrace.
The next we were coming back and I held a wicked grin on my face. We stopped at the red signal and I noticed the surroundings.
"That's the wrong way."
"Yeah. I am taking you out somewhere nice before going home. I will be busy for the upcoming days so I want to spend some time with you." He smiled.
I made an o face and nodded. "I see… but don't forget about your punishment." I winked, smirking again.
"Yes, Madam." He chuckled. I grinned and pinched his cheeks.
"I love your jovial side more than anything." I beamed, he laughed a little, kissing my hand.
"And I love you in every way." He said honestly and was about to continue but received a call,
"Hello?" He answered and the elation on his face faltered.
"Okay, I am coming." he said and cut the call.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Change in plans, I am going to drop you at home." He said, reversing the car.
"Okay, but what happened?" I asked.
"The recent shipment has been caught by the Cops, I have to look into this matter." I gasped. Since I have control, all the shipments are passed under my surveillance.
"Again? That's terrible." I frowned.
"I know. It happened twice." He said with a hiss.
"We have to be careful." I murmured.
"I know. You take care of yourself." he said, stopping at the Silvester Palace.
"You too." I smiled faintly and was about to leave but he grabbed my arm and kissed me briefly but the sparks of his touch still tingled my bones.
Smiling, blushing, we pulled away. He smiled and said before dropping me off.
