Chapter # 33

••• Prince •••

This has happened twice now and I swear my forbearance was well past its peak.

How could someone exchange information in such a short period?

“Fuck!” I cursed furiously, slamming my hand on the steering wheel after dropping Cinzel.

Things were falling apart and strangely what couldn't occur in years was happening now. I had no problems with anyone.

‘I was doing my business calmly, away from needless fighting but now when someone is asking for it, I would give it the proper reply for daring to hurt my domain.’ I thought furiously, driving off quickly with a scowl over my face.

With a barely sensible mind of rage of the upcoming moments which never fails to break the rhythm created between me and Cinzel professionally, I reached the port as swiftly as I could to see the matter.

First someone leaked information about my warehouse and now the direct exports. This state cannot go unnoticed anymore.

“What is happening?” I asked my men in a low tone.

“They are waiting for the investigating team.” He informed me.

“Motherfuckers. How dare they.” I hissed under my breath, clearing my throat to act gallantly.

Reaching the port, I saw cops, thankfully no investigation teams had arrived yet so I could still manipulate them.

"Morning, Officer. What's the matter?" I asked, greeting politely.

"Are you Mr Prince Silvester?" He asked sternly, not in the mood to talk. I could tell by a glance he wouldn't be bribed, I needed something else.

"Yes. I am. Is there a problem?" I asked.

‘Fuck, what should I do? I have to do something about the shipments before the team comes.’ I thought, curling my hand in a fist but not removing my smile.

"Yes, Sir. We have a search warrant for your ship." The officer told me.

“And for what reason? What did I do?” I asked, worried I might not get caught, I doubt Nathaniel or Theo would help me.

“We have received a report that you supply weapons and other things such as stolen artifacts and jewels illegally to the black market.” He told me and my heart skipped a beat.

What a correct report, my port here was made for that. My other shipments go by road but who knew about this to this accuracy?

Must be someone close, someone I trust blindly.

“That is such a specific report. I do nothing of this sort and you have all your boundaries here, how am I supposed to do it in the first place?” I chuckled nervously.

“That’s for us to decide. Please stay out of it and let us do our work.” He ordered sternly.

"Sure. But, can I see the warrant, Sir?" I asked.

"Sure." He nodded and passed me the warrant to relieve the stuck breath of my throat.

‘Ah, it seems like the heavens are on my side.’ I thought, sighing in relief.

"Uh, Sir. It's Silvester 2.0. Your warrant is for Silvester. That ship will sail tomorrow, I can show you the way." I informed him, I lied. I change their names for such cases.

Fortunately, the devil of mischief went right past my heart and saved me from the tribulation.

"I see. The search team will come soon, show us the way."

And somehow I managed to save my hanging neck by swapping their names which I always keep to be on safer side and got away with it.

“There it is, Sir. Feel free to search.”

I always keep two versions, the safe and dark one and register both of them under one name so if something happens, I could get away with it easily.

After the inspection, I called Garry in the captain's cabin to meet me alone. With a slightly disquiet gaze, he came and stood in front of me, holding his hands at his back.

"Garry, how long have you been working for us?" I asked dominantly.

"Thirty.. five-"

"Thirty eight years." I corrected him.

"Yes." He nodded, lowering his head.

"And it's been more than twenty years since I have taken over the business and you don't have any idea how I run things?!” I yelled at him.

“It happened twice and I was called in urgency that we are caught, you could have sorted this out yourself! What the hell is wrong with you?! If your mind is rusted like your age then tell me, Asshole!!" I snarled, infuriated at his lack of responsibility for the past few weeks which

"I am sorry, Young Lord. This won't happen again." Garry said.

Slamming my hand, I growled, trying to ease my anger but to no avail. This was the extent of his fatuous words.

"Do you think I am a fool?" I growled, clenching my hands in a tight fist, barely controlling my fury.

"What happened, Young Lord?"

"You surely have lost it, Garry. I am so fucking done with this game." I hissed, moving closer, putting my hands in my pockets, I said in a low tone the fact he was unable to perceive.

"It's clear. We have a traitor among us."

"Traitor?! Young Lord, who would dare to go against you? You are now Plague Doctor’s Brother-in-law, fighting with you is absolute death at this point." He asked in disbelief, considering my assumption an illusion.

"I know... It's not from inside but outside, mixing inside. Might be an investor or client of ours." I sighed, calming down a little.

"Prepare a list of people who recently joined us in the past three years. Members, involved parties, allies, anyone and make sure this remains between us two. Who knows there would be an undercover cop among us?" I ordered.

"Yes, Sir." He nodded and left.

‘A deceiver… I wonder who would dare to backstab me?’

After spending the whole time in inspection, I returned home late.

Tire- exhausted by the day, my mind was stress furious even, wanting to lay down and receive lull.

I entered our room and noticed the first thing, all the vases of the room were adorned with different flowers.

It had been a while since someone put flowers in vases in my room or else they were always empty. Turning I saw Sky sleeping on the bed and Cinzel came out.

"Oh welcome home. You are late. Me and Sky were waiting for you to give you your punishment but Sky is asleep. Ah well, we could do it tomorrow." She smirked, an instant smile came on my lips when I saw her and heard her chirpy tone.

"Yes, Ma'am. By the way, did you put flowers in the vases?" I asked.

"Yeah. These empty vases were bothering me. They were empty even at the farmhouse. Why didn't you keep any flowers?" She asked, loosening my tie and taking off my coat which gave me immense equanimity by her little action.

"Dania hated flowers so I had to empty all vases and it eventually developed into a habit." I told her casually.

She smiled, hugging me from behind, opening the buttons of my shirt, whispering, "Don't worry. I will bring their vibrancy back."

"Someone seems to be in a mood." I smirked and was about to kiss her but she pressed her index finger on my lips, giggling and moving back.

"Freshen up, go and have dinner and come to bed, Mr. No kisses for you until I forgive you." She smirked, putting her hand on her waist.

"Fine.. I have already eaten." I muttered after she successfully smeared the mood which bundled my chest.

I freshened up and walked out. Cinzel was lying beside Sky, hugging her close.

I also came and laid on my side, having Sky between us served as a trademark of solace. I couldn't ask for more than to have two people I love the most in my life beside me.

Passing me a heart warming smile, Cinzel ran her hand in Sky's hair as she hugged her.

"I am glad she has you now." My voice came out low and tender, putting my hand over hers. Cinzel's smile grew wider, not removing her eyes from her.

"Cinzel. Do you know? I named her." I told her, trailing my fingers down to my daughter's tiny hands.

"Really?" She asked.

Closing my eyes, I sighed, smiling softly, "Yeah. I named her after what I lack the most."

Opening my eyes, my eyes fixed upon her innocent form, continuing, "So she could fill that void… Sky."

Cinzel smiled widely, putting her hand over my cheek. Not saying anything, only delivering the affection by her action.

I relaxed in her touch and scooted closer. Both me and Sky hugged Cinzel as we fell asleep in her embrace receiving the warmth of insurance to steal our darkest nights.

The next day, the sound of her laugh echoed in the room as a deep frown was plastered on my lips watching Sky tying my hair in a pony from where she found my hair free.

"Was that your punishment?" I asked, I thought she would beat me at least that was better than that.

"Yes. You are going to have breakfast in this condition." She tittered.

"Hell no!"

"Stay still, Papa." Sky complained, making the final sixth pony.

"Done." Sky grinned, rushing to Cinzel.

"Papa looks awful." Sky said, observing my form.

"Hey!"

"He deserves it. Come on. Let's go and you are going to come down in this state or else don't sleep in the room for the rest of the month." Cinzel said, taking Sky's hand and leaving me.

I groaned, slamming a fist on the table. I look like a cartoon and certainly don't want to ruin my stern image but not snuggling with Cinzel for the rest of the month was a heavy price.

I can't make a fool of myself!

Sighing, I opened all the ponies the moment I walked out, I saw Cinzel leaning on the wall.

"Oh, you took them off?" She asked, not sad about it.

"In exchange for a heavy price." I added. She giggled, pinching my cheeks.

"I was kidding. I forgave you. You looked adorable, by the way… come on, let's go for breakfast." She grinned, taking my hand.

"You said you forgave me. Didn't you?" I asked, stopping.

"Yeah. So-" Before she could speak further. I did what was left hanging last night.

Grabbing her waist, I pressed her against the wall, pressing my lips over hers, encasing her in a profound kiss of sincere emotions existing only for her, the rain drenching us in the valley of love.

She was shocked at first but soon melted into the kiss, kissing me back with the same effervescent ambience.

Pulling my shirt to deepen the kiss of endless love but it couldn't last long when someone cleared it's throat from behind.

Pulling away breathlessly we both turned and saw Penelope with a grimace.

"I know you can barely control your love for your beautiful young wife but keep it in mind we have kids at home." She scolded us.

"Well. She is hot." I smirked,

Cinzel blushed and looked away, hitting my shoulder playfully a little. Scoffing at us, she left.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips, moving my hand around her shoulder, pulling her close as we went to the dining hall to have breakfast.
