And in every love story, there’s no perfect love nor perfect ending. It always has flaws and imperfections. But that flaws and imperfections will help you both to become stronger.
Because that was what I learned of the pain and struggles that love has given to me. I deem to become stronger. I fight for what I really love. I fight for my own dreams and fight for my girl.
I may be hurt, in pain, and in great damage, but I still choose to fight in the end. And now I am here in front of her. I can now see her beautiful face, smile, and eyes every day without anger in her eyes.
“Hello! Khlea! I’m sorry ngayon lang kita napuntahan,” Neve gracefully greeted my sister and brought flowers to her.
Nilagay niya ito sa gilid ng lapida ng aking kapatid at umupo sa picnic mat na nilatag ko sa damo. I sat behind her and encircled my arms around her waist.
I sniffed her neck that made her giggle a bit.
She smells so good.
“Ano ba, Reeve! Nasa harapan tayo ng kapatid mo!”
“She’s not here physically so, I can smell you all I want,” I answered her, at mas lalong dinin ang mukha sa leeg niya.
“Bahala ka r’yan! Kakausapin ko muna kapatid mo!”
“Go on…”
“I’m sorry Khlea ngayon ka lang namin nadalaw. Happy birthday to you in heaven, Khlea. I’m sure you’re already happy there,” she talked to my sister.
At habang ako ay mas lalong diniin ang sarili sa kaniya at inamoy-amoy ang kaniyang buhok at leeg.
“She is indeed happy there,” singit ko.
“I just wanted to say to you that I love your brother very much. Mahal na mahal ko siya at walang makakapantay ng pagmamahal ko sa kuya mo”
“Mas mahal kita, Neve,” singit ko ulit.
“Khlea… I’m sure you are happy with what your kuya has become. He’s now a finally doctor. The dream that you both dream. Your kuya has save many more lives already… and if you’re still here, your kuya can finally save you,” halos bulong niyang pakikipag-usap sa kapatid ko.
“I’m sure you’re very proud up there and celebrating that your kuya is now a doctor. Khlea? Can you do me a favor? If you’re with my mother can you tell her that I am happy here now? That I achieved my dreams already….and can you tell her how much I miss her so bad?”
Her voice started to crack. At hindi kalaunan ay humahagulgol na siya. I just hug her tightly from behind.
“Siguro naman ay kasama mo siya?” natawa siya ng bahagay bago nagpatuloy sa pagsasalita, “you both died on the same day…”
That day…was the most painful day for her… I break her, and her mother died on the same day, which was also her birthday. Kaya ayaw na niyang sine-celebrate ang kaniyang kaarawan ay dahil sa mga nangyari noon.
But now that I am here. I will erase those painful memories and replace them with a new ones. At hinding-hindi ko na hahayan pang masaktan siyang muli.
“Your kuya and I are both happy already… kaya ‘wag ka ng mag-aalala sa kaniya. I promise to take care of him and love him until I die…”
“Tapos na akong kausapin kapatid mo. Baka gusto mo siyang kausapin?” She slightly face me and our face were one inches away kaya hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili at hinalikan siya.
“I love you,” I uttered after giving a quick kiss.
Yakap-yakap ang babaeng mahal ko ay kinausap ko ang aking kapatid.
“I hope you’re proud up there, Khley. Your kuya is now finally a doctor. And I’m sorry if I didn’t grant your promise… I’m sorry if I wasn’t able to save you. But always remember that kuya will forever save you in my heart. I love you, Khlea. I know you are happy there,” I finally said to my sister.
Pagkatapos kong sabihin iyon ay biglang umihip ang napakasarap na hangin. Pumikit ako at dinama ang masarap na hangin na parang niyayakap ako ng aking kapatid.
“Khlea heard you, and she’s proud of you,” she whispered.
Pagkabukas ko ng mata ko ay ang mukha ni Neve na napakalapit ang sumalubong sa akin. Nakaharap na siya sa akin ngayon at ang dalawang kamay nakapatong sa aking leeg. She smiling that it reaches to ear.
“And I am proud of you too, my Dr. Kyzyr Reeve Sandoval,” she said and brushed her lips against mine.
I immediately closed my eyes and kissed her back in an intense manner. I bit her lower lip and let my tongue plays inside of her mouth. Mas lalo ko pa siyang nilapit sa akin para mas mahalikan ko siya ng maayos.
While I was playing my tongue inside her, her hands slowly lost their grip around my neck and suddenly went down on my shirt. Nang may naramdaman na ako ng kung ano sa aking sarili ay pinigilan ko na. I kissed her lower lip for the last time before I stopped kissing her.
We were both panting out of breath.
I don’t want her to lose it to me while we’re not yet married so, no… I will behave first and wait for the right time.
“We can’t do this here, Neve, and we’re still not yet married, so I can’t… please behave,” I whispered in pain to her.
I need a cold shower when we get home.
“Nagpapa good boy ka ha,” she teased me and kissed me again.
“Stop it, Neve.. no matter how you’d tease me again, I will still refrain myself for doing it. I promise you before,” I said.
“Okay… okay.. I won’t..”
“We’re just going to cuddle for a while before going home,” she said and turned her back to me to lean. I hugged her tightly as I could. Feeling the genuine happiness I once was lost.
This is it… this is the feeling.. In her arms, I can feel genuine happiness. With her, I am always home. She lights up my once dark and dull life. She gives color to my once dull life.
She shines brightly in my life.
She’s my rest.
My home.
My safe place.
I can’t promise that there will be no problem that will hinder us, but I can promise that I will forever hold her and never let her go. I can promise that I will love her until I die.
I once was lost, but with her, I found my way back home. And fate drags me to be back in her arms.
Because a life without her is a world without color. It’s monochromatic and dull.
“Thank you, Neve. Thank you for coming back to me.”
Bigla siyang humarap sa akin at sinakop ang aking pisngi. “We’re both in pain. We hurt each other, but love has its way of bringing us together. And that is to be back together.I will always be back in your arms, Reeve.”
“No matter how the universe will be against us. No matter how people will try to break us apart. I will always find my back home in your arms. In your arms, I found home,” I finally said before kissing her again.
In each other arms, we found home.
