Bella paced in the hospital lobby, tears forming in her eyes, she wouldn't be able to take it if anything happened to her child
"Mom, will Nikky be okay?" Niko asked from her side and she stared at her son and hugged him close to her
"I believe so Niko, I won't be able to bear it if anything happens to you or Nikky, the two of you are my life"
Nikky had always been a very fragile child from birth hence, Bella always paid special attention to her but in a few years as she was growing, she hadn't had any health issues for a while and Bella thought that her child was finally okay.
Sometimes, she regrets not telling Daniel about her pregnancy but she has been so scared that he would take them away from her. At least they will be living a better life and not this life of always lacking something at home that she had to offer them. if only her children knew that their father was a billionaire and she had made them suffer this much, they might just not forgive her
Bella sighted Jason coming out of the hospital and she immediately straightened up, "how's Nikky, what happened to her?" She queried
"Relax, Nikky is now conscious and you can go home with her"
"B.. but what was wrong with her"
"Nothing is ascertained yet, we just need to get her blood sample and carry out a few more tests"
"Where is she? I want to see her?"
Jason showed Bella where Nikky was and she rushed toward her and hugged her, she would do anything to keep her daughter safe, sound, and alive
"I want to go home, mummy"
"Of course sweetie" she answered and took her home.
Bella closely watched Nikky but Nikky remained healthy and playful and her worries lessened as weeks went by, yet Nikky showed no sign of relapse.
Jason comes every evening to take them out for dinner and her kids are already getting used to him.
Well, they were used to him before but not used to him as their mother's fiance, he made sure to always visit and do things that made her smile.
Bella was happy, her kids were happy and most of all, Nikky seemed alright, what more could she be waiting for to get married to Jason
"Let's fix a date for our wedding," she said on one of those evenings that he had taken them out, she would learn to forget about Daniel, Jason would treat her right and she would be happy with him.
"Are you sure?" He asked softly, he was willing to give her all the time she needed and was surprised when she was the one who actually asked for a date to be fixed
Bella nodded firmly, and so, their wedding was fixed to be held in a month.

"Daniel stared at Bella's picture with a sad look, it has been five years since she vanished from his life, five years of cruelly missing her and dreaming of her. He admit that he made the mistake of treating her so cruelly but damn it, he was so angry and Joana had shown him that voice-over video that made it look like she was planning to run away with Jeremy and he had been too blinded to even think.
He was stupid not to have believed her, how could he have thought that the person who had chosen broke-ass Daniel Calvin over billionaire Nikolai Klaus would ever do something like that?
Brittany had insisted that Bella hadn't cheated on him but he didn't listen because he thought that she was simply supporting her friend, she had made Aaron look for that video in Joana's possession and had given it to their tech guy to decode, and Alas! It turned out that Brittany was right.
Daniel had been furious with Joana for deceiving him but blamed himself majorly for being blinded by his anger but that didn't change the fact that he saw her kissing Jeremy and the sex video he had seen back then was just not leaving his head.
Five years have gone by and he still thinks about her, he wonders if she has ever spared him a second thought since she left.
Sadly, she had left and hadn't even bothered with him again, he just had to conclude that perhaps, her love for him wasn't that strong and that was why she could easily forget about him.
He placed her picture face down on his table so that he wouldn't see her face and he reminded himself once more that he had to stop thinking about her.

Bella was returning from the market, she had finished selling all of her fish for the day and soon it would be time to pick up her kids from school.
Her phone suddenly rang and her heart thudded when she saw that it was from Nikky's teacher. She was suddenly filled with trepidation.
Bella was informed that Nikky had fainted in school, and that, although she had regained consciousness, Bella should come to the ASAP and pick up her daughter.
Bella dashed to Nikky's school worriedly and cried when she saw her child, she looked so pale and tiny that Bella knew that Nikky's situation was getting more serious.
Nikky's tiny arms wrapped around her weakly and just when Bella was taking Nikky and Niko home, Nikky started coughing uncontrollably, she sneezed and there was blood running from her nose
"Nikky, your nose," Niko said, fear evident in his eyes
"I feel so tired," Nikky said just as she fainted again.
Bella rushed her to the hospital and this time around she was admitted and more tests would have to be carried out to ascertain what was going on with her.
The island hospital is just a small hospital that lacks a lot of facilities but it is all that the island has.
Bella knew that the hospital might not be able to handle Nikky's case if it was very critical yet she hoped for a miracle.
She was hurdled in a chair with her son when Dr Sam, the head doctor of the hospital came out.
"I need to speak with you Ms Bella and it's urgent"
Niko stared at his mother fearfully and Bella tried to reassure her even though her insides were quivering with fear, she left Niko seated alone on the chair and followed the doctor into his office.
"This news is going to be hard on you but..."
Bella's heart pounded heavily, "tell me doctor, what's wrong with my child"
"She needs a heart transplant and she needs it ASAP if not, she will die in just a few days"
Bella's head turned and her vision blurred, few days? Her child will die in a few days? If she doesn't have a heart transplant?
"What can I do doctor? Can it be done here? How much will it cost, please just save my daughter's life"
Dr. Sam was shaking his head all the while that Bella was quizzing him, "I am sorry Bella, we have limited resources to perform such a delicate operation and as for a heart donor, I don't know, she will have to be checked in first in the hospital before the hospital will start looking for a donor and if you are lucky, she might get it in few weeks"
"Weeks? But you just said she has days to live, we can't afford to wait for weeks"
The doctor shook his head in pity, "You need to get her checked in first into a reputable hospital and there is a hospital where you can get a heart donor in a few hours or maximum, in a few days but it's quite far and...."
"Tell me the name of the hospital Doctor" Bella interrupted, she was willing to go to the end of the world for the sake of her child.
"Jenny Memorial Hospital is the name of the hospital".
