Chapter A Secret

George's POV.

I hate it when people think I always rely my happiness on other people, like my husband. But in reality, what they think always finds a way to make it real.

Yes, my husband is my happiness, my life, my family, my everything. Yet, he's the one who's keeping my heart at risk.

As I looked into the window of my house, I felt the tears approaching my cheeks.

The door creaks open, welcoming the cold aura of my brother.

"Best decision, George." It was Harry. He coldly smiles.

I'm staying in Hyeri's room. She was confined in our house and I hired a nurse to look after her.

I chose not to conduct surgery. I chose what I wanted. But what is this unsatisfied feeling?

"What does your silence mean tonight?" he asked as he sips the alcohol in his hand.

I sighed. "Harry cut the crap. Why are you here?"

He smirked, "To say my congratulatory speech, finally you've broken free from your husband. You even chose to do your decision with your daughter."

I rolled my eyes and went beside Hyeri's bed. She's sleeping soundly.

"You're that happy? I just lost a family." I raised my brow.

Coldly he looked at me, exploring those gazes from head to toe. "You just lost a husband, not a family, George."

"No I can say it, you don't really understand my situation. We didn't split for good, this is just temporary. I needed time to process everything, to digest what's been causing my indigestion."

"It's the same! Ahhck, even after your break-up, you're still an idiot."

"Say all you want."

"I'm just glad that you guys weren't on good terms.

The door creaks again, it was my maid who entered.

"He's here again, Madam. He's not in his good condition," she reported. Not good? I wonder why.

My heart races again.

I feel like I'm the villain here. Am I ruining his life and his company? Am I the problem? Yes, I am the problem.

I admitted it, so I needed time.

Arghs.

"That man should know his place." Harry stood up but before he does completely, I pushed him to the ground. Almost breaking his wineglass, he whined at me. "YOU!!!"

"Stay here, you're no good."

I went out, shivering. My cold blood is getting hot whenever we're talking about him, whenever I thought about him.

"George... my wifey." He's soaked by the rain's water. I let him hug me. "Talk to me."

"Won't you rest?" I boldly asked. "If you keep this up, I might break this completely."

He was cold ice, stunned by what I said.

That night.... when I asked for cool off he didn't agree. I just let him choose. My peace, or his.

He chose mine. But he can't afford to see me in a day. It's been three days, yet, every single night, he's here.

"I'm sorry... but don't do that." He suddenly sounded fierce. "You'll come back, right?"

His tears are continuously falling. His eyes say it all. But he talks calmly. Yul took my hand, I freely gave it.

"I love you. It's okay if you do this, if this is all you wanted, I'll give you the stage. Just don't break us apart."

I slowly felt his skin sliding from mine as he steps backward, slowly going away. He wiped the tears that wouldn't leave his eyes, he turned his back and my heart crumble.

My arms freely move to hug his back--- not, let me scratch that. I hug him in my own will.

"I hope you could still wait. Please, just wait until I'm ready for us again." My tears are going down.

He turned his body on me and hugged me back. He enveloped me in his broad chest, kissing my head gently. It's gentle and sweet so I felt tears.

"Dad!" Yael saw us. He ran toward the two of us getting wet by the rain. "You're back from work!"

He hugged both of us and kissed my hand. "You're the muse that completes the puzzles of our family, Mom. You're the escort that brings a strong firm, Dad."

This is the family I've been trying to break? Damn, I indeed got out of my sanity.

Yul's POV.

As we are both immersed in the joy that the rain brings, a clap resounds.

It was Cara, wearing her very ancient smirk.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, facing her.

Her smirk gradually turned into a laugh. "I should ask you, what will you do about this?"

She showed me a piece of plastic and let me see it clearly. I don't know what that is so I tried to comprehend without bugging to ask her. But she was impatient so she speaks again.

"I'm pregnant." Her face suddenly looked sad, but it turned out to be happy.

I was shocked, as well as George.

"You're kidding me. NOTHING HAPPENED BETWEEN US!" I can't lose this moment to this lunatic.

"That's what you say to yourself, Yul Matthew." She sweetly smiles, but it feels bitter. "I apologize if I suddenly become a fucking interference to your sweet reconciliation. As much as I wanted not to interrupt, this baby of mine is shouting for a FATHER."

That's insane.

I looked at George. "Wifey, listen, it's not what you think. I swear, I didn't do anything. You know that." As soon as I finally get a hold of her heart, shit happens again.

She steps a foot forward like a queen. She looks at Cara from head to toe, while Cara crossed her arms, revealing she's pretty scared of George's appearance right now.

"Wifey... I told you I didn't do it. Can we talk first?" It's getting a little hot in here.

"Yael, go inside and wait for us," I whispered, he listened immediately.

George turned to me, "Are you sure?"

I nodded. She fixed her eyes on Cara. "Now, leave."

W-What? Did she just...

"What? Are you... did you just... CAN YOU---"

"Am I too intimidating for you to find it difficult to respond?" George boldly took other steps closer to her. "I told you to leave."

"I can't just leave without the treasure I've been digging up all this time." Cara sneered.

"What a petty, you're digging in the wrong mine." Shocks... is this my wife fighting for me? For our family?

"Shut up! Aren't you mad that your husband got me pregnant?" Cara insisted.

George chortled. "Your crazy delusional baby isn't my husband's child. You're delusional. But I won't buy cheap things... for example... YOU." She moved a little closer to Cara. "So don't come here again, trying to convince me you're pregnant. I know the whereabouts of Yul Matthew, but did you?"

George came back to me as she clung her arms to my neck. She kissed me in front of this woman!

I didn't fight back, letting the kiss flow smoothly. My hands traveled to her butt, I carried her and she twined her legs around my waist.

As we disengage from the kiss, I smiled.

This is the wife I've been fighting for, over and over again. This is the woman I married, and I'll never regret it.

"I'LL COME BACK! I promise you'll get on your knees, beg me to give your husband back to you!" She yelled, annoyed.

George smiled elegantly. "I'm not a pawnshop. You have nothing to get back for yourself, anyway."

We waved her goodbye. While doing so, I soaked my head into her chest--- her big breast I've missed all this time.

She's ticklish, so I put my head away.

"I thought you wouldn't believe me," I said, caressing her cheeks.

"What a petty, George." Harry went closer to us, Yael is beside him. "How could you fight over a man?"

George rolled her eyes. "I'm not being pathetic just because I defended my husband. I wonder why you thought that way." I put her down.

Harry came forward and smirked. "You've been gone, but now you're back again. What exactly do you want?"

"I want my wife back." It's bold when I say it, there's nothing to hide, anyway.

"She asked you to stop. She asked you for a temporary break up. But you're like a woolly worm, gluing yourself on her."

"Will you stop, Harry? You have no reasons to get involved in our fights."

"I do, we're blood-related, George." Harry is getting annoyed. I can tell just by looking at his face.

"Exactly, not my husband, but a relative." George crossed her arms.

"But he has the right to get involved, George." Cygnus came. Damn, they're all pointing at me. Their eyes are fixed on me.

And I'm letting George stand up for me?

"George..." I stepped forward.

"Wait, are you in this together? Cygnus and Harry? Cygnus, did you ask Harry to come?" George was confused, and so am I. But Yael is here. Adult things shouldn't be settling in front of a kid--- my kid.

Before they spoke another word, I took away Yael and walk away.

"HEY!" Harry couldn't keep up his cool. He punched me, but I just responded with a glare.

"Uncle!" Yael shouted. George came to me, worried.

Cygnus went beside Harry. "I'm sorry, you have to leave."

George boldly smear, "No one's leaving this house but you two. Yul Matthew will stay. He has a daughter to see."

"What the fuck?!" Harry was mad.

"You're seriously out of your mind." Cygnus shook his head.

George just smirked. "Maybe I am? But it's nothing to be worried about."

George helped me up. As I went closer to Harry and Cygnus while we walked toward the stairs, I smirked.

It's a smirk of success, meant to be received by them alone.

I can't help but ask. "Why are you so protective of George? To the point, I can't understand you?"

George held my arm, trying to stop me from creating more scenes. But one more, I just need to know.

"I am her brother. What are you so wary about?" he smirked.

But I give it back to him. "We both know you aren't."
