Chapter Someone's back?!

George's POV.

"Did I hear you right?" he asked. He's teary-eyed.

When I nodded, he couldn't contain his happiness. Yul lifted me and shouted how grateful he was.

"You wouldn't regret this, wifey." He kissed me on the cheek. "How about we move?" he suggested.

My brows furrowed. "Move to where?"

"I'll walk remotely in the meantime while waiting for the next manager of my company. As for us, we'll move to Canada." He smiled and hugged me again. Yul was excited, but I was not.

"Yey! We're moving to Canada! I heard that it's a nice place to live. I wonder what will happen to Hyeri by then," said Yael as he looked down the floor.

Yul lifted Yael, and both were excited. If there were an instant airplane to Canada, like there's no process to be the residence of a certain country, maybe we're all flying right now.

"Why so soon?" I asked. "Do we really have to go that far just to settle?"

He nodded.

A long silence resounds. He was there to fill up the gap with heavy sighs.

"Our life will be easier if we go there." But I'm still not convinced.

"Can we talk about this? Let's think first."

He look disappointed.

"You're not good with that? Do you really want to go?" I asked. "Hmm..."

Since I've been the villain for the past few weeks, I think it's better to follow his needs.

"Mom, Dad, you're crazy." Yael walked away and went inside Hyeri's room again.

We looked at each other for a minute.... and laughed.

Remaining my gaze on him, I realize so many things about me.

It's so easy to feel happy when I'm with him.

Yul is the source of happiness I never knew I would have.

What kind of sorcery did he put on me?

"Fine, we'll leave." I smiled. His long face turned upside down. "But on one condition."

I was so close to telling him the condition, so close to boarding an airplane, so close to starting a new life.

So close... yet so far.

Flatline resounds. All of a sudden, the emotion dropped all the way from the very top. It was so good and abruptly washed away by that sound.

Yul and I lost our gazes into Hyeri's door, nurses were all bustling, but one caught my eye.

That certain head nurse called for Doctor Go, and she was calm. But her news isn't meant to be calm.

"She died. Do we have DNR?" A moment of silence, and she nodded. That's the only time she executed the order of resuscitation to start.

I went berserk. "ARE YOU CRAZY?!" I grip her collar. "DNR? I WOULDN'T FILE THAT! OH COME ON!"

"Wifey, calm down!" Yul shouted. I looked away. This isn't the best time to advise me to do such a thing.

I glared at him. "Oh please, I didn't ask for your opinion."

I went beside Hyeri's room. I watched her lifeless body, being revived. I feel so crazy! I shouted in agony, calling her name... how I wish she could hear my call.

"My lovely daughter..." I whispered. Then I felt Yul's hand on my shoulder, gently caressing it as he cried in pain.

Doctors and nurses gently asked us to go out. I don't really understand why it has to be this critical for them to let us watch the CPR. I ignored them and shed tears.

So this is the feeling of watching your loved one with no signs of life at all. They were good as dead, no contact could be made directly. Tears approached my cheeks. It's difficult.

How did she reach this point? "Have I become a boastful mother? A careless one?" I asked.

Yul gently tapped my head. "No, you did your best."

Being a parent is difficult. It is the worst occupation you could ever have because no one is telling you if you are doing it right. No instructions, just you and your estimation.

"Time of death, 7:40 pm."

"NOOOOO!" Yael budged in and hugged his sister. I can't help but cry as well.

This was so painful, I couldn't breathe. If there's more to know, please give it now.

Cara's POV.

A cup of tea, wow. It's the least that I needed. I've got everything I need for my future plan to get rid of her.

Thanks to my assistant, Belle, and her beautiful suggestion. Now, although it's kind of intense, I would love to know how well it goes.

"Cheers to your success. You truly are a Halle." He gave me a peck and smirked.

"Don't get your hopes up. I'm still trying to keep my cool since we're not yet sure when is the time to mess up his home, Mr. H." I looked away, and Belle came in after three knocks.

She gave us a meal supposed to be eaten during merienda. Food was served hot, but Mr. H. dropped it. All of the pieces have been shattered. ARGH! Now, I have to clean it.

My brows furrowed. "Why did you do that?" I'm upset, but Belle seems to like it.

"I don't want to eat. There's something more precious that I wanted to have. I wanted to lick it until it was super wet." As Mr. H spit those disgusting words, his eyes remained on Belle. Belle is not moving an inch, nor showing signs of disrespect. She was just returning the gaze.

Hmmm... "Then what's the return if I let you have her?" I smirked. It's time for negotiation.

"You can get one part of my shares to Servano company. Especially now, that the head of the family is crippled." He stood up and reached for Belle's hand. He kissed every fingertip of her. YUCK!

"Gosh, I'm too rich for that." I rolled my eyes. "Propose something that could be more useful to me." I pushed him away from Belle, and she took a deep breath.

"You took away the gem," he pouted.

"Mr. H, that's quite offensive. I don't want you to look cute in front of me, that disgusts me." I looked so disgusted so he understood it quickly. But annoyance is evident on his face.

He paused for a while, and I took a sip of tea. "I'll kill the other kid."
