George's POV.
It's so fast, like the lightning of thunder I could barely see. Like the fly, dancing near my eyes that could barely touch my hand... my daughter left me in a glimpse of an eye.
I shouted her name, knowing she wouldn't hear me at all. I know that she's now resting in peace, but my heart couldn't rest at all.
"She left us, Yul," I cried.
Just like the old saying, it's so painful to know that your child dies before you as a parent.
"She's brave to fight until the very end." Yul breathes deep. "But I'm glad that she made it this far."
I didn't answer, and just wept on his chest until the morgue claimed her dead body, I wept.
For so long, I've never cried like this. I've never hoped to the point I believe in a miracle. But that was the worst I have ever done.
Yael calmed down, and he watched Hyeri getting loaded by some random guys.
"Why are you crying, my boy?" I asked Yael. I don't really have any idea if Yael already understands it. As I asked, I heard his gentle sighs and silent cry.
His innocent face turned to me. "You know how much I love my twin, Mom. But is it really necessary to die at such a young age?" I knew it. He understands.
"No, but it happens. It's inevitable because all of us are going there. We're all waiting for our unique deaths, sometimes it's brutal. It just happened that Hyeri came first." I caressed his cheeks, flooded with tears. "I love you, my son."
He just nodded and left for his bedroom.
I know that he needs a lot of time to process everything.
His innocence is addicting. I want to know more about his thoughts regarding his dead sister.
Those thoughts are so genuine because they come out of love with a mix of none.
"Shall we go and compensate our son?" asked Yul. I shook my head.
"His alone time is all he needs."
He nodded.
It was followed by the ringing sound from the door.
He bangs so loud, excited to come inside. My annoyance couldn't help but rise up.
"What's with your temper?! Can't you wait?!" I shouted as I walked down the stairs. Mr. Yuno showed up his face.
"What a cute way of welcoming me," said Mr. Yuno. His wheelchair slides inside without permission together with his wife.
"I'm sorry for barging in," she said. "He said he wanted to meet his granddaughter. Knowing about her condition really scares us."
I sighed deeply and was about to answer when Yul went down. THANK GOD!
"Mom? Dad? Why are you here?" he asked. "Come up here."
"No, I can't. Have you forgotten I'm crippled?" said. Mr. Yuno. Argh, I can't call him 'DAD.' It's challenging to practice calling a stranger by that term.
I was about to leave, but he called for my name. "You're Stacey, right?" he asked. "So disrespectful."
"DAD!" Yul exclaimed. "I thought we've talked about this? Are you still gonna continue treating her like trash?"
I sighed. As always, this messed up family is all I left, so there's nothing to be surprised by. "Mr. Yuno, I just lost a child. Adding you up as an ingredient to my boiling cortisol, I should be leaving by now."
"Lost?" asked his Mom, Ms. Mary. "What do you mean?" Her voice is trembling, confused like me.
I nodded. "Yes, Hyeri died."
She covered her mouth. Shocked and confused, yet hurt. She came forward and hugged me. but what is this? I couldn't feel anything. I felt like a stone.
Smiling is even harder. Talking to her feel like this was my punishment... but with what kind of sin?
What sin?
AAAHHHHH!
I left there. As my two feet came forward, someone stopped me.
"Shutting your door quickly when the main guest is about to come?"
That familiar voice... it was... Mr. Helius?
"Leo..."
What the fuck?!
"What the freak are you doing in my house?" I clenched my fist.
I wanted to punch him. First of all, why is he out of the prison?
Is everything possible for a villain like him?
"Hey, don't glare." I was about to push him. But Mr. Yuno has done it first. "But I'm not your enemy now!"
"I don't care!" Mr. Yuno exclaimed. "Get out of this house. RIGHT NOW!"
"Chill, man!" Helius tried to calm Mr. Yuno down. But it's too late for that. "Please, hear me out first! I was---"
Yul punched him.
"Mommy... what's the noise?" Yael came out. SHIT!
I went inside and was about to attend to him. "Stop," Mr. Helius said. "Want to know more about your husband?"
I sighed. "All this nonsense is getting into my head. What's with the crap you can't cut to the chase? Just leave. Leave me and my family alone."
This time, I didn't let anyone stop me from going inside my safe place. It was Hyeri's room.
As I sat down on her bed, I felt her presence.
Are ghosts real?
"Beshy..." Kate came.
My tears finally burst.
She was with Cygnus and Harry.
"I never thought this would happen," said Harry, looking away. He was crying, I know because of his cracking voice.
"My baby girl is gone," I murmured. She nodded and caressed my back. "It's so... unexplainable."
They all looked away.
One of the reasons to fight every battle I face is now gone. How can I face it without her? Without the face of my loving Hyeri?
"Mommy..." Yael heard my cries, he cried too.
Yul came inside Hyeri's room and gave us a fatherly hug. Which caused Kate to back off.
"I'm sorry," Harry murmured. But none of us talk. None is interested to give a shit. Everybody is too busy crying, enduring the pain.
Another day will come tomorrow. Tell me how to face it without this pang of guilt...
3rd POV.
Mr. Helis came out angry. He removed his black coat and took out a cigarette to have some. He was frustrated.
Wanting to take their side is a lot harder now because of his previous mistake.
But does taking the side of the enemy make his heart softer?
"Cara?" Mr. Helius uttered. "Are you a spy or something? You're so creepy."
She smiled creepily and shrugged. "Why? Looks so scared, Mr. H."
He rolled his eyes and walked away from the Servano mansion. "They've lost a child. Do you still plan to reveal it amidst the chaos?"
She nodded. "It's the best time to ruin their family. Do you know that Yul even booked a flight abroad? They plan to settle there."
"How did you know all of that?" asked Mr Helius, amused. "Remind me not to make you my enemy."
"Yes, you shouldn't be. I wanted you to remain part of my party." Cara smiled.
"Why don't we stay here and take away some of their treasure?" asked Mr. Helius.
Cara rolled her eyes and stopped walking. "You're like a trash. Only worth it when there's money."
"Of course! I loooove money. If it weren't for it, do you think I'd show my face to the Servanos? They're the most hated tycoons in the business industry because of how monstrous they handle businesses. So what now?"
"How will you rob them?" Cara asked, crossing her arms.
Mr. Helius laughed. "No, not that kind of treasure."
An orange ball came rolling, bumping Cara's feet.
"Oh, I'm sorry, grandpa."
"That treasure. I'll kill him. Will you let me?"
