Jared went home, where his sister was talking to her mother and father with Sky present. They all looked serious that he began to wonder what happened while he was out.
"What's with the gathering? Did something happen?" He asked coming into the living room.
"Oh you're here Jared. Your sister's got good news, you should be proud of her." Mrs Wynn said.
"Good news? Is she getting married to someone else?"
Umbrie scoffed, "A dream that will never come true. Kieran is the only man I will ever get married to even if you don't like him. It's my choice and not yours."
"I'm not attending anyways, no need to tell me." He said walking away.
Mr Wynn stopped him, "Will you listen to what she has to say at least? I can't believe you kids are this hard to deal with."
"I am an adult dad." Jared protested.
"Yeah right." Umbrie laughed, he glared at her.
"Umbrie tell him the news or let him go to his room." Mrs Wynn warned her.
"I am representing the school in a writing competition which will take place in Dubai this week. I am going to be the main focus of the school!" She announced excitedly.
Jared is secretly proud of his sister but he doesn't show it. He doesn't like to praise her much so it doesn't get to her head.
"Good for you. Study well and don't mess up. And please keep that idiot away from you if you are want to get somewhere in the competition. Excuse me." He said leaving her speechless.
She frowned, "That's all you have to say? You're not going to praise me and you just had to bring Kieran into this, didn't you?"
Jared shook his head, "You have to work harder to earn any praises from me, I'm going to my room mom and dad."
"Don't be so mean Jared, you should at least applaud her. It's not easy to be top in your school." Sky said, after observing for a few minutes.
"You don't know anything Sky, just forget it." He left for his room.
"Whatever!" Umbrie yelled after him, "I'm going to make my parents proud..."
"That's the spirit Umbrie! I want you to win lots of prizes so I can brag about my sister in school to my friends!" Sky jumped making everyone giggle at his cuteness.
"I'll make you proud too Sky!" Umbrie promised.

THE NEXT DAY
Umbrie was going to leave the following day. She promised Kieran they would go out on a date together today. She was taking the trash outside when she saw Louis waiting outside her house. She rushed towards him looking around to see if her neighbours saw him.
Everyone knows she is dating Kieran, it would be weird if they start seeing her with Louis. Her brother would be most mad because Louis is not someone he likes. Though he still doesn't approve of Kieran, he still won't approve of Louis getting close to his sister.
Louis waved at her with a smile, "Hi Umbrie, good to see you again."
"What are you doing here Louis?" She asked more in a whisper.
"I came here to see you." He shrugged.
"What do you mean you came here to see me? Don't you know my boyfriend and brother will get mad if they see you here?" She scolded him, still in a low voice.
"I didn't do anything wrong. It's not written on your forehead that I should stay away. Besides, I am no longer a rogue. I am now a member of this pack. I should be free to move around..."
"That is not the point, Louis. The main point is the fact that you came here to see me when you know my family won't welcome you yet after what you did to me."
He sighed, "I know, I've regretted my actions after meeting you. That's the main reason I was trying to ruin your relationship with him. I may sound selfish but I wanted you for myself. I won't stop showing interest in you because of him."
"This needs to stop Louis. Don't ruin my relationship with Kieran. I can't live without him anymore. You should find someone else, I told you we can only be friends and nothing more. Please leave Louis before people get the wrong idea." She warned him.
She threw the trash away and quickly went inside. She checked from the window and saw him leaving with a sad smile on his face. She felt a bit bad for him. There's nothing she can do about it anyway. She only wants Kieran, no one else.
A few minutes later, Kieran's car parked in front of their house. Her heart almost jumped thinking Kieran may have seen Louis on the way here. She rushed outside to meet him.
"Hi..."
"Did he come here?" Kieran cuts her off with a question.
"Come on, you should trust me by now. He was just passing by, why would he come here? Even my family won't welcome him yet until he's trustworthy." Umbrie explained to him.
He sighed, "I'm sorry, I just can't with that guy. I hate seeing him around you so much that it makes my blood boil. I wanna strangle him so badly."
"Never mind, let's go. I'm dressed up already, I just have to get my purse."
"Okay, I'm waiting." He folded his arms leaning on the car.
She rushed inside to get her purse and ran outside too. They got into the car and drove to the park. Umbrie haven't been going to the park much. She is finally going with her boyfriend and it makes her happy.
They got to the park where there are a lot of people, from couples to families and lots of kids. They decided to ride the roller coaster and Ferris wheel. They both aren't scared of heights since it's their thing to jump from high places.
"This is fun!!" Umbrie yelled happily as the ride started.
"You're acting like a cute little kid but it's okay though. I love seeing you this way." He laughed at her actions.
"Kieran! I am your girlfriend not a little kid. Little kids don't know what..." Kieran covered her mouth to stop her from saying more.
Other people would have heard her if the ride wasn't so loud, and the people are all screaming.
"Umbrie! We are in public!" He yelled at her.
She took his hands off, "So what. Boyfriend and girlfriend sleep with each other is not a new thing in this world!"
Kieran palmed his face, the air sweeping their hairs on their faces. He pulled her to himself and buried her face on his chest. She always takes things so seriously sometimes. He is so used to her nagging that he will miss her badly when she leaves.
They stopped the ride and got down. Umbrie jumped around sighting an ice cream truck around.
"I see an ice cream truck. I want ice cream!" She jumped tugging his arm like a kid.
He shook his head, "Fine. I'll get you ice cream."
She dragged him to the truck where they met someone their age attending to people. It happened to be someone from school, and even someone they know!
"Scott?" Umbrie called as she got there.
This is her classmate with whom they are going out to Dubai for the competition together. He is one of the smarties in the class.
"Oh hi Umbrie. Good to see you." He said waving at her with a smile.
She expected him to be embarrassed, instead he was comfortable and smiling, like always.
"Umm... You sell ice cream?" She asked him.
"Yeah. My uncle does this so I help him during my free time. I love the kids and the park." Scott replied looking around.
"Wow, that's good to know. I didn't know you're so sweet with kids." Umbrie smiled back.
"I hope you are prepared for tomorrow. I'm excited, I can't wait to get to Dubai."
Kieran rolled his eyes at this.
"Of course, I am way more excited than you. The fact that we will be together makes it fun. I can't wait to get a new experience too..." Umbrie knows what she is doing, looking at Kieran who is probably boiling in anger as she says this.
Jealous Kieran steps in. "Excuse me, we're here to get ice cream and not to advertise our white teeth."
Scott looked at the both of them, "There's nothing to worry about. Here." He gave Umbrie a large tub of ice cream. "It's on me."
"Thanks Scott!" Umbrie takes the ice cream.
"Nope," Kieran drops some notes on the counter, "Keep the change."
He walks away with Umbrie while Scott stared at them not so surprised. Umbrie stops in front of him.
"Why are you acting this way? You were quite rude to Scott who is being nice." Umbrie asked knowingly.
"Do you want me to give you an explanation or will you get out of my way now?" Kieran sounded pissed.
"Don't be such a jealous boyfriend. Scott is definitely not my type, you worry too much." She laughed poking him playfully.
He pouted, "Well I don't like you smiling at other men. Stop making me jealous."
"I'm sorry... Let's go continue our ride. Come on." She nudged him, holding his arm with ice cream in hand.
Her cute faces made him laugh, as they walked through the crowd to the next ride.
