Jared ran his hands through his hair in frustration. He never thought he would need to explain himself to anyone let alone a human who is now his mate. The fact that he doesn't want to lose her overwhelms him a lot. In such a short period of time, he has gotten so used to her that he doesn't want to leave her. This could only be the work of the moon goddess.
"Daphne, it's not what you think. Tiana and I... We used to date but then we broke up when I found you." He started.
She stopped him, "What? So what you are saying now is that I am the reason you left your beautiful Barbie? If you hadn't found me, then you would still probably be with her now right?"
"That's not it. We already made an agreement at the beginning. I told her what would happen if I was ever to find my mate. We used to be just friends until she decided to initiate dating. She already knows what would happen after I found my mate, I thought she understood." Jared explained, getting more frustrated.
Daphne nodded, "I see... She doesn't want to let you go yet. I would totally do that too if I were her. How can you just break up with her because of me? Why didn't you just tell me everything from the start?"
"I did not think that it was necessary. It's important for me to be with my mate, that's the only way I can ever be content. I would be going around otherwise, we would still have broken up without you around. I'm sorry for not telling you from the start, I know I messed up. Forgive me." He pleaded.
Umbrie used to talk about her brother as the cold, mean guy. Daphne never saw that side of him since they started going out. He is even willing to beg him this time around just to make her stay with him?
Daphne sighed and hugged him. Maybe she was being too jealous of this Tiana girl. Jared said he can only find satisfaction with her, she should not be jealous of someone that has no connection with him. This is making Daphne rest assured that Jared is hers only.
"I am sorry too. I just... I don't like her. She came all of a sudden, claiming that she wants to see you and all that. I thought I was the only girl you brought here so I got mad knowing she came here before me." Daphne pouted like a kid.
Jared smiled, gently stroking her hair. "I did not think you would get so jealous seeing my ex. Maybe I should make you more jealous often."
"Maybe I should cut off your head then." She warned sternly.
He laughed, "That was a joke. I would never try that. I do not have super strength for that."
Daphne suddenly squealed, "You haven't shown me your abilities yet. I heard werewolves have a lot of hidden abilities. Mind reading, speed... Oh what are you? Alpha? Gamma? Beta? Omega?... What is your position?...."
Jared palmed his face to her never ending questions. He was happy when she never asked this. Now thanks to Tiana's special appearance, he has to answer all of this. She won't even stop at one, she is asking a lot of questions.

It was evening already, Umbrie and Kieran got to his house. They didn't see his parents downstairs so they rushed up to his room to avoid any questions. Umbrie was forced up, she did not want to come yet. Kieran insisted she spent more time with him before she leaves. He even insisted on taking her to the airport tomorrow.
"Why are we even here Kieran? I am not..." Kieran put a finger on her lips.
"Shhh... You'll make my parents find out you are here. I just want to cuddle with you before you leave." He pulled her towards the bed.
Umbrie reluctantly agreed, she laid there getting scared that something would get mad and then another session of what they didn't plan. She loved it, but not today. Her legs still hurts from the one they did before.
"I don't like your idea of cuddling, you won't..."
"Shhh..." He shuts her off holding her in the spoon position. "Just cuddle with me for today. I won't see you for a whole week, I deserve this much."
"Fine. Let's stay like this till you want. I won't stay long though, you know I have to go get ready." She stated.
"Yeah whatever...." His eyes are closed as he mumbled that.
"You're so annoying sometimes."
SKIP TIME
Umbrie jerked up to the sound of the alarm coming from her phone. She quickly took her phone and checked the time, it's three in the morning. Not just that, she has a lot of missed calls on her phone. She did not hear them until her alarm woke her up. She is used to studying for two hours by that time so she set a constant alarm.
"Why would mom and dad be calling me by this time when I am at home? They could just walk up to my..." Her statement stopped when a hand touched her body.
She realised where she is. She screamed loud enough to make him jump out of his bed, landing on the hard floor.
"Umbrie! What the heck?!" Kieran yelled getting up from the floor.
"KIERAN! I WILL KILL YOU! IT'S THREE IN THE MORNING AND I AM NOT HOME! MY PARENTS HAVE BEEN CALLING ME!!" She charged towards him, he ran away.
"Calm down Umbrie, I also slept off. I did not know that time has gone so fast. It's so nice cuddling with you that everything else doesn't matter. I am even hungry..." He rubbed his tummy making Umbrie more angry.
"You're hungry? Of all the things you had to say, you are hungry? I'll kill you for sure you buffalo!" She charges towards him again chasing him round the room and throwing things at him.
"I am not a buffalo baby, I am a werewolf remember?" Kieran teased her more.
There was a knock on the door that made them stop. Kieran rushed to open the door and found his mother standing at the doorstep.
"What are you doing here mom?" Kieran asked like he doesn't know why.
"Is everything alright here son? I heard some screams coming from this side, what is going on?" Mrs Diaz asked him.
"Everything is alright mom. We are just..."
"We?" His mother gave him a questioning look.
He adjusted the door for her to see Umbrie, who is already on the bed pretending to be asleep and facing the other side. "Umbrie and I are just having fun."
She gave him a mischievous grin. "Oh I see, I won't interrupt anymore but keep it down you too. I know it's hard to be quiet but... Slowly. I'll leave you two now, later." She waved at him and left quietly.
Kieran burst into quiet laughter, he slowly went to her and whispered into her ears. "She is gone baby. You can turn around now."
"You jerk! Don't touch me!" She slapped his hands off getting up.
"Where are you going princess?" He stopped her, and pulled her to his laps.
"Leaving. I'm going home before my parents kill me for not informing them before I decided to stay over at your house and making them worry about me too much." She said calmly this time.
"You have nothing to worry about princess. I will take you home in a few hours. I already informed them that you are here before you woke up. Your phone won't stop ringing so I guessed they were worried about you."
Her mouth fell open in shock. She gave him a knock on the head.
"You should have told me this before instead of making me worry. Or you should have woken me up." She scolded him.
"I am sorry, can we go back to sleep now? You will be leaving in a few hours, I should spend time with you." He asked.
"You spent enough time with me already, stop acting like a clingy kid." She rolled her eyes getting up from his laps.
She laid on the bed, he laid beside her and cuddled with her again. He felt like not letting her go. There's no need for him to think about it anymore, what he feels for her now is more than he can hold in. He has fallen in love with her.
By morning, they went home to meet Umbrie's parents waiting for the both of them with queries. Umbrie had to cover her ears to the never ending saga of her parents scolding her for going out and coming late. She was able to ditch Kieran and escape to the bedroom where she started packing her things for the important trip.
