Daphne is supposed to be discharged from the hospital soon. Her stepmother and William went to see the doctor. Some people have been watching them since and waiting for them to leave. Those persons are Tiana and her friends. They wanted to use the opportunity to quickly see Daphne and apologize before Mrs Vincent and William come back. Their parents have asked them to apologize as soon as possible or face the consequences. They already have enough punishment as it is, they thought.
"What do we do? I'm afraid to go in. What if she calls the cops on us again?" Emma asked quietly. I'm
"Let us wait till those people leave. I will go in first and you guys can come in later." Tiana assured them.
"What if she doesn't want to see us? What if she doesn't forgive us? What do we do then? We can't let her stepmother see us, she might call the police thinking we came here to bother her daughter." Alice said unsure.
"Just leave everything to me. I got you guys into this mess and I will get you out. Let's just wait till they leave the room." Tiana whispered still watching the ward.
Once they left, Tiana walked into the ward where Daphne was sitting up and resting on the pillow. She was watching a movie on her phone when Tiana walked in. Her phone almost fell from her hand because she felt rage at this time. Since she felt no pain in her body anymore, she considered herself fit enough to fight back.
"Hi..." Tiana tried to say but was cut off by angry Daphne.
"What are you doing here? What else do you want from me?!" Daphne questioned in rage.
"I'm just here to..."
"Oh let me guess, you're here to finish what you started. You originally planned to kill me but you heard I didn't die so you came to kill me right?"
"No, that's not..."
"I dropped all charges against you and your useless friends. You still have the guts to come here? Haven't you done enough? I can't..." Daphne stopped when she saw Alice and Emma walk in. "Wow. You really don't want to learn. You even came in with your friends to continue? You think I'll cry and beg you not to kill me?"
"No, we did not come here to do such a thing. Please just give us a chance. That's all we ask for." Alice pleaded.
Daphne looked at them suspiciously. She didn't trust them even if they looked sober. She keeps thinking they have something up their sleeves for them to act this way.
"What exactly do you wanna say now? I won't leave Jared because of you. I was stupid to think I could, I will never be able to live if I do that. He is a part of my life now, and I can't imagine my life anymore without him. Don't waste your sweat, I won't leave even if I die." Daphne assured them.
No one except Tiana noticed Jared sneak into the room. Tiana is the only one who knows how he walks into a place without making any sound and stopping the door from making sounds. Perhaps he did this because he thought they would try to harm Daphne again. The thought of what Jared would do to Tiana and her friends if they tried that made her cringe.
"Just listen to them darling. I think they are here to amend their wrongs. I know nothing they say now will take away the pain they gave you, but they have learnt their lessons... I think." Jared told Daphne holding her hand.
Daphne felt at ease now that Jared was around. She decided to listen to them, so she gave them a go ahead.
"We are very sorry for what we did to you. I am sorry in particular, I know I did you wrong a lot. I shouldn't have acted so childish and stupid. You are a kind person for letting us go, you didn't deserve what we did to you. On behalf of my friends and I, we ask for your forgiveness and promise never to bother you again." Tiana said sincerely.
"Are you apologizing because of your parents? You don't have to unless you really feel sorry..."
"We are sorry. I promise this is not about what our parents would do to us. I am more guilty because I learnt martial arts to stop people from bullying me but I ended up becoming a bully. I feel stupid and useless. We would never do this again, please forgive us." Alice cuts her off.
"I know it is hard, you must hate me most especially. But I am the one who needs your forgiveness the most. My boyfriend also left his ex girlfriend because of me, I should have understood you and stopped my friend. Nothing can bring back the past, but we really want your forgiveness to be at peace." Emma added with her face down.
Daphne sighed looking at the three of them. She looked at Jared who squeezed her hand and gave her a go ahead to forgive them.
She nodded, "Look, I have nothing against you girls. I'm very sure you have realized your mistakes. I have forgiven you since, if not I wouldn't drop the charges against you. I just wanted to put on a show a little."
Tiana's face lit up, "Really? You forgive us for real?"
"You don't want me to?" Daphne asked with a surprised expression.
"No, not really. We're so happy and excited. Thank you so much, I am truly sorry."
Jared stopped Tiana from talking, "I think you should leave now. I can hear them coming back."
Alice and Emma don't understand how he hears them but Tiana and Daphne does. At least Tiana kept her promise of not revealing Jared's identity to anyone even though she was mad at him. That's one of her best qualities. She is good secret keeper.
"You should leave now, my stepmother is still not happy with you all. You can talk to her some other time." Daphne warned them.
"Okay, thank you very much." Tiana said and rushed out of the room with Alice and Emma. They went the other way while Mrs Vincent and William came another way. Tiana and her friends felt relieved to be forgiven by Daphne. Indeed they were not doing this because of their parents, they did it for peace of mind.
Mrs Vincent walked towards Daphne with some papers and a smile. She still doesn't know Jared is the one who the girls were fighting for because none of them disclosed his identity. Daphne did not want any trouble for Jared.
"Dear, we can now go home now. You have been discharged as there is no pain in your body anymore." Mrs Vincent announced.
"She doesn't look like she was beaten days ago. I think she can do the chores now." William teased while his mother glared at him.
"Mom, I want to go with Jared for today. Please can I?" Daphne pleaded.
Mrs Vincent looked at Jared who is surprised, "You two should be careful with yourselves... You know what I mean."
Jared shook his head innocently, "I did not plan this with her, I don't know..."
"Don't lie Jared, she already knows you're my boyfriend. Thanks mom. Let's go Jared." Daphne got up from the bed holding his hand.
"Wow. Now I have to do the chores at home today." William whined.
"Will you shut your mouth or should I help you out?" Mrs Vincent asked.
"Bye mom, bye Willy." Daphne waved running out of the room with Jared.
"She was fine the whole time?" William asked in surprise.
"Shut up and let's go. You have chores to do." Mrs Vincent dragged him off.
"I've got a girlfriend to visit too mom, why does she get the best things today?..." He continued to whine while he was being dragged away.
Meanwhile outside, Jared stopped Daphne.
"You just got discharged, shouldn't you be going home to rest? Why spend the day with me?" Jared asked concerned.
She scoffed, "You sound like you don't want to see me..."
"That's not it..."
"Then shut up and take me home. I miss you already, don't you miss me too?" She whispered the last part in his ears making him hard.
"But you're not well and..."
She cuts him off with a kiss. "Says who? Shut up or I will shut you up."
She pulled him away ready to give him all as she missed him a lot. The same goes for Jared who has been a gentleman controlling himself.
