The next day, Umbrie went for the training. She was more prepared to prove Louis wrong about her. She got there thirty minutes earlier than everyone else. She trained alone not caring if the others would come or not. Louis met her training alone, he smiled on seeing her. She was too busy to perceive or notice anything.
When she turned to take some water, she saw him staring at her. She rolled her eyes and turned to leave without saying anything. He stopped in front of her, looking at her with pitiful eyes.
"What do you want now commander sir?" Umbrie asked in a mocking tone.
Louis sighed, "I know you are mad at me. I am completely sorry for what I did to you yesterday. Nothing I say now would justify my actions because I was terrible."
"What do you want me to do now? You already did what you wanted. Please leave me alone, I am trying to train like you wanted as you can see." She tried to move again but he stopped her.
"Don't leave Umbrie. I am truly sorry. I already reconciled with Kieran, we are friends now. I don't want to lose a wonderful friend like you either."
Umbrie choked on her breath when she heard that. "What? You became friends with Kieran? What on earth is going on? How did that happen?"
"It just happened. I know I acted childish and you hate me now. I hope you can give me one more chance to make it right."
Umbrie saw the sincere look in his eyes. She sighed, "You don't have to treat me specially but you can't treat me like I am the your enemy either."
"Does this mean you are no longer mad at me?"
"Yeah, whatever."
This made Louis smile and happy that he got his friend back. During the training, he treated Umbrie no different from the others. Surprisingly, Umbrie is doing so much better than before. Maybe his scolding did work on her after all.

EVENING
UMBRIE'S RESIDENT ( WYNN HOUSE)
The family are having a gathering in which Kieran and his parents are invited. While Kieran and Umbrie are staying in Umbrie's room, Jared also invited his girlfriend Daphne. Mrs Wynn asked them to let her do the special cooking tonight. Sky is in his room playing with his toys and doing his experiments again.
Daphne greeted Mrs Wynn who is being helped by her husband in the kitchen. Mrs Wynn already knows Daphne as Umbrie's friend so she is surprised to see her with Jared.
"What are you doing with her? Is she your girlfriend?" Mrs Wynn asked Jared.
He gladly replied, "Yes mom. She is my mate."
"Wow... I never thought you'd get a decent girlfriend. How did such a sweet girl end up with this cold man?" Mrs Wynn teased Jared.
Jared who is aware of what his mother is doing just smiled.
"He is not actually what everyone thinks he is. He is the sweetest and best boyfriend I could ever have." Daphne replied smiling at him.
"Oh... I heard what happened to you. I am glad you are good now, he must really love you."
"Yes he does."
Mrs Wynn smiled, "That's good to know. At least she is someone whose character I know well. You two go ahead my dear, I will call everyone when dinner is ready."
"I'd like to help..."
"Don't worry dear, my husband is doing the helping today so just sit. You are our guest tonight." Mrs Wynn cuts her off.
"Let's go darling." Jared pulled her away before his mother would say anything else.
They go upstairs to Jared's room which is the first time Daphne would enter his room in this house. Daphne saw that it's not too different from what his other room at his apartment looks like. She didn't get to see it well the time she peeped last time.
"Whoa... I never thought I'd be given to chance to enter this room. I only walk past it all the time." Daphne said sitting on a chair.
Jared pulled another chair in front of her and sat down. "That was before I discovered you. You are more than welcome to stay here anytime you want. Except you want to bring my sister along."
Daphne laughed at the never ending saga between Jared and Umbrie, they always act like rivals.
"Why don't you want your own sister in your room? She is your blood remember? I am just...your girlfriend."
Jared held her hand, "My sister is so annoying, she doesn't understand privacy when it comes to me. I don't know how her boyfriend still manages to be with her seriously. But then, thinking about who her boyfriend is I am not surprised."
Daphne laughed. Jared continued, "I have something important to ask of you."
"What is it?"
Jared cleared his throat, "I have ummm... I have been thinking about this since I found you. I know it's too sudden, but there's no other confirmation needed for me to know you are the right one for me..."
Daphne became tensed and serious, she kept wondering where he was going. Gladly, this doesn't sound like a breakup.
"What exactly are you trying to say Jared?" She inquired curiously.
Jared pulled the drawer beside him and brought out a beautiful ring. It was well designed and seems to have been there for a long time. Daphne's heart beat increased.
"I want to marry you..."
"What? Hold on Jared. Let's calm down... I love you a lot and you know that. I don't want you to ever think otherwise. But then... I am just nineteen and I don't think I am ready yet. I would love to marry you in future otherwise..." Daphne explained.
Jared laughed, "Why won't you let me finish first? I was going to say I want to marry you but I know you are not ready yet. I can hear your thoughts and feel your emotions. I just want you to keep this ring as a sign of my love, I don't ever want to lose you."
Daphne ended up laughing, "I am sorry. I am sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen. I guess I'm too impatient, of course I'd take the ring. It's so beautiful."
"It belonged to my grandfather, he wanted me to have it at all costs. I couldn't reject it. I'm glad you like it. At least now it should keep them away from you."
"I smell jealousy. Are you worried they would take me away from you?"
Jared scoffed, "I would snap their necks out of their bodies if they came close to you. I am not worried about anything."
Daphne kissed him, "That's scary. I don't want you to do that. There won't be any need, I am yours. No one can take me away from you. Same goes for you too. I love you."
He kissed her again, "I love you more."
MEANWHILE
"Whose hoodie is this? It looks like a man's own. It's not mine and it is definitely not your brother's own." Kieran asked taking the hoodie out of her closet.
Umbrie nodded, "Stop going through my stuff. That belongs to Scott. He gave it to me a few days ago. I will return it when he gets back."
Kieran frowned, "What?! You took clothes from that guy too? I knew he was up to something when he kept hitting on you? Does he think I am invisible?"
"You over possessive jealous freak. It's just a hoodie! Why must you get jealous over everything. I asked him to lend me because I forgot mine. He did not give it willingly." Umbrie scoffed.
Kieran wanted to say something. The door opened revealing little brother Sky.
"Mom asked me to get you two. His parents are here and dinner is served. Let's go to the backyard for dinner." Sky said looking at them weirdly.
"You can go, we'll be right there..." Umbrie told him.
Sky shrugged, "Okay."
"We will talk about this later. Let's have dinner first." Kieran suggested pulling her towards the door.
"Whatever." Umbrie rolled her eyes.
They went to the dining area set at the backyard to contain the four extra guests at the house today. Mrs Wynn made a lot of good food and they all liked it. After dinner, Mrs Wynn cleared everywhere while thru all sat down eating the sweet dessert made by Mrs Diaz.
"I am so glad everything is going well now and we are all here together happily. It was so hard with everything that was going on." Mr Wynn said.
"There's something I still find strange though." Mrs Diaz spoke up.
"What is it mom?"
"How I got healed so suddenly after sustaining such a serious disease. I still don't understand what happened."
"Come on mom, I have told you this so many times before. It's the moon goddess who let you heal so fast. You should be happy she loves you that much." Kieran replied her.
She smiled, "That could be right my son. I'm just really glad nothing happened to me."
Sky looked at his older brother, sister and Kieran. They all gave him a knowing smile. A talent like his is not something everyone should know about. It could put him in danger in the future and a lot of people might come after him. They are better off not knowing anything about his powers.
"I'm glad too mom."
