Chapter 64

The night finally came and Yiannais was in his bedroom watching the news when Levi walked in.

"Yian, all preparations has been made."

"Let's go." He replied as he got out of bed and Levi walked over to the wardrobe to fetch his shirt.

"But Master, there's something bugging me about Vael."

She slid the shirt over his shoulders. "What's it?"

"Vael has been watching you the most of all angels of death. What I mean is he knows more about you and I believe you're aware of his fast judgement and he'll do anything it takes to accomplish his goal...What will we do if a guy like him betrays us? If he goes around saying..."

"There'll be no such thing as that in the future because..."

"Yeah?" She asked, eager to hear what he had to say.

"Today, Vael will die in the most painful way possible."

Fans kept tropping into the guest's room, asking for autographs and taking pictures with Vael.

"Woah, thank you...I'm really a big fan."

"You're welcome."

"But this is your first show after a long while, aren't you nervous?" The girl asked.

"If I was nervous, then I was never a professional to begin with."

"You're my No.1 idol."

The manager and a couple of guards walked in to send out the fans.

"Okay, okay. Time's up."

"Just one more picture, okay?"

"You've taken at least fourteen pictures of him already." The man sighed miserably. "Please head out now, you'll see him on stage."

Vael's smile faded as he whirled his chair to look at his reflection on the mirror.

The people Yiannais had invited were those who were hurdles to the spread of the vaccine. There were at least a hundred of them and on top of that, the show was being live streamed.

Yiannais had ordered him to kill them at the show's peak and take the blame. But there was no way he'd go with that plan.

"I'll save these people and Daniel." He muttered.

"The show's about to start." One of the directors came to announce and he rose and headed out.

Spotlights were focused on the stage and everyone expected him to walk out but he took his time. Despite having been on stage in a long while, he still knew how to intrigue his audience.

Murmurs rose in the crowd and he could feel them doubting the authenticity of the show and a smile crossed his lips as he took out a card and flipped it, appearing on the stage immediately.

The crowd roared and cheered, happy to see him and he smiled.

"Vael, you know right?...You're in my palm."

He heard a voice in his head and didn't need to guess who it was. His eyes swept through the crowd, searching for Yiannais who he spotted almost immediately.

So he'd come to see him kill all these people.

The smile on his lips looked like they were mocking him and he curled his fist, wanting to rip him into pieces.

"Zuriña Anderson, please remember your word."

"Vael's show is starting." Kaiwan said and Daniel woofed as he snuggled his head in-between them.

"You wanna watch Vael's performance too?" Zuriña smiled and Daniel rubbed his fur against her again, sending tingling sensations down her spine.

"I can see why Vael adores you so much."

Daniel threw up blood midway into the show and fell to his back.

"Daniel?!" She screamed as they both went over to check on him as he coughed up more blood. Her hands trembled as she panicked, as she didn't know where to start checking him.

"Riña, I think he's dying." Kaiwan told her after examining him, and her eyes widened. Did that mean she had to give him her blood now? What if that killed him?

"Riña..."

"I'm thinking." She screamed as paced up and down, bitting her nails. It was driving her nuts. Why did it have to happen now?

"Riña, I think he's going to die if you don't do something." He said and she turned to look at Daniel whose eyelids were slowly closing, with his eyes fixed on her.

"You have to survive Daniel." She said as she raised her hand to bit her wrist.

"Here comes the show's last performance.I will now show you the best stage you could have ever imagined...And for that, I'll need a partner."

The hall became noisy again as the many fans raised their hands and he walked down the stage,in search of an assistant.

"Pick me."

"Who should I pick?" He spoke into his mic as he walked through the audience.

"Pick me."

"Should I?

If he killed these people on stage, Daniel and he would finally be free.

Should he go according to the plan?

A smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He had a better one.

He turned to stretch out a hand towards Yiannais. "Will you help me?" He asked and Yiannais raised his head to glare at him.

He would bring him to an end there, that night.
