He was brought back by someone's steps.
"Sir Sujata mam is calling you," said John, the newly appointed butler in place of Ramu. he followed John and found Sujata sitting with an evil smile on her face.
"Don't stress too much Rajan, I will tell you everything."Sujata started smirking.
On hearing this Rajan was stunned and stopped his pace, looking at Sujata he asked "what do you want?"
"I want everything and don't you defy me else consequences would be very bad"
"What will you do?" Rajan was furious at her. He clenched his fists and was about to nbang on the table . Her words froze his actions.
"If you ever cross me or defy me then I will immediately stop the treatment of your so-called mother." She made her intentions clear to him and yanked his arm rather harshly .
" What do you mean by so-called, she is my mother and your mother in law." His temper was rising with each passing second. He was getting impatient.
"I had forgotten she is my mother in law ". She smirked and added, "don't try to test the waters, sometimes you don't know how deep they are. Don't challenge me and make sure your so-called sister also understands this, am I clear?. You will shortly get the legal documents."After stating her conditions, she sassily went away.
Rajan pov
What is all this happening? Who is Sujata and why is she doing this? I will have to find the answers. This has to be done without her knowledge. I think I should talk to Khanna uncle. He may guide me.
Sujata pov
I'm feeling a little low these days. Whenever I overwork a little I feel stressed. And this feeling of nausea is just driving me crazy. I think it is either my monthly flow is coming or I have a stomach bug. I Will wait for two to three days and if it persists then I will visit the doc. As such I have to go and have a look at the old lady. I don't want her to wake and neither do I want her to die. My eyes are feeling heavy, so I should take a nap.
The next morning at the breakfast table Rajan told everything to Simmi and she was offended hearing it. Unexpectedly they saw someone standing, they lifted their head to see Sujata was sulking at them, "what is happening, conspiring against me."
No one gave her any response.
"John just see what is being cooked, it smells awful." She scrunched her nose due to the smell.
"Mam your coffee is being brewed and the poha (breakfast staple)that you had asked for." John came out and answered her questions.
She felt a wave of nausea hit her, she got up and ran towards the washroom and emptied her gut.
"I don't want to have breakfast and I am going to the hospital. Does anyone want to accompany me?" She said to no one in particular. When she did not get any response she went and drove off.
At the hospital first she went to have a look at Rajini," how is she?"
"She is stable neither recovering nor deteriorating." replied the nurse in charge.
She then advanced towards OPD and asked for the doctor on duty. Since there were no patients she was ushered immediately. The doctor Dr Akshit was a middle-aged man with salt and pepper hair and a sullen look.
"Good morning doc may I come in." Sujata stood at the door.
"Good morning, please come in and have a seat." The doctor ushered her in.
She told the doctor about her problems.
Dr . asked her some questions then called the nurse to take blood samples and asked her to give a urine sample. The nurse gave her a bottle to pee in. After peeing in it she handed it over to the nurse. The doctor asked her to wait for the results. What seems like an eternity the results came. The doctor had a smile on his lips on seeing the results. After checking the results thoroughly he started.
"Congratulations Mrs Kapoor you are six weeks pregnant. So you must be very happy as the child is your husband's token of love"
Hearing this Sujata was on cloud nine. At least something good has happened in her otherwise
regretful and unhappy life "Thanks doc this is wonderful news I have received after a long time."
"I can understand I will advise you to see a gynaecologist if you want I can recommend you one. Dr Sakshi is the director of the gynaecology department of the hospital and is a wonderful doctor. She is on duty at the moment, if you want I can give you the direction of her consultation room"
"My instincts tell me that I know her. I have heard her name somewhere." Thought Sujata while going towards the consultation room.
Dr Akshit has asked a nurse to accompany her. She went inside and then ushered Sujata. There sat a lady in her early fifties with sharp features . "Good morning doctor" As soon as she took a look at the doctor her eyes were filled with excitement and she exclaimed "Sakshi aunty! how come you are here "
The lady furrowed her brow trying to remember something and suddenly she says" Sujata, you Sujata is in it ?."
The nurse was confusingly looking from here and there.
"Sister(nurse) you may go I will deal with it"
"Sakshi aunty how are you and how come you are here you were in Siliguri"
" Yes, I was in Siliguri initially. three years back your uncle died. After his death, I came here. I and your mother have always loved this place. But how come you are here and how are dad and Naman"
"I was married to Raj who died from falling off a cliff just after a month of our marriage. This came as a shock to my mother in law who had a cardiac arrest and fell in a coma. I was not feeling well for the last couple of days. I came here for a check-up,
wherein I came to know that I am pregnant and the doctor at OPD advised me to see you. As for dad, he Is no more."
"Firstly congratulations and sorry for your loss. It must be very difficult for you. Forthwith let's have a look at your reports"
"It seems everything is fine I'm prescribing you some medications these are just vitamins which your body will need now, don't stress too much and take care"
"Thanks, aunty will be happy to catch up with you whenever you are free"
"Yes, that will be great. I'm usually free on weekends. Give me your contact information and I will be in touch with you and be sure to make up for your appointment next month bye take care"
"Sure bye"

Dr Sakshi is Sujata's mom's best friend who was initially in Kolkata but when her husband was transferred to Siliguri she went there and lost contact after Sujata's mom's death.
