What? He knew about that too?
My head snapped at the speed of light once I processed what he just said. I was just as shocked as everyone except that mine was for a different reason.
Ethan nodded at me reassuringly before returning his gaze to the crowd, “Yes, you heard me right. Aurora found out the mysterious powers of Arne's blood and she used it to cure every sick person in the pack. I don't need to explain to you how sacred this information is, this only goes to prove that Arne is the true heir of the pack and without him, the pack would not be able to survive it. The plague was a punishment from the mood goddess because our pack had abandoned our Luna and heir. The solution was bringing them back and good thing we did. Asides that, a heir with such blood shows that he is no ordinary alpha, who knows what else he could do? With him our pack will definitely grow into greater heights” his voice was like neither firm nor soft, but it seemed to resonate through the heart of everyone present.
At this time there was no longer any opposition, it was foolish for anyone to still disapprove of me as Luna with the heavy reasons Ethan had given. He sure had planned all this quite well, he had kept to his word of the pack accepting me wholeheartedly.
“Among all these things, my biggest reason I want Aurora as Luna is because she is my mate and I am in love with her. I want her to be mine and I want to build a family with her forever. She is my Luna” His gaze was on me as he spoke, inciting butterflies in my belly.
I smiled at him, it was a smile that showed my approval to be his. He had proved himself and made me Luna after all we had been through. He was my alpha.
“All hail Alpha Ethan”
“All hail Luna Aurora”
One by one everyone began chanting as they bowed to their leaders. I laughed, tears of joy clouded my eyes as I watched them all including Ethan's family.
This was my dream ten years ago when I was in love with Ethan. I had looked forward to the day we were going to be mates and the pack would make me Luna, it was my only dream.
It may have taken over 10 years to actualise that dream but at that moment I realized that if I had an opportunity to go back and change it all, I wouldn't take it.
All that has happened had led to this moment and I wouldn't change a thing. I had a great career, a perfect son and being approved as Luna with such respect. I wouldn't have all this if my dream had come true then. So everything happened for a reason and I have come to accept it now. Everything was much better and perfect this way.

My appointment as Luna happened a few days later. The ceremony was grand and the entire pack was in celebration, I was all smiles as I joined Ethan to greet some guests afterwards.
“Well well well, who could have thought this was your plan? To marry Aurora before I could take her away, very smart I must say” Reginald commented with a grin as he shook hands with Ethan.
We all laughed and Ethan responded, “Why thank you. She is rare gem and I couldn't just let her go so a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do” he replied and we laughed again while my face was had a hint of blush on it. Ethan and his way with words.
“Doctor Rory, I'm happy for you, congratulations” Reginald said to me.
“Thank you, for everything” I replied with a genuine smile. Reggie was a huge contribution to my life and I was forever grateful to him.
“Oh it's nothing, dear. I for one is blessed that I got to know you” he said and we both shared a friendly hug.
“Hope I'm not too late to the party?” A familiar voice said. It was Tiffany. She had a smile as she joined us. We were very surprised to see her but happy nonetheless, we exchanged pleasantries with her.
“You are just in time actually” Reginald butted in and the two glanced at each other with an unfamiliar gaze.
Seeing this as a cue to introduce them I said, “Reginald, this is Tiffany, she is a family friend. Tiffany, this is Reginald, my former boss and friend”
We both shook hands with their gaze trained on each other, lingering a little too long. Ethan and I exchanged knowing looks and he said, “We’ll leave the both of you to know each other more, we still have other guests to attend to”
We told them goodbye and left, once we were out of earshot I giggled and said, “Something tells me those two are going to be good ‘friends’ soon enough” Ethan laughed in agreement.
“Can I show you something my darling?” Ethan suddenly said out of the blue.
I eyed him in surprise but nodded anyway, “Sure”
Ethan took me out of the hall and we arrived at the balcony that faced the entire pack. It was dark outside but there was celebratory colorful lights hung across the pack and it looked so beautiful.
“This is our pack, Aurora” Ethan commented beside me with a low but audible voice.
“Yes. Our pack” I echoed with my heart filled with warmth. Look how far we have come… a memorable journey etched into my heart forever.
Ethan came up behind me and wrapped his arms around, his warm body resonated with my mine, our heart beats synced together.
“I love you and Arne so much” he said, his voice raw with emotion.
“I know. I love you and Arne too” I answered with equal emotion.
He pulled back and turned me to look at him. His eyes were teary as he leaned in for a kiss. Those eyes held peace, happiness and the most important, Love.
