After Meditating. I met my parents and Jarvis back in our family wing of the palace. It is almost going time. Jarvis and my dad were discussing the warriors and their plan of attack. While I was training with the king and Queen LaDonna, Jarvis and my dad were mobilizing the rest of the warriors with the new generals of the kingdom. The new generals are none other than Young Trevor and his team from the alpha academy. The goddess did tell me that our destinies have always been intertwined, now I understand how and why.
This kingdom has fought wars before, but this is the first time we are battling pure evil. This is the first time mates are fighting side by side. In the past, the warriors were all males and the mate remained home waiting for their mates to return. In this war, the mates are on the frontline fighting together. Some might think that is a disadvantage, but I know it is more of an advantage. There is no power in the world stronger than the power of love. Mate will fight harder and go to any length to protect each other. They will undoubtedly have each other’s back. I know without a doubt that all of my warriors and the female warriors I have trained with over the years are sometimes more deadly than the males. The enemy often underestimates us. That is a fatal mistake.
All of us eat together. Of course, the meal was protein-heavy. The atmosphere was sober. Although we are confident in our success, we are not overconfident or cocky. No matter how strong or prepared you are, you can never predict how the other person will react. For now, we have the element of surprise, but that can quickly turn. We have to keep in account that he has dark magic on his side and could be watching our movements as closely as we are watching him. That is one of the reasons that we coordinated the warriors moving from different locations and in stages. Most of them are in place or will be in place soon. When the time comes. Julian, the king, and queen of the vampires, queen LaDonna, and me will teleport our group to our attack point. We also have elite vampires and magics within the different regions that will be able to teleport warriors in and out of the battle. We have healers stationed throughout for medical emergencies. We are trying to minimize the loss of life on our side.
We are leaving in the next hour. We’ve all changed into our combat gear. We have special body suits that allow us to shift at will without shredding or getting tangled up. We all meet in the courtyard and prepare to teleport to the place where the dark lord is staying for now. The plan is simple, as soon as we teleport in, all teams will attach. Our team will stay back and try to lore the dark lord out in the open. Madam Iris and her team will be on the perimeter waiting for him to get in the open and defuse dark magic used against the warriors. The warriors will also be wearing magic canceling equipment.
The king gives the command to go and we teleport in. As soon as our boots hit the ground, all chaos begins. All teams strike at the same time. The strike is so precise and well planned, that we hit the rebel bases before they know what hit them. They have not been able to put up much of a fight. Our team quickly took out the guards and the first wave of rebel fighters.
The second wave of rebel warriors begins to join the fight. I’m guessing these were the ones off duty, being called back. They are more prepared. I give the order for my warriors to partner up and fight back-to-back. I link the elementals to start using their energies as weapons. Once they start, the enemy starts dropping like flies.
I feel a cold shift in the air. The tide is beginning to change and some of our fighters are beginning to drop. The king shouts for the wounded to be teleported out for medical treatment and replacement warriors to be ported in. So far, we are still holding our own. Queen LaDonna is yelling at the magics. The dark lord’s people are attacking the warriors with dark magic. Some of it is getting through our defenses. I link my warriors to start dodging the magical attacks. They are throwing fireballs and some kind of dark matter that burns like acid. It burns quickly and we have to quickly teleport a warrior after he is hit. I notice that they are going for the pairs, trying to take one down and leave the other one defenseless. I order the teams to double up and keep moving. A moving target is harder to hit.
The king checks in with the other teams. They are experiencing the same things. The dark lord has sent his dark magic fighters to all of the rebel bases. The fight is lasting longer and getting harder than anticipated. So far, the dark one is leading from the back. We have to do something drastic to get him to come out in the open. We can’t keep this up. We have already been fighting for several hours and I can see my warriors are starting to get tired. I reach into the earth and pull a little energy to send to our warriors. The wind also gave a boost to the warriors.
I teleport next to Queen LaDonna and ask her if we can focus on taking out the dark witches and the others. As I am talking to her. I see dark matter flying our way. My body lights up on its own and the darkness dissipates.
“What just happened, Tamaska?”
“That’s our light power combating the darkness. We can use this to take on the dark witches and warriors.”
“How do we do it?”
``Use it like your elements and create weapons of light and shoot them at the dark forces.”
I close my eyes for a second and build a light shield around myself and my team. Then I visualized bullets made of pure light and instructed them to go into the bodies of the dark forces and release the light in the darkness. Just as I visualize, hundreds of light bullets fly out of my body and hit the dark forces. All of them drop instantly and wither away.
“Wow, Seleste, that was badass.” Alpha Clark and Rose said simultaneously.
Don’t celebrate too soon,” The King said. “Looks like the dark one now has his eyes on you. And is coming for you now.”
“This is what we want, we want him to come out in the open,” I say.
All of the dark forces turn to me and start making a path toward me. Instead of coming after me directly, he is sending everything warrior he has after me. They start attacking the warriors trying to get to me. My warriors are getting overwhelmed. I have had enough of this. I don’t want to see my warrior hurt or killed.
“Tamaska, can I create light weapons to share with my warriors?”
“Yes, you can, Lettie. They will work like the bullet you created. They will be pure light.”
“Thanks, T.”
I link Prince Julian and the other Elite Vampires.
“It is time for us to take this fight to them. Are you all with me?”
They yelled yes.
“Ok. I am going to create light swords for you all to use. Let’s teleport between the dark forces and take out as many as possible. Think about your blade or sword of choice and I will manifest it in your hands.”
There were about 10 of us, each armed to the teeth with light weapons. I turned my dagger to a long sword and we began teleporting from one dark warrior to another and either stabbing them or cutting their heads off. The ten of us had gone through half of their forces in less than 3 minutes. They did not know what to do because they could not predict where we would pop up. Our strikes were random or at least appeared to be. Some of the dark witches tried to follow us, but we doubled back and killed them. One thing I noticed was that some died instantly, while others were severely injured.
“That’s the darkness in them, Lettie. The ones that are pure evil are killed instantly because the darkness has overtaken them. The ones that are just injured have not been taken completely over by evil. If they survive, they can be given a second chance to live in the light.”
“Everyone deserves a second chance. I hope they take it.”
“Fate will decide Lettie. You are doing your part, the rest is up to them.”
I’m bouncing from spot to spot, taking out warriors. I have lost count of how many of the dark warriors we have gone through. All I know is that there are more warriors down than there are still fighting. He must be running out of warriors to pull from because the stream of new warriors coming after me has greatly decreased. I encourage my team to keep it up. Victory is in sight.
As we were cutting down more of the dark forces, the earth began to shake, and I heard an angry growl.
“Enough of this. Can none of you kill a simple teenager?” The dark lord yelled. “Must I do everything on my own?”
The dark lord started walking towards the battlefield aiming for my location. I had actually stopped moving around so that he could find me. This will be our best chance to get him. Madam Iris and her team tried to cage him, but he threw it off with a wave of his hand.
“Do you all honestly think you can trap me with parlor tricks? I can kill all of you with just a thought.”
Just like that, Madam Iris starts choking and looks like she is near death.
“Throw light at him. Lettie.”
I send a beam of light directly to him and his hold on Madam Iris is lifted. I link the king and ask him to restrain my father and Jarvis. I am the only one that can take on the dark lord and survive. I need my father and mate to stay safe, but I know they will try to protect me.
The dark lord keeps walking towards me, throwing warriors out of his way on his quest to get to me. I hold my ground waiting for him to get to me. I link Queen LaDonna and Madam Iris. They will need to all work together to put a cage around the dark lord and me once he gets within range.
“Once we are within range, I need you all to trap us together so that neither of us can get out and no one can get in. Once we start fighting, I need you all to get into your point so you can bind him if I am not successful. No matter what happens, we cannot let him get out of her today. He must either die or be bound. Promise me you all will not drop the cage no matter what happens until he is dead or back in his prison.” They agreed.
“Jarvis, Daddy I love you both, I need you to trust me and let me do this. I know you both want to protect me, but I have to do this. This has to end here with me.”
“No Seleste, absolutely not. I will not let you do this alone. Remember the moon goddess said that we are a team. We live or die together.”
‘You are partially right. As moon warriors, we are a team, but as a warrior of light, I have to stand alone. We can’t defeat him with just the power of the moon. We can only imprison him, but light always overcomes darkness. Have faith in the goddess and have faith in me.”
“I don’t like it, but I will forever stand by you. I love you, baby.”
“Do what you need to do Sweet Pea. Your mother and I love you and we are proud of you.” My dad says as my mom stands next to him with tears in her eyes.
“you got this baby girl.”
“I know mom.”
“That’s why you are my favorite daughter.”
“I’m your only daughter.”
“And don’t you forget it.” My mom says.
‘This is so touching.” The dark lord says. “I hope everyone has had the chance to say goodbye. Are you ready to die?”
‘The question is, are you ready to die?”
“Look pop, I was standing next to the Creator when he hung the moon in the sky and made the stars. Do you think your puny moon powers will work on me? Surrender now, bow to me, and I will let you and your family live.”
“I will never bow to you.”
“Then prepare to die.” He said as he attacked me with a long dark sword.
I called my light sword and blocked his attack. We continue this way for a while. I blocked every attack he threw at me. I could tell he was getting frustrated and frankly so was I. I don’t know how long I can keep this up. His attacks are coming faster and faster and have not been able to go on the offensive yet.
“You might as well give up. pup. I have been fighting longer than the world has been in existence. You have no chance against me.”
“less talking and more fighting. You are beginning to bore me.”
He did not like that. His attacks seem to have increased.
“Queen LaDonna, you all need to be ready. I don’t know how much longer I can hold him.”
“Don’t give up Seleste, remember, light shines brightest in darker. Use your light and activate the true power of the dagger.”
“I don’t know how.”
“Trust your instinct. Look within. The spirit will guide you.”
I continue to physically fight, but now my mind is centered.
“T. What do we do?”
“Seleste, you received a double blessing for a reason. You can’t defeat him as a moon warrior or a warrior of light as separate entities, but you can if you combine the two powers. They are both a part of you. Speak to the light.:
I hear a voice saying, “Speak to the dagger. Speak to the light. Speak to the elements. They know what to do.”
“Thank you, Gabriel.”
“You got this little wolf. Believe in the power of the light to shine and guide.”
Gabriel’s voice fades and I am back in control/ The dark one’s attack falters slightly.
“Gabriel, I feel your presence. You cannot interfere. It is not our time yet.”
Gabriel does not respond to him, but I can feel my light getting stronger through my connection with Gabriel. I look within myself and speak to all energies within myself. I feel them merging with each other. I feel the power traveling down my arm and onto my sword.
Now that I am infused with power, I go on the offense.
“Oh, looks like the pup has claws after all. Not bad, but still no match for me.”
“Remember dark lord, pride goes before a fall. Be prepared to fall.”
The dark lord gets angry and rushes toward me at full speed. I use my combined powers against him. The wind sends a strong gust to push him back. The earth sends up roots to hold his feet and arms. My sword lights up with power. I can feel the power radiating from the sword to my arm.
“No this is not possible. How are you using the power of the destiny dagger?” The dark lord asked. Not looking so confident now.
I walk up to the dark lord as he struggles to break free from the roots, but can’t move. The roots are infused with light, so the light is already seeping into his bloodstream. I walk up to him and pierce his heart with my sword. I was going to take his head off, but Gabriel manifests next to me and says it is unnecessary to take his head. I sent the dagger and light directly to his heart. He is finished. The light has eaten away at his heart.
“As you can see his body is breaking down. I will now take him back to the creator. The world will never have to deal with him again. Be vigilant, great warrior of light, the dark lord was not the only dark force on earth. The other one has yet to be awakened. It may not come in your lifetime, but as keeper of the dagger and light, make sure your generations to come are prepared. I will be seeing you little wolf.”
Angel Gabriel and the dark one disappear. I didn’t even realize that I was no longer trapped by the cage, but was soon caged in Jarvis and my daddy’s arms.
“Ok, guys. I can’t breathe.”
‘Don’t ever do that again.” Jarvis said. “Don’t ever ask me to stand on the sidelines while you fight again. My heart can’t take it.’
“I can’t promise you that, but I can promise to try or at least promise to do everything in my power to be the victor if I do.”
“I guess I will have to take that.”
Jarvis walks me over to the campsite that we set up as our base for the war. All through the dark one is down, there are still a couple rebels fighting in pockets. The king has ordered that there be no mercy shown to the ones continuing to fight. The ones that gave up as soon as the dark lord fell, will be allowed to try to redeem themselves. It is all so tiring. I think I will take a nap, while they sort the rest out. I link Warrior Peace and let him know that I am napping. I’m leaving the team with him and Jarvis. I told them to wake me if they need me, but I know they won’t. This war is pretty much over and won.
