After spending a restful night in Jarvis’ arms. I get up and spend a couple of hours in meditation. I didn’t wake Jarvis up to meditate with me this time. Tamaska and I needed this time with our elements. We all needed to recharge. They let me know they were at full strength and were ready. They also believe in the war that we are facing. The elements do not want to see a purely evil world. They need balance.
While in meditation, mother moon visited me and Tamaska. She wanted to let us know everything would be ok.
“Seleste, my child.”
“Hi mother moon.”
“Seleste, you are going to hear and see a lot on the battlefield. Trust your team to do what they need to do so you can focus on what you and the other moon warriors need to do. There will be a gift left for you at the palace. If you get the opportunity, use the gift. Tamaska will know what to do.”
“What is the gift and what will it do?”
“I can’t tell you that yet, but I will tell you that if everything lines up and Tamaska tells you to use the gift, do it without hesitation. You may end the ultimate evil permanently. I have faith in you, Seleste. That is why I am giving you ultimate power. If everything aligns just right, you will have the power in your hands to kill a demigod.”
“The dark one is a demigod?”
“Yes, he was created by the God of Gods. He has his very essence. Only something blessed by the Creator can kill him. Stay pure at heart and faithful. I will be with you.”
“Thank you, mother moon.”
I get up soon after the moon goddess left. It’s time for me and the team to head out to the airstrip. We are taking Jarvis’s jet to the palace. We say goodbye to Jarvis’s parents, the beta couple and Talia and the twins. Since Jarvis’ pack is the largest in the western region, it will be a staging ground for this region. Beta Mason will assist daddy Dockson and momma Daisy run things at the pack. Mason’s mate will assist the visiting warriors to get settled. We have opened all of our visiting quarters to house everyone. We also provided tents and open space for those species that prefer to remain outside.
Before I know it, we are landing in the airfield of the palace. It is finally sinking in that this is real. We are going to war in the next 24 hours. As soon as we disembarked from the jet, the king ushered us to his private quarters. The king handed me a small ancient looking trunk. I took it and looked at him expectantly.
“Seleste, the goddess, asked me to give this to you. It is the blade of destiny. Only a limited number of people can touch it and only one person can activate its power. The person has to be pure in heart and chosen by the blade. The goddess believes you are qualified to be chosen by the blade. Because you are a descendent of an original, you can touch it. You should keep it on you person. Once it chooses you and bonds with you, you will do the impossible and kill the evil one.”
“So, this dagger has been blessed?”
“Yes. My family has guarded this dagger since the creation of our kind. Your ancestor was the first person it bonded with, but even he could not activate the full power within. Only a pure blood can touch and only the purest of heart can bond with it and activate the power within.”
“Why does it come to me?”
“Because, my dear Seleste, you have been proven to be the best and purest of us all. Your capacity to love and forgive surpasses us all. You are the only one in our generation with any chance of being bound with the dagger. The moon goddess herself wants you to be the one. She has faith in your ability to activate the power of the dagger. We may all want to end this war, but we all have our own reasons, most of them personal. You, my dear, are one of the few who care more about protecting all supernaturals than any personal gain and no hidden agenda.”
“Ok. Your Majesty. I am ready to do whatever it takes. Thank you and the moon goddess for believing in me.”
I take the dagger out of its case and attach it to a holder on my led. I immediately feel a power rush.
“Wow, in all of my years, I have never seen the dagger bond that quickly. I am confident that we will end his reign of terror and send him back to his creator.”
The king and I end our meeting and I walk to the room Jarvis and I will be sharing. We have a couple of hours before everyone gets here. Jarvis is with the royal beta right now doing last-minute checks to make sure everything is in order. I am glad for a little downtime for myself to reflect.
“T. How do you feel about all of this? I’m a little overwhelmed.”
“Lettie, we have been given a great responsibility. I believe we are up to the challenge. There is a human saying that to whom much is given, much is required. We have trained our whole life for this.”
As soon as Tamaska finished her link, a bright light appeared in our room. Standing in the light was a 7 foot tall male. His light was so peaceful that his presence did not scare me or Tamaska.
“Greetings little wolf. I am Angel Gabriel. I felt your bond with the dagger of destiny. You are blessed among all wolves. You have been chosen to not only save your kind, but all species. The dark one does not just want to conquer all were-kind, he wants total domination of all dimensions. From this point on, you are not only a moon warrior but also a warrior of light. I am going to touch you and fill you with the power of light. Do you accept little wolf?” The angel asked.
“Yes, I accept and will do all I can to protect this world from the great evil.”
The angel reached over and touched me on my forehead. My body became enveloped in light. Just as suddenly as it began, the light and the angel disappeared. I heard the angel in my head saying that all I had to do was call on the light in times of darkness. He and the other angels will be with me.
“Wow T. That was something.”
“I have no words, Lettie. You are truly special, and I am blessed to be paired with you. I could not have asked for a better human.”
Jarvis mindlinks me to let me know everyone has arrived and are meeting in the king’s war room. I get up, wash my face, and go to meet everyone else. When I walk into the room, everyone stops talking and just looks at me.
“Umm, Seleste baby, you are glowing.” Jarvis says.
“I am?” I asked.
“Yes, you are. We have truly been blessed. Do you all know what this means?” Queen LaDonna asked?
Everyone except the king and the other royals look confused.
“Seleste has been blessed as a warrior of light. Very few are ever blessed by light.” Queen LaDonna says.
“What exactly does that mean for my daughter?” My mom asks.
“It means that she is not only the chosen one for supernaturals, the Creator of all has also blessed her to protect this world and all creatures within. Seleste now has power over darkness. I’m guessing, Your Majesty, that Seleste has bonded with the dagger of destiny?”
“You are correct, Queen LaDonna. The bonding was instantaneous.” The king says.
“This changes things. We will prepare the spell as we planned, but the king and I will personally train Seleste to use the dagger and activate its power. None of us will be able to train Seleste on using the power of light, but her wolf should be able to guide her whenever the time is right.”
“The angel Gabriel said to use the power of light in the times of darkness. I’m not sure what that means, but I believe that whenever the evil one uses dark magic. I should be able to combat it with light. In theory, light cancels darkness.”
The look on everyone’s faces is priceless right now.
“What? Why are you all looking at me like that?”
“Seleste, did you have an encounter with an angel? Not just any angel, but the greatest of them all personally came to you?” The king asks.
“Umm yes. He said his name was Gabriel. He told me he was giving me the power of light and touched my forehead. In times of darkness, the angels would be with me, he said.”
“Seleste, you are truly blessed beyond measure. There is no one greater than Gabriel other than the creator Himself. If Gabriel came to you, you are more powerful than we could imagine.” Queen LaDonna said.
“I don’t feel any different. I told the angel Gabriel that I will do everything in my power to protect the creatures in this world.”
“That’s why you were chosen. Your heart is pure. With all the power you have been given, your only thought is of protecting those who can’t protect themselves.” The king says.
“Ok everyone, let’s go ahead and get the blood that we need.”
Queen LaDonna produces a silver blade and slices her hand over a ceremonial chalice. She passed the blade and chalice around to everyone in the room. We all follow her and cut our hands, allowing the blood to flow into the chalice. Jarvis pours the blood from his father in the chalice as well. Queen LaDonna then waves her hand over the chalice and says some words that appear to be Latin or some other ancient language.
“Tamaska, do you know what she is saying?”
“Yes. She said Let the power in this blood, the power of life, the power of love, the power over evil, bind the force of darkness. Bind him in the north, Bind him in the South. Bind him in the East. Bind him in the West. Bind him now and forevermore. So Mote it be.”
“T. How can you understand her?”
“I don’t know Lettie, I just do.”
“OK”
Queen LaDonna repeats the words three times. Once she was done, light and smoke burst out of the chalice. Queen LaDonna takes a swallow from the chalice and then passes it around to the rest of us. Just like with the blade, we all do as she did. While we are taking a swallow, Queen LaDonna again repeats the chant.
“The binding spell is now active in all of us. Once we get to the battlefield. We all need to surround him. Your Majesty, I need you to be at the northern point. Councilman Bari, I need you at the southern point. I will take the east and Seleste will take the West. The Trues will take the midpoint on the east. Alpha Clark and Alpha Blake will take the midpoints on the west. Prince Julian, you and your parents will flake Seleste and be ready to move her if she cannot teleport herself. While we are getting set, Madam Iris and her team will try to trap the evil one in a magical cage. They will only be able to hold him for a couple of minutes, so we will need to move quickly. Seleste, if you can get close enough to him, without jeopardizing your life, use the dagger on him. We will strategically place the warriors around all of us to protect us while we are focused on chanting.”
Queen LaDonna repeated the chant for us in English so we would know it, then had us practice it in Latin. We will need to recite it in Latin.
“Are we all clear on the plan?” The king asked.
Everyone indicated that we were.
“Ok. Get something to eat and rest. We pull out at 0600 hours. Queen Ladonna and I will work with Seleste for a while.”
I spent a little over an hour with the king and Queen LaDonna, learning how to bond with the dagger and how to follow my instinct and the power flow of the dagger. According to Queen LaDonna, Once I activate the full power of the dagger, I and the dagger will become one. The spirit of the dagger will live within me. I understand that concept since I have developed a relationship with my elemental powers. They are like entities living within me. The king and Queen LaDonna leave me to bond with my dagger on my own. They both feel like the goddess has prepared me enough for the task ahead of me.
I was too wired to rest. I spent a little time with my parents and mate, then spent time meditating. If ever a time I need my energies at 100%, it is now. Tamaska and I could tap into all of our elemental powers. Surprisingly, my shadow element and light power blended together well. The shadow reminded me they are pure energy and the only way they are dark is if the person using them is walking in darkness. Since I am pure light, they are light as well. During my meditation, I bonded more with my dagger. The dagger showed Tamaska and I how to put her away by magic and how to call her back to me at any time. She also showed me how to change her appearance and use. It excited me to learn that my dagger could become a sword. The best thing I learned is that if I combine my light with the dagger, it destroys any purely evil thing it touches. This can greatly benefit me. I may not have to get as close to the evil one to do damage to him. Plan A is for me to take him out. Plan B is for us to trap him back in his magical prison
