CHAPTER 54

"Hmm," I hummed, contemplating for a moment. "Actually, there is an issue. Everything was going perfectly, and your surprise exceeded my expectations. But here's my concern: why did you buy such an extravagant ring? This isn't even our wedding ring, and I dare you to suggest that our wedding rings will be even more expensive than this," I playfully threatened him.

I am aware that I have a penchant for luxurious things, but the ring holds great significance to me. It symbolizes eternal love. I desire a simple ring to wear in public, one that proudly signifies that it was given to me by the man I adore and who adores me in return.

"What's wrong with an expensive ring?" he asked, genuinely puzzled. "You deserve it, and so much more. Let me indulge you," he pleaded, his eyes filled with a genuine desire to spoil me.

It's as if he doesn't see me as a spoiled brat—no! He actually calls me a spoiled rotten brat. This man is truly something else.

"I'll let you spoil me in other ways, but not with rings. I want to showcase the ring you give me to people. I don't want it to attract unwanted attention," I explained, a hint of annoyance in my voice.

He suddenly burst into loud laughter, causing other guests to turn and glance in our direction. I scolded him immediately, aware of the attention we were attracting.

"Logan, lower your laughter," I scolded him. "There are too many people looking!"

"Haha, I apologize. I couldn't help but laugh at your reason for disliking expensive rings. Who told you that I would let anyone with ill intentions come near you? I will hire the best bodyguard, and no one will harm you on my watch," he assured me in a tender tone, his words coated with sweetness.

"You're quite the flatterer," I said, playfully teasing him.

Leaving him behind, I approached Kate and Alessa, both of whom were radiating happiness on this special occasion.

"Congratulations to both of you," Alessa said, taking hold of my hand.

"I am certain that your relationship with Logan will flourish and become even more beautiful. I'm sure your husband will be kinder than mine," Alessa added with a smile.

"I heard that, Love," Alessa's husband chimed in, their two children in tow.

"They both can be mischievous, but I dare say Logan is the lesser of two evils. By the way, congratulations to both of you. I hope you don't regret returning to Logan. He has been stubborn for so long. Nevertheless, I am happy that our brother won't end up an old bachelor," Kate quipped.

"I heard that too, huh?" Logan interjected, embracing me.

"If you ever dare to cheat, I will immediately report you to Krystal. She said she would crush your manhood if you play around," Kate warned him, referring to the threat I had shared with them.

"Don't listen to this sister of mine, she's just trying to instigate," Logan dismissed, slightly irritated, as he pulled me away.

The wedding day has finally arrived. Today is the day when Logan and I will be united. Kate and Alyssa are helping me get ready, while Logan's family is filled with joy over our union. However, I couldn't help but wonder about the opinion of his other brother—the one who was always absent from any occasion due to his constant world tours.

I can't quite explain the sense of radiance I feel while wearing my white gown. It is so breathtakingly beautiful that I almost shed a tear. I never expected it to be this perfect.

"Oh no, don't cry just yet. You might ruin your makeup. Save the tears for my brother later. I want to witness him crying tears of joy," Kate teased, causing us all to laugh.

"That's right, Lopez men rarely shed tears," Nicole chimed in.

As everything comes together, I gaze at my reflection in the mirror. I look like a princess, ready to claim my crown and become his queen. I couldn't ask for anything more.

"Our beautiful bride is ready. Let's go because I know our groom can't wait," Kate declared, and we all agreed.

A car awaited us, accompanied by a bodyguard, as the Lopez men are particularly cautious. They want to ensure there are no repeat incidents like at Alyssa's wedding. I understand the need for security measures; they don't want any mishaps or trouble.

However, there are hardly any antagonists in our lives anymore, or if there are, I probably don't even know them. As far as I know, Riyu is already engaged. I spoke with him last week, and Logan is aware as well. He apologized for what happened before, on that day when I rejected him—just as a reminder. I have already forgiven him. Logan and I are similar in that we look forward and face the future, leaving the pain of our past experiences behind.

Upon arriving at the church, I noticed my father waiting for us. He looks even healthier now, having made a commitment to living a healthy lifestyle. He appears relaxed, leaving everything in our hands.

"I'll walk you down the aisle, my child," Dad said to me, and together, we strolled along the flower-adorned carpet.

As mentioned earlier, our wedding venue is unique—not in a church, but beside a waterfall. The setup is simply enchanting!

It feels magical, not because of the location itself, but because of the man eagerly awaiting my arrival. As predicted, my soon-to-be husband stood there, tears of joy glistening in his eyes. He looks exceptionally handsome, my future husband.

Approaching him, my father offered him some advice.

"I may not have been a perfect husband to my wife, and I hope you never repeat my mistakes with my daughter. Please don't become my karma, alright? Love her unconditionally. Don't make her shed tears. As long as my daughter is happy, I am content," Dad advised him.

"You can count on me, Dad."

With that, my father entrusted me to Logan, marking the beginning of our new chapter.
