"What the hell happened?!"
Maayos na ang kalagayan ni Calvin ng makarating kame ng ligtas sa Manila ngunit hindi ko pa din magawang kumalma dahil sa nangyareng iyon.
"I doubt he's giving you a warning."
Nanatili akong nakatayo habang patuloy na nakikinig sa sinasabi ni tanda.
"We investigated the hospital case and we found out that this is the vice president's doings."
Hector is here too. I don't know what to think anymore. Sa totoo lang hindi ko maintindihan ang matandang iyon. Masyado ba akong threat sa kaniya?
"What are you going to do now? He's just testing you. Tutuloy ka pa rin sa plano mo? This is not a kid game na kapag may umaway sayo gagantihan mo."
I tried to calm myself. Isa lang ang nasa isip kong paraan para matapos na ito. Hindi ko alam kung sinadya ba niyang iligtas kame para mapapayag niya ako sa gusto niya.
"I think he needs something to you. He's a man that wouldn't do something bad kung wala siyang bagay na gusto sa iyo. Could you tell us what is that? May tinatago ka pa bang hindi namin nalalaman?"
I am not afraid even if he is the Vice President of this country. If he wants me, then he should have chased me.
Nang medyo kumalma ay nmumupo na ako sa sofa bago pinagmasdan ang paligid. Hindi ko tuloy naiwasang tumayo upang magmasid. If he knew what I planned, may be he plant somthing here. Hindi ko din maintindihan kung bakit hindi pa nagpapalit ng secretary si Director kaya hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko pa siya napagkakatiwalaan.
Nang walang makita ay umupo na lang ulit ako habang nanatili pa rin sa akin ang mga mata nila. Isa isa ko pa silang pinagmasdan bago tuluyan umayos ng upo.
"What?"kunot noo na sabi ko.
"We're waiting for your plans. Why did he do things like that? I remembered the last time he do something like this is when-"
"If he wants something from me, he should ask me personally. I used to be a criminal lawyer but I am thinking why he hasn't gone after me."
Natahimik sila saglit ng mahinuha ang sinasabi mo. I hate how they act right now. Hindi ako mahilig mag isip ng masama sa kapwa pero sa inaasta nila ngayon ay parang may kakaiba.
"Let him be. If he wants something from me, then go after me."
I don't think I need to say something to them. I doubt there acts.
"Are you saying you won't go after him anymore?"
"No. But still, Calvin needs to go abroad. He could be here anymore. Whenever he saw something like that, he could breathe normally. May progress na rin sa Charts niya."
I act as nothing happened earlier.
After we discussed everything we need to talk I left the office without telling them my original plans. For now, I know Calvin was fine, and I could go back to my condo if I want but, I am not going there because they might also hear my plans.
I need to plot an original plan without any ears.
Hindi ko alam kung may traydor sa kanila dahil pati ang biglaang pagpunta sa boracay ay malaman nila. Isang bagay ang alam ko, hindi nila kayang galawin ang kapatid ko.
"You won't go inside?"
Natigil ako sa paglalakad ng humintl si Roge sa kwarto ni Calvin.
"He needs to rest."
Matagal ko pa siyang tinitigan bago tuluyang naglakad papalabas.
"Where are you going?"
"Magka-kape. Sama ka?"
Nagagawa ko pang magbiro sa harao niya ngayon samantalang kanina lang ay mataas ang dugo ko dahil sa nangyare.
Pagpasok sa elevator ay tumingin pa ako sa gilid gilid bago humarap sa kaniya.
"If they tried to know more about my plans don't waste your time talking with them. Somethings off," seryosong sabi ko bago tumunog ang elevator at kusang bumukas ito. Natigilan pa ako ng hindi malang siya gumalaw sa kaniyang kinatatayuan.
"Let's go."
Hinila ko pa siya papalabas bago siya tuluyang gumalaw.
"What do you mean?"
Nang makapunta sa parking lot at hinanap ko pa ang motor ko bago tuluyang sumakay roon. Kinuha ko pa ang helmet bago sinuot iyon.
"Tara na."
Hindi natanggal ang nawiwirduhan niyang reaksyon hanggang makarating kame sa malapit na café.
"Are we buying coffee?"
"Ano ba ginagawa ng tao sa coffee shop?" sarkastiko kong sabi bago nag order for two and take out.
"One espresso and one cappuccino for taking out."
Matapos umorder ay umupo pa kame sa isa sa mga table habang inaantay ang kape. I open my phone to call someone.
"Are you already here?... Yeah. I'm about to go..."
Matapos ng mabilis na tawag ay nahagip ko naman ang mukha ni Roge na kunot noo pa rin hanggang ngayon.
"Are you doing something tonight? What's with the call?"
Maybe some moments I saw the jealous Roge and, he looks the same today.
"Jealous?"
"Seriously? You look weird today. I even saw you scan the office earlier and, then after that, you sound different. What are you thinking?"
"Unfortunately, I decided to go somewhere with you tonight. I remembered you already practiced some martial arts skills when we weren't together."
Napabuntong hininga pa siya bago kame tinawag para kunin ang inorder namin.
"We can stay here and go after the coffee. I told you something's off, that's why I tried to act weird in your eyes. I realized how they are acted concerned and worried and tried to know more about my new plans. Isa sa pinakamakapangyarihang tao ang Vise Presidente. I doubt they became involved."
Kunot noo pa rin siyang nakatingin sa akin habang pinoproseso ang mga sinasabi ko.
"We are going to her after this."
Seryosong sabi ko bago nag iisip na hinipan ang kape habang inaantay ang sasabihin niya.
"Are you saying there's a traitor? Director is the guardian to Calvin while hector and Atty. Adams, you also know them. What are you thinking?"
"I couldn't trust anyone, even you. I am not dumb not to figure out. Even if I tell you this, you won't understand. You've been involved because of me, the only thing you should promise is to keep yourself safe."
Matapos niyon ay kinuha ko ang isang bagay sa bulsa bago isinabit sa leeg niya.
"Lucky charm," nakangiti ko pang sambit bago umupo muli.
