Rogen's Pov
I always think if she knows what is she doing. It was the worst day in my life after I became one of the victims of the killer's mind. I know it was painful for her to suffer all her life. I understand her flow and I love everything about her. I needed to watch her sleep in the hospital bed. I am scared of the way he acted this morning. Alam kong nasasaktan siya sa sinabi ko last night pero ginawa ko pa rin masabi sa kaniya ang totoo. She needs to know. Alam kong magagalit siya sa akin pero hindi ko pwedeng iwasan siya upang hindi makita ang galit na nakikita ko sa mata niya.
Nanatiling tutok ang mata ko sa kaniya habang natutulog. Nasasaktan ako sa isiping hindi ko alam kung paano mawawala ang lahat ng alalahanin at ang poot sa puso niya. Its been years after her Mom's death pero patuloy pa rin siyang himingi ng hustisya.
"Hello?"
Naramdaman ko ang pagvibrate ng phone ko mula sa aking bulsa kaya naman hindi na ako nagpaligoy ligoy pa at sinagot ang tawag kahit hindi ko pa nalalaman ang pangalan ng tumatawag.
"Meet me at my office, now."
It was the director who called. Nanatili pa ako ng ilang segundo sa kakatitig sa kaniya bago umalis at kausapin si Director. That man is a traitor. I know it from the start pero wala akong magawa para ipaalam kay Amber iyon. Wala na siyang masasandalan pa kundi ako na lang. Wala ng totoo sa paligid niya, ako na lang. I need to go back here in Manila matapos kong malaman ang totoo. Ginagamit ng Director ang posisyon at pagpapakitang gilas kay Amber para makuha niya ang gusto niya. Alam ko iyon pero wala man lang akong magawa. How should I stand in front of her if that man is my uncle?
"Mind you telling us what happened?"
Kaya kong piliin si Amber kesa sa kaniya pero hindi ko pa maaaring ipakita iyon sapagkat nahahawakan pa niya sa leeg si Amber.
"Anong plano niyo? Could you please stop now? Hindi ko lang kase maintindihan para saan ang lahat ng ito. You saw how that man killed Doctor De Luna! Pero what is the meaning of this? Hindi ba kayo napapagod na gawing miserable ang buhay niya?!"
They didn't react. They knew that I loved her. Sa ngayon yun na lang ang totoo sa lahat ng nangyayaring ito.
"Do you know her that much? She's still willing to have that justice even she died because of bullets."
"That is because she wants peace! You both know how she determined to kill that man who killed her mother! Tell me, why are you all doing this? Is this because he is a powerful man in this country? Is it because of his money? What?!"
"She's being like his father although at some point she looked like her Mom. The only thing you need to know is that Adeline isn't an angel as you think. She is the reason why you haven't seen your father when you grew up."
Hindi ko napigilang tumingin sa kaniya ng may nakakalitong tingin. My father died when I was five. I don't know why they need to talked about my father now.
"Wha-"
Magtatanong pa sana ako ng matigilan dahil sa pagvibrate ng phone ko. Nang maisip si Amber ay mabilis kong sinagot iyon.
"Go to the rooftop now. She's in trouble. The Vice President follows her."
That was the voice of her sister. Hindi ko tuloy napigilan tumakbo. Amber is in danger. Hindi ko alam anong ginagawa niya sa rooftop at kasama pa ang Vise Presidente. She needs to be careful. If something happened I don't know what to do anymore.
Halos hindi ako mapakali sa elavator dahil sa bagal nitong umakyat papunta sa floor ng rooftop.
"Why did you kill her?!"
Muntik pa akong madulas sa hagdan ng marinig ko ang boses in Amber.
"Amber!"
She tried to walk towards that man but he tries to walk away after seeing me. Nakaramdam ako ng matinding kaba sapagkat nasa paligid ang mga tauhan ng Bise Presidente.
"Amber stop. Please. Dumudugo na ang sugat mo."
I tried to talk to her calm after the man go away. Hindi pa rin nawawala ang galit sa mga mata niya.
"Hey. Let's go now. You need to eat."
Imbes na tumugon sa sinabi ko ay nagpauna na siyang naglalakad. Inalalayan ko na lang siya hanggang makasakay kame sa elevator.
"You need to get ready now. I talked to your brother earlier. You'll fly abroad with Calvin tonight."
Matagal bago ako napalabas sa elevator ng tumunog ito. She is determined to keep her mind with justice. I can't go with Calvin. If he trusts my brother like me, I think that man needs to take care of him. I need to stay and to know what the other side plans.
She kept walking until we reached the other side of the fire exit and saw her sister.
"I thought you were already killed by his guards? He's trying to make you madder. He like teasing his any before they do something bad."
"That's his last smile."
After a few words, she kept walking again pa-palabas sa fire exit.
"Why not tell her everything?"
Pinigilan ako nito maglakad at tumingin sa akin. She knew it too. Alam niyang may alam ako. Alam niya ang lahat na nangyayare sa paligid ko.
"What do you mean?"
"I told you to know more about this guy. Don't be blind because of love. And you, don't be selfish and tell her everything."
She is trying to make her sister madder right now. I can't tell her because I haven't know everything too. She would be in danger if she knew something.
Kunot noong tumingin siya sa akin bago tuluyang tumingin sababaeng nakahawak pa rin sa braso ko.
"I don't care."
Nagulat ako ng seryoso niyang sinabi iyon bago tuluyang tumalikod at nag umpisa ulit sa paglalakad. She should be mad by now. Pero imbes na magalit ay parang wala lang itong umalis papalayo.
