"That's enough. Minsan napapaisip ako kung ano ba talaga ang mayroon sa inyo? Can you tell me?"
Amber started walking towards my direction. She's not afraid with guns. Kahit na papilay pilay siya sa paglalakad ay ito pa ang hinahangaan ko sa kaniya. She kept walking until she hold the gun and move it more closer in my forehead.
Natitigilan akong napatingin sa kaniya dahil sa gulat.
"Tanda, I'd finally saw your fangs. Why not kill him just like what you are supposed t do now? But before you do it, can you please tell me ano ang dahilan niyo? I keep thinking about how miserable I am because I don't know everything. I'll let you kill him if you tell me everything."
Sinusubukan kong titigan siya ngunit nakapokus ang paningin niya kay Atty. Adams habang nakatutok ang baril sa noo ko. Walang alinlangan at seryoso lang siya habang hinihintay ang sasabihin nito.
"Really? What about your promise that you will be married after this?"
Halos manlaki ang mga mata ko dahil sa sinabi nito. How could- Is he stalking us?
"Then, we can't?"
"We are the important part of your Mom's death. Why not let's have a deal?"
Sandaling lumaylay ang balikat niya sa narinig bago siya umayos sa pagkakatayo at ngumingisi pa kay Atty.
"That's good. Hindi ko na pala kailangang lumayo pa para malaman ang totoo. Tell me what do you know? Aside from not telling me that she still breathing that time?"
"How about you Mr. Director? What's your purpose as a director of this hospital? Why don't you tell me now hanggang gabi pa?"
Everyone is silent. I can't open my mouth because the gun never leaves on my forehead. I kept breathing heavily because of the pressure around. They need to stop. I can see a fire surrounding Amber's direction. She's trying to hold her anger to come out.
"Why? Can't you two talk? I am waiting."
Hindi ko alam kung paano ba mapipigilan ang nagaganap ngayon. I don't know their real reason and I don't want to know about it.
Magsasalita pa lang sana ako nang manlaki ang dalawang mata ko ng paliparkn niya ang hawak ni atty na baril gamit ang isang kamay.
"You two can go,"I heard it from klea who talked to her doctor before walking towards us. Mabilis na nagkagulo ng makarinig ako ng putok ng baril mula kay Amber.
Nagugulat pa ako ng may humila sa akin papalayo sa lugar na iyon pababa sa roofstop.
"What the hell?!"
Sinubukan kong magpumiglas ngunit dalawang malalaking tao ito hanggang sa sumakay kame sa elevator bago pinindot ang lokasyon ng parking lot.
"Kuya?"
Doon ko lang napagtanto na naroroon din si Calvin sa tabi ko.
"They will bring you to the airport. Everything is set so don't you ever go back here."
That was the voice of Doctor Wilson before removing his lab gown until the elevator opens.
"Mind telling me what's going on?"
"This is not the time for that. Your brother is waiting at the airport."
Nagugulat ako ng bigla siyang nauna bago may sinapak na nakasuot ng tulad sa mga gwardya ni Director.
"Don't worry this is only the start. You need to go back here after five months."
Magtatanong pa sana ako ng hilahin ako muli ng tauhan niya papasok sa isang Van.
We silently arrive to the airport dahil mabilis ang byahe sapagkat wala ng masyadong sasakyan sa paligid. Sinunda pa namin ang mga gwardya na para bang preso na kailangan bantayan. I can't believe this is happening. I am worried about Amber. I know she can survive out there but I don't until when. I already told her na sasama ako kay Calvin. I can't risk her too. Ayokong makadagdag sa alalahanin niya. Her sister is there and that doctor too but whenever I think abou how Amber slowly realize what's japoening earlier, I want to hug her.
Calvin is sleeping. Maybe that's because of the medicines she drank earlier.
"Hi bro? WhatsApp?"
He is really here. I thought Roigie will be waiting for us after we arrive there.
"Tara na. Amber called earlier. She said I need to go here just to pick you up because she knew you'll try to escape."
She knows me well.
"Let's go."
Nagugulat naman ako dahil halos kaladkarin na nila ko makasakay lang sa eroplano.
"Pasensya na. She said, okay lang daw kahit kaladkarin ka naman para lang makasakay sa eroplano."
Calvin was already inside and asleep. Ilang saglit pa bago tuluyan kaming lumipad papaalis ng bansa.
Hindi ko mapigilang mag alala habang muling inaalal ang nangyare kanina. I already saw that look before. She don't like being played.
"You can't go back there. By the way, Calvin's doctor said after three months, he will be finally cancer-free. He needs to be observed first."
Magkahati ang lahat ng iniisip ko dahil sa sinasabi niya. Hindi ko na siya halos pinapakinggang at tuluyang ipinikit ang mga mata na umaadang matatanggal ang pag aalala.
'Trust my word. We will be marrying each other after this.'
That was our last word together. That was the last time I talked to her. I thought we just need to wait till five months and we can be together again but it's been seven months. I haven't had news. I tried to go back to the Philippines but my passport always got declined.
"Wow! Kuya look!"
I am with Calvin and, just as I promised, I'll help him to know more about driving.
We are under the sky waiting for her. Calvin kept his promise that after being cancer-free, he will be a good man.
"Wala pa rin?"
I tried to investigate but still no sign of her.
Babe, tell me where are you so, we can fulfill our promise. You need to go here so we can live together.
I don't know what's the day today but, I will not forget to remember the old past.
