At the a bar, Almano walked in with Blood in his hands after killing the men sent after him. He knew he was safe at the bar because it was part of the Rogues territory.
“Almano my man” Stiles, the bartender smiled when he saw him.
“Nice to see you again Stiles” he answered.
“How may I help you?” He stood in front of him holding a bottle of tequila mixing it with a pill.
“Just need a drink to calm down my anger, I had a rough day” he said clutching to his chest. The injury he sustained from Alpha Coast to his heart hadn’t healed fully because they were from an Alpha, he knew he would take three days at most to heal.
Stiles pushed him a drink to him and he drank it all at once, he demanded for another which was given to him immediately.
“What really happened, didn’t the plan work” He asked noticing how downcast he looked.
“Almano” Seven more men walked into the bar and once they saw Almano, they walked up to him.
“Hey guys” he greeted with a faint smile.
“Tell us, did the plan work?” One of them asked.
“I was just asking him that” Stiles uttered as they looked back at him. Almano had gone to them for help to attack a wolf which they willingly obliged.
“Who was she by the way?” Another asked him while he was still quiet about it.
“Is it a new attraction, a girl you probably liked?” The next guy asked.
Almano stared at Stiles remembering how his plan almost worked but Coast had to ruin it for him.
“No, the plan didn’t work” he said and they all sighed at the same time.
“But what I want to know is why you would attack a woman you actually liked, what is the point in harming her if you really like her” another asked him.
“She is not some ordinary girl, if you hadn’t given her the element of surprise and attacked her first then you all would have been dead” Almano replied.
He had studied a lot about Bella and he knew how much power she possessed.
“She is a strong woman and doesn’t play the damsel in distress to anyone except her mate” He stated knowing how vulnerable Bella acted whenever she was with Coast but when she was with other she was as tough as a rock.
“So we attacked her so that you could play the hero to her right” another asked.
“Yeah”
“Hold up, are we all forgetting the fact that he just said she had a mate?” Stiles seemed to be the only one who noticed that Almano claimed the woman he was attracted to had a mate.
“It doesn’t matter man, I know she feels drawn to me but doesn’t want to admit it” Almano said in his defense according to what he thought.
“I don’t think you understand how mates work here, I am sure you just mistook kindness for affection. You always do that” He stated knowing Almano all too well, there were a few things he was not keen with like knowing when a lady was attracted to him or not.
“I didn’t mistake anything, I can bet on my life that she actually likes me” He objected and Stiles sighed. He didn’t want to argue any longer with him but deep down he knew that the lady Almano had feelings for had none for him because she had a mate. And from what he knew, mates had a special bond drawing then together most especially when they were both carrying each other’s mark.
“You are bleeding man” one of them called to his attention noticing the blood stain on his shirt.
“Where did you get that” Stiles immediately asked concerned about him.
“It is nothing, I just got it from a fight while coming here. I will be healed in no time” he covered up. He didn’t want them to know the true details of what really happened.
“So you are back for good now” He was asked as they waited for his response. Almano took a good look at all of them, he had missed his buddies so much.
“Yes I am” he replied and they raised their glasses up for a toast over his return.
The doors to the bar opened wide and a woman walked in with a veil on her face.
“Supreme mother” they all recognized the woman.
“Leave” she ordered and all the men scurried out of the bar except Almano and Stiles.
“Mother” Almano walked up to her to touch her feet when she slapped him hard across the face.
“I sent you to kill your brother but instead you fell in love with his mate” she yelled at him angry over what he had done.
“Mother I can fix this” he muttered.
“Fix what, the minute you step your feet in that pack you would be killed. I had given a mission to only kill your brother Coast but you just messed everything up, tell me how you intend to fix that” She barked at him.
Almano was dead silent facing his mother, he knew he had messed up their plan.
“Do you enjoy seeing your brother have everything while you get nothing. How many times do I have to tell you to get your head straight into this” she echoed.
“I thought that if I could get his mate then I would be able to break him” he replied.
“What were you thinking, she is his mate for damn sake, they had been through a lot before they could be together. Did you think you could severe such a relationship that had already been through the worst and still stuck together?” She asked him seeing how absurd his idea of taking Bella away from Coast sounded.
“I am sorry mother” he apologized.
“I am so disappointed in you, you have ruined all our plans and now I have to start again excluding you from it” she answered. Almano was the first piece of her puzzle in getting revenge on Coast for what he did to her. After he had banished her and her son in the past, she had sworn that she would make him pay for doing that to her but her dear son Almano deviated from the whole plan of killing him to falling in love with his mate Bella.
“Just give me another chance” he requested going down on his knees to her, he knew she was so mad at him for ruining her long plotted plans.
“What chance are you talking about, your brother is already searching for you to kill you as you speak. You really are a disgrace.
From now henceforth you will stay here and not step out of this territory for what ever reason. I had lost your father to Coast and I am not about to lose a son to him too” She said giving him strict instructions. The news of what Almano did got to her ears from a spy she had in the Red moon pack who watched his every move.
“Please mother just give me another chance and I will not disappoint you” he demanded from her.
“Forget it, you would only ruin the plans once again” she uttered.
“I promise you mother that I would definitely stick to the plan no matter what?” He stated.
“You should have thought about that before you decided to make a mess in the first place. Stay here and never leave, is that understood Almano” she ordered him.
“Yes mother” he replied getting back on his feet, he could tell that his mother was not prepared to give him another chance. She wasn’t keen on giving second chances in the first place and he knew that quite well. All she wanted was to get her revenge on Coast and restore her lost reputation and glory.
“Good” she covered her face once again and stormed out of the bar.
