Alpha Coast and Bella were just returning from a sprint in the woods when they heard a scream for help.
With the amount of Rogue attacks going on, They could only guess that someone was in danger.
“Did you hear that?” Bella asked to know if she was the only one who heard the scream for help.
“Yeah I did” Coast replied.
“Where did that come from?” She asked.
“Help me” they heard the screams once again followed by a loud growl. Alpha Coast quickly changed into his wolf and carried Bella on his back as they sprinted towards the direction of the voice.
They went beyond their border and a bit further until they saw a lady covered in bruises laying on the floor, she had just been attacked but her attackers were no where to be found.
“Is she still alive?” Bella asked hopping down from Coast back as he changed back to his wolf. He looked keenly at the average woman covered in her own blood and was shocked by what he saw.
“Impossible” he muttered.
Bella believed he knew her so she had to ask him,
“Do you know her?”
“Adeline” he muttered a name signifying that that was indeed her name.
“Why is she here?” He asked frowning his face in anger just from seeing her.
“Who is she to you?” Bella asked puzzled by what was going on, she had just watched Coast move from a state of shock to pulling his face up in a frown.
“My stepmother” he uttered and she was surprised. Was it the same step mother that he had banished never to return because she turned his father against his mother.
“She is your step mother” Bella repeated making clarity of who the strange woman really was.
“Let’s go” he grabbed her.
“You are not about to leave her here like that, she will die” Bella said in the woman’s defense, she looked like she was close to deaths door with all the injuries she had sustained.
“What do you expect me to do, help her.
You know very well what she did to me in the past, besides I had banished her so I don’t care what happens to her” He stated Mad that Adeline would dare try to come back to his pack after he had warned her not to.
“You cannot leave her like or else she would really die” Bella pleaded.
“That is what she deserves” he said.
“Please, just help her and then you can send her back to where she came from” she requested of him.
“Fine” he said accepting it, he picked up the strange woman and took her into the pack.
Seven hours later in the Red moon pack hospital, the strange woman woke up to an unfamiliar environment.
“Where am I?” She asked sitting up.
“The hospital of the Red moon pack, the Alpha brought you here” the doctor informed her after making sure that she was okay.
“What Alpha?” She asked.
“Alpha Coast, have you been here before because you look familiar” the doctor asked trying to recall where he saw her face. He had worked in the pack for years and could easily tell a face but he was trying so hard to recognize the woman.
“If this is the Red moon pack then I have, it has been a while since I last set my foot here” She answered.
“I guess you must be glad that you are back here” the doctor said with a smile on his face and then left her.
The doors to her ward opened and Coast walked in looking furious, the aura coming of him was cold as he twisted his face in anger.
“Coast” she called out his name in surprise once she saw him.
“I see you are finally awake, good now you can leave” he said without a chance for them to exchange pleasantries.
“Coast is that really you?” She asked with tears rolling out of her eyes as she walked towards him to touch his face. He had grown so much in the past few years that they were separated, she had never thought he would turn into such a handsome young man.
“Who else would it be?” He answered with a hint of sarcasm.
“I never…”
“What were you doing just by our border, you know you had been banished from here and you still had the guts to come back” he said cutting her off. He already knew that she had wanted to get into the pack before she got attacked by whatever.
“I had to see you”
“What for?” He asked.
“To apologize for all that I did to you” she stated but his face showed how uninterested he was in her apology.
“Don’t you think it is a bit too late for that” he said recognizing all the harm she had done to him and his mother in the past. She was the reason why his whole family was destroyed and he had to kill his own father when he didn’t want to.
“Coast please” she pleaded for him to hear her out,
“Leave this pack immediately, since you are all healed up I am sure you know your way out and do not make the mistake of coming back” he strictly warned her not wanting anything to do with her. He hated her for all the things she had done to him.
Adeline knelt before him holding his legs,
“I know I have wronged you in the part and I am not worthy of your forgiveness but please forgive me” she begged him holding him tightly.
“Never” he uttered.
“Please Coast, I regret all that I did to you, how I ripped your family apart that is why I am here to amend my ways and reconcile with you. Please forgive my dear child” she muttered and he pushed her off him annoyed by what she just called him.
“I am not your child and I will never be, leave this pack Adeline before I order my men to throw you out” he commanded.
She moved closer to him and bowed her head on his feet crying.
“I deserve death for all that I have done to you and your family but please do not be so harsh on me. I beg you.
Don’t send me away when I am trying my best to make amends for what I had done” she pleaded with him.
“I don’t care why you are here Adeline, I have no plans of forgiving you either. Why don’t you return to your good for nothing son and never return” he barked at her and pulled his feet from her.
“My son is dead” she uttered and he halted in his steps, he turned back to her and she was crying profusely about it, he moved closer to her and held her hand pulling her up.
“I don’t give a shit about that, you deserve that” he whispered in her ears just when she thought he was going to have mercy on her because her son was dead but instead he was still very mean to her.
“Please Coast, please don’t send me away. You are the only family I have left” she bore out her heart to him in tears.
“We are not even related, will you stop with the stupid act and tears. I am not your family and I would never be.
You have just thirty minutes to leave this pack otherwise I will send my men to throw you out dead or alive” he instructed her and then stormed out.
Adeline continued crying after he left, she sat back on the bed when she noticed someone had been standing there.
From the way she looked at her, Adeline could tell that she had been watching Her and Coast for a while.
“Good afternoon Luna” a nurse greeted while passing by and she immediately knew who she was. She was the mate of Coast, she could visibly see the mark on her neck. The young woman was beautiful and had a perfect body, even she was jealous of her beauty.
“No wonder he was crazy over her” She said understanding why her son Almano was obsessed with his brother’s mate to the point of ruining the plans they had made to get revenge together.
“Are you his mate?” She asked as Bella moved closer to her with no expression on her face, she was quite hard to read so Adeline didn’t know if she had pity on her or not.
“Yes I am” Bella replied folding her arms.
She instantly grabbed her hand holding them in hers,
“Thank just so much for giving him happiness, with all that happened in his life I was scared that he might end up alone but you are here for him. I am so grateful that you are in his life” She said with a smile on her face to convince Bella that she meant good for Coast.
“Honestly I came here to reconcile with him because I thought he would be alone and bitter but now that you are here I am rest assured that he would be okay.
You love him right?” She asked.
“Yes I do” Bella said. She studied the woman in front of her and she could tell that she had really repented of her sins.
“I am glad that he has you, now I can die peacefully knowing that he would be happy with you. Please take good care of him, you are all that he has.
I may have no where to go from here but atleast my heart would be at peace knowing that he would be okay, even though he doesn’t want to forgive me and I fully understand that” She said prepared to leave.
“Wait here” Bella said and left instead.
A smile erupted on Adeline’s face after Bella left, she knew it would be hard to convince Coast that she was sorry for what she did but with Bella it would be much simpler because she had a kind heart from what she heard.
“Let’s see how you would reject your mate” she muttered knowing that Bella was going to talk to Coast in her Favour and all she had to do was feign that she was actually sorry and Bella believed her straight way.
She rested her head on the pillow relaxing because Bella was going to do all the work for her. She may not be able to convince him to fully forgive her but she would be able to convince Coast to allow her to stay after she claimed that she had no where else to go.
