Bella had been with Coast for a whole day now, she refused to leave his side because she wanted to be there when he woke up. Bella believe that Coast would wake up soon, he was the Alpha which meant he would be able to fight harder.
“How is he doing?” Adeline joined her.
“He hasn’t moved at all” Bella said with her eyes half closed, having stayed the whole day waiting to see if she could catch a little glimpse of him moving.
“I hope he wakes up.
We have found the culprit” Adeline disclosed to her causing Bella to immediately stand up from her seat.
“Really who is it?” She asked happy that she could find a cure for Coast in no time and bring him back.
“We did a thorough search around the castle and it turned out to be Denise” she relayed.
“Denise?” Bella asked in shock. She would never believe Denise would do such a thing.
“No, it can’t be Denise” she said. She knew the type of person Denise was and she was not capable of harming her mate.
‘Ofcourse you would say that’ Adeline said to herself, she knew Bella would doubt such news so she prepared a plan just in case.
“What the hell are you saying, we found the substance in her purse, isn’t that clear evidence that she is the one” She said. Adeline swore to herself that she wasn’t going to let Bella ruin her plans. Denise had to suffer for what she did or all her plans would be ruined and she would be back to square one.
“I believe it is a set up, Denise would never do that. She has no reason to do so neither does she have a grudge against the Alpha” Bella defended her. She knew Denise too well, she wasn’t even that close to Alpha Coast to even think of poisoning him and for what reason exactly.
“Can you hear yourself Bella, I have told you that we found the evidence in her purse but here you are claiming she is innocent. Are you supposed to be siding with the culprit or with your mate” Adeline raised her voice at her. She wasn’t going to back down until Bella was helpless and agreed with her.
“I said it is not her, release her immediately” Bella ordered but Adeline was adamant about doing that, if she released Denise then everyone would begin to suspect her. She was already so close in executing her next plan and nothing could go wrong.
“This is why you were the first target in the first place, if I hadn’t saved you then you would be the one lying here lifeless. Denise already know your weakness and everything about you, she knows that you would never suspect her. You are playing according to her plan, unluckily for her she made a mistake and kept the evidence in her belonging causing us to find it out because the Moon goddess couldn’t let such an act go unpunished and now you want to set her free” She raised her voice so loud making herself look serious and coordinated before Bella.
“I have told you that she is not the one” Bella insisted on her words defending Denise, she would much rather blame Adeline for poisoning Coast than blame Denise. Bella wondered if Adeline was the one who set her up though.
“This is why they refer to you as the weak Luna, even while your mate is facing death you are still being weak and pathetic. I am sure that if you were the one lying down here, Coast would have taken action immediately.
You are a sorry excuse of a mate for him, just when I thought you could be his pillar. You have chosen to let him down in such a dire moment. I am disappointed in you Bella” Adeline stated using the triumph card that she was disappointing her mate Coast whose health is critical.
“Just so you know, I am going to make sure that Denise confesses and give us the antidote to save Coast, I cannot keep seeing him like this” She added.
“I need to speak to Denise” Bella replied.
“What for, so that she can cry to you claiming she is not the culprit and you the soft hearted Luna would easily believe her and set her free. I cannot have that happening when we are so close to getting the antidote” She muttered.
“Are you going to object me, do you know who is in charge here?.
Should I remind you that I am still the Luna of this pack and I can do what ever I want” Bella stated feeling offended that Adeline would dare speak to her in such manner.
“I am sorry but just as you are the Luna, I am also like a mother to Coast, I am not going to harm Denise if that isn’t what you want but give me a few hours to prove to you that she is the culprit and also get the antidote from her.
Just a few hours that is all I ask” Adeline requested. It was better not to provoke Bella because then she would begin to use her powers and the little power Adeline had now as the step mother of Coast would vanish into thin air.
“Just two hours and then Denise is out of there” Bella agreed but deep down she knew that Denise was not the culprit and that she was being framed. She still suspected Adeline for what happened to Coast but she had no evidence to prove that mostly now that all fingers were pointing at Denise. Whatever might be the result, Bella swore to get Denise out of there, Antidote or no antidote.
“Thank you” Adeline stated. Two hours was more than enough for her to implement her next plans.

Lucian visited Denise in the dungeon to tell her that he was going to get her out.
“Tell me Lucian, did I do any wrong in coming back with you” she asked him. Lucian was easily reminded of one of the reasons why she did want to come back. After the sirens, she was shaken about what next could possibly be in store for her.
“I am really sorry that this happened to you” he apologized with deep regrets seeing her locked up but he knew he wasn’t going to give up and would get her out in no time with whatever it took.
“Why won’t you ask me about the poison” she asked him to see if he also doubted her like Adeline that she could use the guts to poison the Alpha.
“I trust you and I know that you would never do that” he answered.
“Then why won’t Adeline believe me” she questioned, no matter how much she had tried to explain to Adeline, she still had he locked up.
“Because she is the one that framed you, the Alpha has been suspicious of her from day one and I am more than certain that she is behind all these. She poisoned the Alpha and framed you for it” Lucian informed her and she was shocked. She became pissed that she had begged Adeline to listen to her but she didn’t because she was the one who set her up.
“I will speak to Bella and get you out of here” he stared.
“Are you sure that she will believe me, I mean this is her mate we are taking about and Adeline is her mother in law. Wouldn’t she trust her instead?” Denise asked in fear.
“Don’t worry about it, I won’t let you stay here. Bella knows what type of person you are and that you would never do such a thing” he assured her knowing Bella was going to believe him.
“Please get me out of here” She pleaded with him.
“I will” he assured her once more holding her hand. It hurt him so much to see her in such place under such circumstances, he had never thought that bringing her back would only end up in her being in the cells. If he knew that then he wouldn’t have brought her back to suffer such fate when she could be enjoying a peaceful life with him away from the pack and from all the chaos.
“Everything will be fine” he stated telling himself more than her.
