Chapter 92: Waiting for Ages

My mother pulled my hand, and we went to her room. She opened the cupboard and took two beautiful white dresses.

“Please try these, sweety. If you like it, I hope you will use the dress for your wedding tonight.”

I burst into tears since both dresses are gorgeous. “Oh, mom! How can you have such beautiful dresses?”

“When I told you about the three months of waiting, I bought them. Since I thought maybe I could give them as a wedding present for you.”

“It’s perfect, mom! I can’t think of a better dress than these two.” I wept and laughed. My mom is amazing! How could she do this for me?

“Don’t cry! We have no time to prepare you to be a breathtaking bride. So, smile.”

“Yes, mom.”

Then I tried the first dress that had laces and sparkles. The dress fits my body well. Later, I showed it to my mom.

She nodded. “Try the second one.”

When I wore the second dress, I knew it was perfect. The dress is simple, with a few ruffles on the short arms and a low neckline that shows my cleavage. The dress follows my body shape and stresses it nicely. Then a few rose patterns were embroidered on the dress. Later, I showed the dress.

Then my mom wept. “Oh, sweety!”

I cried too. “It’s the dress. It’s amazing!” I hugged my mom. “Thank you, mom. You made my day perfect.”

“I’m so happy for you, sweety.” Then my mom grinned. “I have an idea.”

“What is it?”

“I’ll let you know later. Now, go! Have a quick shower and make up your face. I’ll talk to Ethan first.”

I followed what my mother told me. I truly needed the shower since it would refresh my body and mind. After everything I experienced in Constantine’s castle, I needed time to cope with what happened. Yes, he had died already, but the terror and the trauma popped into my head at the most unexpected time.

After taking a bath, I applied makeup on my face, then wore the wedding dress again. Finally, my mom returned to her room.

“We will wait for Red.”

“Red?”

“Yes.” My mom giggled. “I told Ethan he’d better wait for us in the villa. It would be a surprise for him.”

“Did he agree?”

“Yes, he is my good son-in-law.”

Both of us giggled together like schoolgirls.

“Now what?”

“You can tell me why you and Ethan have a haste wedding.”

We sat on the bed. “Well, it’s a long story, mom. As a cursed werewolf, Ethan needs to break the curse. The clue he received is only the true love from a young and powerful witch who can set him free. He should love the witch too.”

My mom’s eyes were shining. “You are the witch.”

“Yes! I only knew it when Constantine kidnapped me. He told me everything, including that I have a power that Mom Mia inherited.”

My mom wept when I mentioned Mom Mia. “Oh, yes, my Mia ….”

“Constantine also told me that the first time I make love to a man, it will strengthen the man and even break the curse.”

“It’s destiny. All are like the missing puzzles that you finally can gather and shape into a complete and splendid picture.”

I nodded. “It’s true, mom. When I knew the first time about the witch before the kidnapping, I tried to end my relationship with Ethan since I wanted him to find the witch.”

“Why? You love Ethan so much.”

“Because I thought if I stayed with him, it wouldn’t help him. I wanted him to live his life as it should be.”

“Did he agree?”

I shook my head and smiled. “No, he was furious. It’s all a history that I can tell our children later.”

“Yes. I’m glad everything will work as best as it can be.”

Then the bell rang.

“Wait here!” My mom left her room. When she returned later, she carried a small box. “From Ethan. He sent it through Red.”

I received the box and opened it. Inside the box is jewelry set from blue aquamarine stone and diamond. The necklace has a love-shaped pendant.

My mom took the necklace. “I think you should wear this.”

“Can you help me wear it?”

My mom placed it on my neck and clasped the hook behind it. Then I took the earrings. It is long earrings with small diamonds along the chain and blue aquamarine stones at the bottom. Later, we stared at my reflection in the mirror and smiled at each other.

“Now, you are ready for your wedding. Let’s go now. Though if you want to tease Ethan, we may prolong the time. He will be anxiously waiting for you.” Then my mom laughed out loud.

I giggled. Then I stood and hugged my mom. “Thank you so much for everything, mom. You gave up your life to raise me. You could marry and have your children, but you didn’t do it. But instead, you live alone only with me. How can I pay for what you have done for me?” Tears moistened my face already.

My mom also sobbed. “In love, there is no payment and counting. Having you in my life is the greatest blessing I received from God. Mia and I were like sisters. As I told you, I am an orphan and have no one. So, since Mia is like my real sister, you are my niece. But I’m so happy that you know me as your mom.”

We hugged each other again until my mom hurriedly wiped my face carefully with a tissue. Then she swiftly added powder and eyeshadow to my face as my tears smeared them.

“If we stayed here longer, we might not leave the room forever as we would cry, and then I should fix your makeup again.” My mom giggled. “Let’s go now!”

“Yes, mom. Let me contact Ethan first to tease him.” Then I opened the mind link. ‘Hey, groom, how are you?’

‘My bride, where are you? I have been waiting for you for ages.’

I giggled. ‘We are on the way. Please wait for me. I’ll be in front of your door soon.’

‘Always! Don’t take too long!’ Then he closed the mind link.

I grinned at my mother. “Let’s go! Ethan told me he had been waiting for me for ages.”
