“Get into the car right the fuck now Donna!” he yelled at her. She jumped a little as she was startled then nodded and turned to grab the door handle, Jeremy moved and seized her by the wrist.
"We're not quite finished Donna."
Donna grabbed his own hand and tried to pry it off her, "Jeremy stop this. Let go." She feared that Keith would get angry at her again.
"You're only her boss at work," Jeremy said to Keith, he still held on to Donna's wrist, "You don't have the right to order her about, it's already the end of business hours. She doesn't need to do as she's told by you."
Keith chuckled and took a step closer, "Oh, and you have the right to order her?"
Although he stood composed, it was beginning to be obvious that he was only barely keeping his anger at bay. Seeing Jeremy here was riling him up. It tickled the wolf in him and it wanted to know what vampire blood would taste like.
"She's merely just an employee to you Keith Preston," Jeremy said to him.
"And what is she to you Jeremy Xiu?" Keith asked, "For all I know, what you two had is now in the past. You're the ex now, and really, you should let it stay that way."
Jeremy smirked, "And what if I don't want to?"
"Why don't we ask her," Keith chuckled and tilted his head to the side as he fixed his eyes on Donna who was still trying to pry Jeremy's hands off her wrist, "Donna, what do you think?"
"What?" She asked as she had not really been paying attention to them.
Keith frowned slightly and stood straight. He brought his eyes back on Jeremy as he spoke, "Mr. Xiu is of the belief that he can still come back into your life. What do you say to that Donnie?"
"Can we just wrap this up and leave?" She said with a frown and yanked her hand free from Jeremy's grip, "And Mr. Xiu should know better already."
Keith smiled and Jeremy turned to face Donna who stared back at him with a frown.
"What were you expecting?" She asked him, "What we had ended years ago Jeremy, don't come looking for something that's no longer there."
"We have a daughter together Donna, that has to mean something to you."
"Alix means everything to me, you don't," she said to him harshly.
"That child is mine!" He yelled out without thinking, causing Donna to shudder a bit, "She has my blood in her veins! I should have every right and every access to her as much as you do!"
"You don't deserve her Jeremy!" She yelled back, "You don't deserve anything good! Cheryl is just the perfect fit for you, really. Go home to your wife Jeremy Xiu."
"Cheryl can not..." He was saying, but then paused and groaned in frustration. Cheryl could never give him a child, but more than just having a child, he wanted Donna back, "Just... reason with me Donna. Let me see her."
"I think that's quite enough Mr. Xiu," Keith said, he was already getting bored and angry watching them talk. The fact that Jeremy was Alix's father still upset him.
"No!" Jeremy snapped, "No! You shut the fuck up and stay out of our conversation!"
"Excuse me?"
Jeremy turned to him slowly, "You heard me clearly, or are you..."
Neither Jeremy nor Donna anticipated what happened next. Keith's fist left his pocket and struck Jeremy on the side of the head and Donna gasped in shock. Keith looked up at her and she didn't have to be told, she struggled with he door handle and managed to pull it open before she jumped into the back seat of the car, shutting the door behind her.
Dazed by the unexpected blow, Jeremy fell to the ground. He rolled around a bit with a groan before he looked up at Keith who had come so close to him. Pained and angry, Jeremy's fangs dropped and he made to charge at Keith, but when Keith bared his own fangs and his eyes turned into a golden yellow, Jeremy calmed a bit, but still very much angry.
“The woman doesn’t belong to you anymore Vampire," Keith said to him and he leaned down a little, "She is now mine and you will do well to stay clear off her.”
”Yours?” Jeremy chuckled and stood up from the ground. He took a step back, “I know you are yet to claim her, she doesn’t have your scent. But I have claimed her."
Keith stood straight with a sly smile on his face, "I don't need to claim her to make her mine, it's already obvious who she belongs to."
"She has my child!” Jeremy yeleld at him angrily but kept his distance. He gritted his teeth, "And as long as I'm the child's father, I will get her back. I will get them both back."
Keith frowned, "Stay away from my woman vampire, don't allow us repeat the past, I will drain you and end the Xiu bloodline. Go back to your wife."
Jeremy seethed as he watched Keith walk away from him and around the car to the other side. It pained him that he could not attack him here, for two reasons really. One was that this was his place, his company, legally he would be in the wrong. Second was that Donna was here, and there was no way he would attack Keith without revealing that he was a vampire, and Keith's identity as a werewolf would be revealed as well.
He had known Keith was not just a regular human being. He had known for a long time.
He took a step back as he licked the side of his mouth which was bleeding and he could not do anything as he watched the car drive off. He would need to talk to Donna, somewhere where it would be just the two of them, without having Keith Preston interrupt them. Donna would have to let him see his child. She would just have to.
