Fairy tales. I grew up reading fairy tales believing that soon enough I would also be able to meet my prince of my knight in shining armor. The kid in me believed that there is a happy ending in every story.
As I grew up, I realized that not all stories are fairy tale like, not all stories have their own happy ending. I learned that we all have different stories to write and we are the author of our own story. We shouldn’t let people write our story.
Happiness isn’t something that destiny would give us. Instead, it is something that we should choose for ourselves. If we know that something isn’t making us happy anymore, then it’s time to let go. Like I said, we should always choose our happiness.
Life might hurt us a lot of times but it doesn't mean that we should close our hearts to possibilities. Love is out there. We just have to wait for the right time.
I stopped typing when Gray kissed the top of my head.
“Are you finishing a story again?” He asked.
“Yes.” I told him.
“Well, may I disturb you for a while, babe?”
“Why? Are we going?” I asked him but he just pulled me away from our room towards the elevator.
“What’s up there?” I said since we are going on the roof deck.
“The copter.” He answered with a smile on his face.
“Wait, where are we going?” I curiously asked.
“Well…a surprise.”
“Are you even done with your work?”
The last time I checked he was supposed to go to the island to check the progress. I already checked the other islands and told him to check the other one as I was also busy preparing for our wedding.
“Are we gonna fly?”
He nodded as soon as I saw the copter. This time, he wasn’t flying the copter so we sat at the back. There were already a lot of stars above and I don’t really know where we are going. I kept on asking where but he shrugged and smiled at me.
Well, I decided to focus on the scene until I felt that the plane was slowly moving.
“Are we here?” I looked down and was awed upon seeing a house from the top.
It was a glass house. Not an ordinary glass house, but it was...omg!
I looked at him and was even shocked when he was now holding a ring.
“I know we are already preparing for our wedding, yet you deserve to have a romantic proposal.”
“Oh my gosh…” I blushed and covered my mouth in happiness. I teared up with joy as Gray supposed.
“You built my glass house?” I said, looking down again and it was everything I imagined when I was drawing it.
“Let’s build a family in that glass house. Shall we, Architect?”
“Yeah. Let’s do that, Engineer.”
