Deanara’s POV
“C’mon, he is your brother!” I told Gray.
“He kissed you.” He pouted.
“We never became a couple,” I said again while urging him to talk to his brother.
Ethan was ready to talk to him and was even waiting for Gray to talk to him. I’ve been asking Gray to reconcile with his brother because it’s already time, especially now that we have already cleared the things between us.
I was able to understand the deal with him and Vivian. It was Vivian that kept on coming back to Gray even though she was with Ethan. At first, Gray entertained her but he realized it’s no longer worth it. He then decided to truly move on from Vivian until he met me. Vivian, on the other hand, realized it was still Gray so she seduced him and did everything to ruin us and even sent me the picture and set up Gray just to ruin us. Although, she didn’t even and she even believed that there’s something with us and Ethan.
Vivian is really a bitch. She cheated with Ethan with another guy and she wanted Gray to own her son from another father. Good thing, Gray knew and was sure that nothing happened between them.
Ugh! I am so stupid but you cannot blame me. It was really hard for me to trust someone, especially with that evidence. I should have clarified but I was really hurt. But, it’s okay. I don’t think it will work before, especially that Vivian was in the picture and she will continue to ruin us. I am so happy Ethan finally left her. I hope Vivian is happy, too. She’s married and she shouldn’t be ruining her marriage.
Gray and I already clarified the things between us and I learned to listen to him now before overthinking because it ruined us.
I think if we continue our relationship before we would just ruin each other and it’s not the right time. Now is the right time and I will not waste anything. I will do the things that make me happy and Gray makes me happy so I will always choose him. Yeah. We already sacrificed a lot because of what happened.
Well, we are still destined for each other.
What is left now is for him and Ethan to reconcile. I know their family also wanted that for them.
“You still kissed him.”
“When will this end?” I rolled my eyes. “Don’t you want to be fine with your brother?”
Gray sighed and seriously looked at me.
“Fine!” He raised both of his hands as a defeat. “I will try but I am not promising anything.”
“Okay. Settled then.” I said after sending a message to Ethan.
“What do you mean by that?” He raised his brow as he sipped his coffee. “What are you doing on your laptop?”
“Ethan will go here tomorrow and I arranged a lunch date for the both of you.”
“What?” He wrinkled his brow but nodded when I glared at him.
“I love you.” He whispered. “Thank God, I love you.”
“Thank God!” I teased him and he just pouted.
“I still hate him.”
“I never said you should like him.” I told him.
“You want me to have lunch with him.”
“Yeah. So, you could talk or you could punch him.”
“Can I do that?” He smirked.
“Sure. As long as you’ll be fine after that.”
“Okay…” He lazily said. “But, what are you doing? You are not paying attention to my handsomeness.” He pouted and poked my cheeks while I was busy staring at the laptop. “Today is Saturday. We weren’t supposed to work.”
“I am reading. Don’t disturb me.” I said as I continued reading.
“What are you reading?” He was intrigued, still looking at me impatiently. “Is that more important than me?”
“I am reading the story you wrote.”
“WHAT!?” He went to my side and checked if I was telling the truth.
“Yes. I am already at the end…”
“Don’t read it yet.”
“What do you mean?” I raised my eyebrow as he pulled the laptop away from me. “You told me to read it, right?”
I regretted not opening that writing platform when I left him because he started writing. He started writing our story and if only I was able to read that then we didn’t waste years trying to forget each other because of that night.
“Not now…”
“What do you mean by that?” I repeated and got my phone instead.
I got curious about the ending of the story because of his act. I was already at the chapter where we confessed that we both loved each other and settled everything between us. Damn! What’s the ending?
I opened the writing app to satisfy my curiosity.
“You are weird.” I told him and pretended I wasn’t reading it on my phone.
“No. You are going to ruin my surprise if you read it now. You are supposed to read it when I tell you.”
“You told me!” I glared at him. “You told me to read it.”
“Not the ending.”
“Why is that?”
“I am not prepared.”
“Prepared?” I asked, confused and continued reading when the story loaded.
“Nevermind. Just don’t read this.”
It was already too late because I’ve read the ending. But, it wasn’t the ending that got my attention but the author’s note at the end of it.
He didn’t mention any name nor say anything.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You don’t want me to read it because you don’t have a ring yet, is that it?”
His eyes widened and realized I was reading it on my phone. He grabbed it and he knew it was too late.
“Fine.” He said frustrated.
“This should be a surprise, okay! But…” He kneeled down.
“I don’t have a ring but I have my whole body to offer you,” he chuckled. “Will you marry me, Ms. Samaniego?”
“Well, there’s no ring…”
He pulled me and kissed me.
“I have my lips to seal the promise.”
I chuckled and nodded.
“Let’s get married, Mr. Gray.”
