Iris's POV.
Rupert's voice was what woke me up the next morning, I don't know what came over him but he said we were having our claiming ceremony, later in the evening today.
The claiming ball is held to announce my Luna ceremony as well, and it falls perfectly, this is a blue full moon, and I am excited about it, I will be claimed under the blue full moon. After the claiming, I decided to let Rupert know that I would like to have my pack and his merged that is if he wanted it as well and I trusted him to treat my pack members fairly.
I have a few hours to also prepare, as the mate to the alpha of the Wildfang shadow pack. I do not have time, so I have to get off the bed and mindlink Drake.
"Beta Drake, can you help me look for someone who can deliver a lovely gown for me?"
"Oh that, Alpha Rupert had sent what you will wear at the ball."
"What?"
"Yes, it arrived a few minutes ago and I am sure, Cathy is on her way to bring it to you?"
"Cathy, what is she doing here? I thought she left with Campbell last night?" I asked.
"Yes, she came in this morning, because of your claiming, she said alpha Rupert wanted everyone's hand to be on deck, so you could have a perfect Luna and claiming ceremony."
"Oh my sweet Rupert, what can I possibly do to help him?"
"He said nothing, he only wants you to appear for the claiming while he fixes everything, and it is the best day of your life."
"Beta Drake, can I ask you for a favor?"
"What Is it alpha Iris?"
"Can you assist Rupert in the preparation?" He chuckled at my request. "Is there a problem?"
"Of course not, Beta Mason is a bit busy, so alpha Rupert, said he is borrowing me for today."
"Oh Rupert taking my beta without informing me, I am going to chop off his head after now."
"Alpha Iris." Cathy's voice behind my door interrupts me.
"Alpha Iris I got to go, Alpha Rupert needs my assistant."
"Alright, enjoy being the beta of alpha Rupert, and tell me whose beta you love best?"
"Of course, you know, I will pick you."
"Just kidding, just go on." I stood from the bed and pulled the door waiting for the impatient Cathy that have been pressing the doorbell like mad.
"Do you have any patients in that system of yours?" I asked pulling the door.
"No," she said coming in with the pack in one hand while she was holding a tea in the other hand. "You know that alpha of yours, he wanted me to deliver this dress to you." I pulled the pack and was ready to pull the dress out of the pack.
"Oh alpha Iris, here have this tea first, it will make you relax." Cathy stretched the tea with a snack to me, I hadn't had breakfast, and anxiety had made me forget almost everything.
"Thank you, Cathy." I smiled sweetly at her, as I inhaled the tea, I felt all my nerves relax and I sip on it.
"I know you will need this."
"Of course, you don't know how relaxed I am."
"It's better, You shouldn't be looking Haggard at your claiming, you should stand out and be more beautiful than any other she-wolves in the hall because you are not just a Luna but an alpha."
I smiled at her words as Beta Drake said, Rupert only wants me to relax, I tried to open a mind link with Rupert but it was shut after some time, he messaged me, telling me that, he would send Gamma Lauren to come to pick me, I have heard a lot about his Gamma Lauren but I have seem him just twice, he sound cold but I don't know if he is friendly and from what I heard he is Ariana brother and he is still unmated.
It was getting closer to the time, so I thought of getting ready before Gamma Lauren arrived came into my mind.
Having a cold bath was all I could think of, my temperature was heating and I was sweating, Sally thought it was anxiety that was causing my uneasiness, but I didn't think so, something was not right but I couldn't pin it.
Coming out of the bathroom and walking into my room, that lovely ball gown that Cathy had brought earlier but refused to let me see that the gown was now fitted on a mannequin.
The ball gown was neatly embroidered with fine silver diamonds.
I was mesmerized by the sight before me and I loved it, Rupert knows how to pick beautiful stuff.
I was so impressed with the gown that I decided to mind-link Rupert.
"Hey, alpha Iris." He called before I could even say anything.
"Stop calling me that?"
"Oh sorry, I bet you don't like that, why don't I call you Rupert's alpha mate."
"You this naughty wolf, what are you saying?" He tittered.
"Tell me, why are you calling?"
"Oh, I only wanted to tell you how much I love the gown."
"Oh, sweetheart, I am glad you love it." He said as I ran my hand on the smooth soft fabric on my hand. "Baby, are you still there?" Rupert asked.
"Yes, I am just admiring the lovely gown."
"Why not you dress up, and let me be the judge of how beautiful you look at the ball?"
"As your lordship pleases." As the mindlink disconnected, I heard Cathy's voice behind the door.
"Knock knock"
"Yes, Cathy."
"Alpha Rupert sent someone to beautify you." Cathy's voice came up.
"Oh, let them in, the door is open." Cathy opened the door and a man and two women walked in.
"Greetings Princess Iris." The man among them greeted me, my eyes bulged, he was a popular beautician in the human world and I heard that he was gay, but his fashioned sense is something I have always loved, back then Hilary had dreamed of having a makeover by him and now, Rupert had made it possible for me to have him beautify me.
"Good evening Noah." I greeted giving him that sweet smile.
"I am so glad that the royal family chose me to make your hair and your makeup." Noah said.
"I trust you will do a good makeover on my face." I replied with a sweet smile.
It didn't take much time before the makeover on my face started. My nails, hair, and make-up.
When they finished, the outcome was something I didn't see coming, I was looking super outstanding, I started at my reflection in the mirror, and my eyes lit up with appreciation and contentment.
"You look stunning, my lady." Noah complimented me.
"Really?" I asked even though I knew his words were true and I loved myself, I could see Cathy's reflection in the mirror, she too was smiling, and that smile on her face meant one thing that I am beautiful.
"You are so beautiful, I am sure, Rupert couldn't wait to have you as his wife." Cathy didn't want to say the words claimed or mate because Noah didn't know we were wolves, to him, we are just like every other kingdom in the world, and his thoughts must be crowded that we are having our wedding like humans do.
"This is the point, where I have to say, perfection always seems visible when one has a natural beauty, I will admit my work has never come out perfect like this, I hope there are paparazzi, so I can showcase my work."
"You have nothing to worry about, I will send my husband to give you some." He nodded in appreciation.
"Come on my lady Iris, let's have your dress fixed now." Cathy is trying hard not to mention the words alpha. Rupert must have given her strict warning of her use of words.
I have one last glance at my reflection before I place my hand on Cathy as she leads me to the other room to fit my wears, this is going to be a new beginning of my life. Everything is going to change about me, I only wish that it's going to end perfectly.
