Iris's POV
There are some things that don’t change, like the love Rupert had for me and the hatred Celina had for me, those two are constant, no matter how hard I tried we always ended up having a bitter conversation, and Rupert on the other hand is making the days that we spent together a memorable days. Things were going well between me and Rupert and the pack members, also love him. The way he treated them and also changed a few things that weren't right, beta Drake and beta Mason were a great help to him. Mason has adjusted to his new creature and he is no longer feeling bad about it, I bet now, he is even happy that he is now a hybrid beta.
Mason is happy also and he is putting things in place for his beloved pups, we don't know our pup yet, we are only hoping that it will end up either a male or a female, Ariana wanted a male because she said my pup will need a big brother if my pup turned out to be a female and Cathy, she doesn't have a choice, she loves both sexes and will be happy with either of them, Campbell seemed to go with Cathy's decision, their love was young yet very strong.
With each passing day, I felt I was becoming more demanding.
Sometimes, I just tell Rupert to shift into his wolf, that we want to watch him run. I felt sorry for him that I was becoming over-demanding, stressing him with my needs and also the pack's needs but he didn't complain.
Whenever I ask him if I am over-demanding, he will always look me in the eyes and say no, I am not complaining.
There is never a day that will go by without us kissing and making out, sometimes every morning, I watch him leave the bed, so tired, those times, I feel bad that I am stressing him, Ariana and Cathy will always say that they also crave for their mate but I don't think so, I don't see Campbell or Mason look so tired whenever they meet with Rupert to discuss the pack affair.
Months passed, and pregnancy had never been easy for me, as my tummy increased, I noticed that sometimes I got so uncomfortable sleeping, and Rupert seemed to be the victim of my frustrations, I get easily angry and my outbursts were always on Rupert, Ariana's almost due, sometimes she laughed at my actions while Cathy will just say, "we are not Rupert"
Of all those I have poured my frustrations more on, I think Lauren was the one who suffered most, he practically goes everywhere with me, and I yelled at him like he was a pup who never gets anything right. What a bad mood swings! Sometimes I yelled at him for no reason, was it just sometimes, no I do it all the time, don't blame me, I have no control over it.
"I am sorry Gamma Lauren, can you tell Alpha Rupert to assign someone else to always be with me? Someone I don't know." He looks at me. "I don't want to keep yelling at you and I am feeling bad about it." I said feeling bad over my mood swings.
Now he understands why I want him changed, he smiled and looked at me. "I don't want to, staying with you makes me happy, and you are unknowingly preparing me before meeting my pup, and how my future mate will react when she is carrying my pup." Gamma Lauren said, his face was cheerful.
"Are you sure, you are not going to hate me after this?"
"That is impossible Luna Iris."
"You see, I told you brother is not like that." Ariana who was coming with her big bump said. I smiled at her, as she rifle her brother's hair, we could no longer hug because our tummy was getting bigger.
I was so lucky to have these lovely ones around me, I could come off it's just one enemy I have, there is Luna Oscar, Cathy, Ariana, Campbell, Mason, and even Lauren, who that naughty Rupert had turned into my personal guard.
And it was finally the birth of Celina's pup, it's a male, that was what Celina always wanted, I almost had a heart attack when Ariana broke the news to me that Celina's pup was a male, although I wasn't scared because he was a male, I was scared that Celina might teach him so many bad stuff and make him turned out to be a bad wolf.
The news of her birth had left me sad, that it didn't go unnoticed to Ariana. "Are you sad because she gave birth to a male?" Ariana asked.
"No" I shook my head.
"Are you scared that the pup might fight over the alpha position with your pup?"
I sighed. "Not really... I just felt bad that the mother of the pup doesn't love me and I am about to have my pup as well, what if he too doesn't like my pup, because of what Celina might fill his head with? And I don't want Rupert to see the bitterness between them?"
"Come on, stop worrying over unnecessary stuff, I know Rupert knows what is best, and under his watch, Celina's pup can't molest his. And don't think that Rupert doesn't know that Celina hated you."
From her words, I could feel that Rupert already knew, and from my conversation with him, he had asked me, if I was okay living with his mother and Celina under the same roof. There was a big chance that he had found out already that I might be scared of Celina and her pup. Still, I don't want him to send them away, I feel guilty more.
"I don't think so..." From my voice Ariana could feel that I was not sure.
"Everything is going to be alright?" She said pulling me into a hug.
It didn't take long before Ariana also gave birth, we had met that morning but she said she was feeling tired and needed to go home and Rupert had already brought me back to his castle where our love started, I was lying on the bed, when Rupert returned home. "Rupert, where have you been?" He pulled me into a hug.
"Ariana already has her pup and I have to stay beside Mason a bit longer."
"Really what is the sex?" I said with excitement, Rupert looked at me.
"It's a male." Joy running through my system, Rupert Look at me, that excitement was what I didn't show when Celina gave birth.
"I can't wait to meet our pup as well," I said running my hand on my tummy, Rupert lay on the bed and kissed my bump.
"You should come out fast, Dad can't wait to meet his lovely son." My face darkened as he mentioned son.
"Son," I asked in surprise and sadness. As an alpha, I know that he will always long for a son, one who will carry on his legacy.
"Don't think I want a son because of the alpha position, I don't want a female because I don't want to make her suffer, I don't want her to face Rejection from her fated mate and I don't want my daughter to go through those alliance just for power." I look at him, if he was not fated to me, the same fate would have met me, a political marriage Alliance.
"What if it's a female?"
"I will do my best to protect her and spoil her as a father will do to his princess but I am not picking, whatever the goddess gave to me, I will accept."
"Why didn't we do a scan, that way..."
"Patient wife, patient, we will meet our pup soon. And no matter the way it turns out I will not fail you." He said hugging me.
"Of course, and my kids will be the happiest pups in the entire pack." He smiled placing soft kisses on my forehead, today, that was all we did, stay in each other's hand, even though I could smell my arousal, I was contented with just being in his hand. His embrace was all I wanted all my life. Loving the hybrid alpha with the scary face is one thing I didn't think of when I first heard about him.
