Iris's POV
Now the news of the alpha pup has spread in the Pack and my beloved Rupert wasn't joking when he said that he is having a party to announce his heir and with the words of former alpha Oscar, it only means that he also approved of Todd as the next Alpha in line.
After the alpha presented pup Todd to the pack members, the rest was fun and lively, with music and a lot of drinks and food for those pack members, and the omega was not left out, Rupert did a good job of putting this in place within a short period.
When I thought the party was over that was when the realization dawned on me that this was just the beginning, Rupert asked that I dress up and also pup Todd change into something else.
This time, the day was already getting darker and the moon was almost in the sky giving us light, the second part was held in the garden of our castle, it just had a few tables and chairs and that meant this was just for the family.
Beta Mason and female beta Ariana were the first to arrive with pup Adrian, Female beta Ariana placed pup Adrian in my arms as she rushed to the baby crib, she couldn't help but admire Todd in the crib, while I played with pup Adrian, the pup and I have a strong bond since birth and whenever Ariana visited he had always stay with me but this day, I guess he doesn't want to stay with, he let out a sharp cried. "What is it?" I asked all confused.
"It's obvious, Adrian doesn't find you attractive anymore." Mason's teasing voice came up, I frowned as Beta Mason pulled the pup in his hand and moved closer to Todd, he kept quiet, and held on to Todd's. "I told you back then, he only wants to stick around you because you have his brother in you." Beta Mason added, I tittered as I looked at little Adrian that is not even up to five months. "Your friendship had been terminated." Ariana tease me.
"Don't even start teasing me, I could still shove Todd into my tummy and make Adrian love me back." Rupert tittered at my words.
"My silly wife." I smirked, as I pulled Adrian from Mason's hand, pressing kisses on his face, but since we were not far from Todd, he was comfortable. Mason looks at Rupert. "How does it feel to be a father and an Alpha?"
"Overwhelming." Rupert didn't blink before he answered and Mason who is also father burst into laughter.
"I didn't mean it that way, it's only a few weeks, I guess, we are still getting used to all the drama." He added almost immediately, I know Rupert, he doesn't want me to feel he is complaining, even though he didn't say, I know it's not easy, those few nights the baby cried, Rupert would ask me to sleep while he cares for him. It's been one hell of a week of sleepless nights.
"Don't worry, I am sure in the next few weeks, he will change his mood, and probably start sleeping at night more than in the day, that was how pup Adrian was." Rupert was about to respond when Cathy and Campbell came in with their pup, Cameron.
"Hey little brother, over here." Sometimes, Campbell finds Rupert as a whole different creature with the way he acts but nothing changes about him, he is still that Rupert that they all know, he is friendly and open-minded, the only difference is, that Rupert is now a father to a pup and an Alpha, that wants to treat everyone right and he doesn't want to show that he is too hard on them, he just wants to be that approachable Alpha. "Come on, stop acting like a stranger, or don't you want to meet my pup?" Rupert jokily said, and Campbell tittered, Cathy who was excited to meet Todd, didn't waste time rushing towards us.
"Careful, you don't want to fall." She frowns looking at Campbell, although Campbell is the one carrying pup Cameron, he still cares about Cathy.
"Give the young man a break, he only doesn't want his mate to get hurt." That was former Luna Oscar's voice, we turned and looked at her.
"Welcome Mother." The three men said as we made our way to her leaving the kids in the hands of the men.
"Oh these kids, you are turning my males into a baby nurse," another round of laughter. Mother couldn't wait to touch all her grandkids, and she ran her hands through the hair of these pups, when she got to Todd, she stared more like this was the first time, he saw the pup, and a little frown formed on her head.
"Is everything alright Mother?" Campbell asked staring at Mother.
"Oh, it's nothing, just that the pup looks like this naughty wolf here." She said, I am aware that Todd had similar features to Rupert but I don't think that is the reason for her brow furrow. I wanted to say something when Celina walked in with former alpha Oscar, although I could feel her aura today, she is not emitting too much bad blood.
"Alpha Rupert congrats," Celina said ignoring the rest of us, Rupert straightened out his hand to take Ivan into his hand.
"Say hello to dada." Rupert said as he pressed a soft kiss on Ivan's forehead and then he moved to Todd's crib, Ariana had already laid Todd in it, and Rupert had made it a bit bigger so that it could contain four kids, I was wondering why he did it but now, I understand, when Mason place Adrian in the cradle and Campbell also place Cameron, the C family. "Baby, you should meet your brothers?" Rupert places him in the crib.
"Alpha Rupert, are we going to stare at the kids all night, I am starving." Beta Mason said, causing everyone to laugh.
"You this naughty boy, would you rather I have your head in a plate?" Rupert said to him.
"Baby, you should know your dad is a naughty man, I know you don't understand now, but you should remember my words when you are all grown."
Everyone titters at his words, it didn't take long before the event took off after the arrival of the guests which included Beta Drake and Susan.
Beta Drake and Susan had appeared together, his chosen mate, Beta Drake didn't want to wait for the goddess. And if Drake's action was overwhelming what would we call Lauren, the young man appearing at the gathering with a human mate?
"I thought you would never show up." Rupert teases him.
"Sorry, I have some stuff to fix."
"Some stuff to fix or a girl to pick." Campbell said. Rupert moved closer to Lauren and whispered in his ear.
"Did you tell the human, that she is going to meet wolves and vampires here?" I tittered at my naughty husband's words. The young lady who is feeling like a stranger just stood there, before Lauren could even react. Lauren runs his hand on her shoulder, probably trying to comfort her.
"I am Iris, and this is Ariana, the younger sister to your love." I introduced myself to her, she wanted to take my hands in hers, Cathy rushed from behind us.
"When are we having a wedding?"
