Iris's POV
It didn't take long five years had already passed since we had our pup, I didn't have another pup and so did Cathy, Ariana, and Celina, it was like, the goddess had destined the four of us to have just one pup.
And to bring up these pups as siblings from one parent not from different parents.
As I stood on the rooftop I watched the four pups playing around gave me joy, These five years were a blessing for me and Rupert, we were surrounded by people who love us, from Mason to Campbell, down to Lauren and even my beta Drake that was the only one not related to Rupert by blood. And as for Celina, I couldn’t call her a friend or enemy even though I can't tell if Celina had grown to love me or just accepting the fact that we are stuck together but she is not as hostile as before, now she is a bit friendly, I don't expect her to forgive me and open her hands wild for me, after all, my existence was what led to his pup's father death.
I, Ariana, Cathy, and Celina were healthy and that was enough to make our mate happy, we realized that the former alpha and Luna were getting closer and so attached to themselves, after those periods when the former Luna helped us in nursing our pups, alpha Oscar decided to take his wife on vacation they plan on touring the world and they have already toured ten countries, both the human and wolves world and still have more to visit.
I was getting better as the Luna of the pack, and ruling beside Rupert was the best decision I have ever made, back then I thought I could never give my pack to another alpha and that, I would never change my pack name but now that I did, I saw the blessings that came with it and especially now that I am an hybrid Luna, Rupert has turned me into a vampire a year after the arrival of our pup, an half vampire and a wolf.
"Luna Iris, are you going to watch those lovely pups all morning?" Ariana's voice came behind me, I turned smiling at her, she too is now a half-vampire and a wolf. Mason had turned her into one, to others it's strange to have these two creature inside one body but to I and Ariana, it's just like having wine and water at the same time
"I just couldn't help admiring then, it was just like yesterday that we had them." I said.
"Here, look over there, baby Ivan, he looks like a giant at five but very soft." Ariana points at Celina's baby, he is the eldest of them, and although he is big, he is looking like a weak child.
"And Adrian is acting like a big brother to all of them," Cathy added as she joined us at the rooftop, although Ivan is older than Adrian, that pup seem too mature to be called a kid. He is overly protective of Todd, knowing he is the last of them all.
"Did you know that, Lauren is inviting everyone for dinner?" Ariana said.
"Really? Is that human girl coming?" I asked
Alice had always visited and I have grown fond of her as well, not just me but Ariana and Cathy, she still hasn't found out that we are wolves, I bet we should gain her friendship and trust first before we could push her fully into our world.
And Lauren, he still hasn't claimed her or should I say proposed to her? Rupert thinks Lauren is scared that his mate might be somewhere and that he might hurt her, if he finally meets his mate, knowing that it takes a strong detest from one mate for him to reject his mate.
It didn't take long before we dropped those pups with that omega and prepared for the dinner, they say a family that eats together stays together.
We were supposed to have dinner at Lauren's quarter, I was surprised when Rupert said, Lauren cancelled and that he is having dinner at home. I frown I thought this was a good opportunity to meet Alice once more.
"Hey Luna, we are having dinner at your place, please don't tell the alpha, is a surprise." That was Lauren, my face brightened at the thought of having all those crazy fellows under one roof.
Time for dinner arrived, and almost everyone was in the dining, we were chitchatting when I heard footsteps, I knew it was Rupert he was back from his meeting, an alpha never rests, but Rupert always makes time for us, his family. I know my Alpha will be curious hearing the sound of laughter and voices that are not just from me and Todd, it was just me, Todd, and Rupert that normally have dinner.
Rupert walked into the dining room, only to see the entire family at the table, he was surprised to see mother and father, they only arrived a few minutes ago, we weren't expecting them but they are here now. I could see the smile on Rupert's face, seeing everyone sitting, we weren't arguing or fighting, we were chitchatting.
This was one thing I and Rupert me we seen coming, all our lives we had always had enemies from friends or family, Rupert greeted everyone warmly and then there came Alice, she rushed in, I thought she wasn’t coming because Lauren was there already.
"Iris." Someone suddenly screamed, It's Alice, my face brightened, as I too stood from the chair, and she wrapped her hand around my neck. "I missed you."
"I missed you too." I said but Alice closed her mouth.
"I am sorry, I was told you are the queen, so I should call you queen right?" I look at Lauren who is acting like he did nothing. "Let's eat," I said as I took my seat, Rupert welcomed everyone at the table as he took a seat, he was sitting at the end of the table with his family at his left and right side of the table while I was sitting at the other end opposite him.
I could see the warm smile on our faces, he too was smiling, looking at our faces, the first time, I arrived at the castle, he was lonely. With no family, and no friends, he is like a caveman, an isolated man, one living very far from other wolves, he is a lone wolf. No one thought he could get his face, break the curse, never expect someone to fall in love with him, On the other hand, I was an orphan without any family, and no friends we were both sad and lost, we both had given up on life until we meet each other
I met him while he met me. We both change each other life, our bond is our happiness. We take away each other sorrows, and we make each other life worth living, those days we wished for death instead of life but now, if someone would put a gun in our heads and asked us to choose between death and life, I know my Rupert will choose life and me beside him and that is what I will also choose.
"My Rupert, my lovely alpha mate."
I said in my heart, but Rupert suddenly moved his gaze and looked at me, his eyes met mine and then he patted his lips.
"Read my mind, I love you, now and forever."
For the first time, I heard his thoughts, and my smile lit up my face at his words, he didn't mindlink me, that was his thoughts, and I too did the same.
"I will love you unconditionally." These two heart is never going to get tired of each other. This is just the beginning of our love story.
