Iris's POV.
My eyes were unfathomable, I glared at him in anger.
"Alpha Iris, aren't you happy to see your new mate?"
"Russell, is this some kind of joke?" I glared at him.
"Stop glaring at your mate."
"You are not my mate." I yelled at him, and one of the council come closer.
"You shouldn't be fast to reject me, you do not have a choice."
"And who the fuck..."
"Alpha Iris mind your language." One of the elders said I pinned my lips together.
"I am sorry but at this point, I don't want to have anything to do..."
"Not so fast, alpha Iris, two years ago, my father, alpha Oscar of Wildfang shadow pack had an alliance with the alpha of goldfang pack which happens to be the late Alpha Bill, and your father. He promised to help him with a treasury that is worth thousand of gold and diamonds and also help him on winning wars, and give him more hectares of land just to have a political marriage between his son and Alpha Bill's daughter." I clenched my fist. "If you think that I am lying you all should check the treasury of your pack and every land attached to your territory," I instructed my beta to check for what he just said, my beta excuses himself. I can't believe the uneasiness I am feeling while we wait for what this stupid Russell is blabbering about.
"Can you calm down my mate?" I glared at him throwing his hand off me. "Stop it, I know you are aware that my father was here the night before your father meet with his untimely dead."
My head raced to the night that Helga, Hilary, and I had set eyes on Alpha Oscar and how she had mentioned that the alpha had two sons. "dear lord, let it not be that Russell, I don't want him." I said mentally, my eyes move to beta Drake that was coming with some files in his hand, it takes strong courage not to rush to him. "Tell me beta Drake, is it true?"
"I am afraid, he is right, this is all the documents your father and his father sign, the night before he was murder, he was supposed to introduce him to you but that unfaithful incident happened and Alpha Oscar didn't come for you, he sends his son..."
"Damn, what did the documents say? Did it say that, Russell is going to be my chosen mate."
"It didn't specify, he said, his crown prince and you know a pack always has one crown prince and that happened to be Russell, at that time.
"Drake stop it." I growl at my beta, he stared at me confused. "I am afraid, I didn't remember giving consent to this." My voice is filled with frustration and that anger I want to unleash on someone which is no other person than this idiot standing in front of me, I know this is one of his deceptive acts, he is aware that I am in love with Rupert, why will he appears here, claiming ownership of me.
"Alpha Iris, you should know, a political marriage alliance doesn't require the consent of the party involved, only if your parents change their mind."
"Fine, maybe they did change their mind." I snarled.
"Come on Alpha Iris, your father would had return all the gifts that he received from Alpha Oscar if he was no longer interested in them."
"Minister, didn't you hear yourself talk the whole episode happened so fast that my father wouldn't be able to cancel it."
"I don't think so, I don't see any reason he will want to cancel and as for your consent, it's not needed, you have no say in your engagement or marriage alliance, and remember every last agreements an alpha must be followed to the end." I clenched my fist as my eyes turned red and my gum hurt as a result of my fangs trying to force itself out.
"Thank you council, I was afraid that you all will take sides with your alpha and cheat me of my right to be mated to Iris."
"Alpha Iris." I let out an alpha command, I could see him fidget a bit, and then bounce back to that young male that is not scared of anything, I know it's because he has alpha blood in his vein.
"Why are you so mad at me? Don't you want me to be your mate?" He grinned, I wanted to speak but he stop me. "Unfortunately, you don't have a right, to decide, my father had given a fortune for this arrangement and there is no way you will not agree to it or you will pay in double."
"Damn, this idiot." I curse inwardly as I could see the packed council whispering among themselves, I know that I can't give him what he wants and I also know that I can't reject him, I didn't think of something to get this punk off my Coronation.
"Alpha Iris, what do we do?" Beta Drake asked.
"We could negotiate it right?" I asked beta Drake as I run my hand on my neck, this is embarrassing.
"If you think you are going to negotiate it then you have something coming, I know the former alpha had used up the treasury fund and you are left with little or nothing and your pack is only trying to bounce back because your lands are no longer fertile after that punk of an alpha ruined the pack resources. So you have to either let me claim you or go pay me."
"Fine, you can be my... "The light of the hall went off and felt a strong arm grab me, I couldn't smell the scent of the fellow. "Let me go," I growl in the dark, I could hear the sound of people trying to look for their way.
"Alpha Iris, are you alright?" That was my beta voice. "Where are you?" I wanted to scream but a strong hand cover my nose and mouth and the next thing I felt I was losing consciousness as if that is not enough the fellow throw me on his shoulder and jump off the hall, I could feel he wasn't walking or trying to get a car to take us off the pack, he was jumping on those high walls, the sound of his paws meeting where ever he jumps on that was all I could hear before I finally blank out.
The next morning, my eyes open slowly, I didn't realize it was morning until the sun visit my face, I run my hand on my head trying to remember the last incident and I recalled I was kidnapped.
