Russell's POV.
Rupert grabs Iris's hands and presses them to his lips.
"We finally won" Rupert whispered to her and she smiled, I couldn't bear it, so I hit the table.
"Don't you fucking think you could fool me, you can't possibly fool me, you and I know that Celina is your mate, how could you be mate to two, when she still feels your unfaithfulness."
"Oh Russell, stop acting, I have rejected Celina already and that thing called mate bond had long been broken, and that unfaithfulness mark that she show everyone that made Father want to force her on me, they are all fake, did you know I was looking at my wrist mark trying to compare hers to mine, the two doesn't fucking match and I have gamma Lauren investigate the issues."
"Oh please, yet another lie, Lauren are you still going to take sides with Rupert because he is an Alpha?" I growl at Rupert.
"Oh brother, you are been an asshole and you are raising your voice at the alpha." Rupert let out an alpha command, I know that I am been disrespectful to the alpha and it will attract a punishment but I don't care, I can't let Rupert Lord it over me, he can't take everything from me, I can't always be under him, how stupid have I become, I always throw what the goddess had blessed me with.
"As I was saying before this insolent wolf interrupt me, let's hear gamma Lauren's finding." Rupert gave Lauren the audience to speak, he take to his feet explaining and presenting information that Celina is no longer his fated mate and that Celina was just fooling around trying to swindle everyone.
"Yes, the alpha is right, Celina was only fooling all of us, she inflicted those mate unfaithfulness marks on her wrist causing everyone to believe that she is actually affected by alpha Rupert's actions."
"It doesn't matter, I am the one that Father promise marriage between Iris and me, I am not going to allow it."
"Silent Russell," Father growled, he was glaring at me, his stare was like a burning fury. "I have been so calm trying to solve this issue between your brother calmly but no, you are hell-bent on getting on my nerves, when have I ever as an alpha held an explanation to anyone."
Fear grips me as I cowered back in fright, my father had always been like that, but I have never felt he could still have that strong command after he had given the alpha position to my younger brother.
"Alpha Oscar, you should not be too hard on our son." The Luna said I glared at her. "Our son was just shocked with the news..."
"Oh please stop acting like you care." I snarled at the Luna.
"Russell, you are crossing the line and you know, I will not watch you insult my mother." Campbell wasn't able to hold it, he yelled at me.
"Campbell, don't talk to your elder brother like that." Luna try to correct Campbell but I was too hot-hearted to let the woman with the good heart scold his pup, the one woman that could be fair to his pups, and the pup of another woman
"Haven't I warned you to stop meddling in my business, you are not my mother, Rupert and Campbell are your only pups so stop..."
"What did you just say?" Rupert growled.
"Didn't you hear me, this woman is not my mother, if you are not stupid, you would see the handwriting on the wall that I am not your..."
"Russell." Old alpha Oscar stands from his chair and slapped his hand across my face. "Who is there? Guards take him away and I don't want to see him for the next two weeks and you know what that means, lock him up."
The guards cease me. "Father, no, don't let them take me away, I don't want to." I snarled trying to free myself from the grip of the guards, but I couldn't, I watched as my father asked Iris if she accepted my brother, she blushed at the same time, staring in my brother's eyes in admiration.
"If the alpha had chosen me when I was nothing and the goddess has blessed me with him, who am I to say no to whom the goddess has given me." She said all blushing and my stupid brother raised her face and pecked her head.
Damn! This idiot. Those were the words I wanted to yell to their face, seeing that smile of satisfaction and fulfillment on my brother and chosen mate's face, how could Rupert always have everything that I dreamt of, is like I am cursed, the guards pulled me out and throw me into the cell.
"Let me out, you idiot." I yelled hitting the bars. "Oh Rupert, I cursed you, I cursed the day that you ever came into this world" I called out evil on him.
"Russell stop crying we still have hope." My wolf speaks in my head.
"Oh please, we lost already and everyone will soon find out that I was part of the curse."
"No one will find out, we could use Celina, you know, you could make her tell everyone that she is pregnant for Rupert before the Luna ceremony."
"What are you saying?" I snarled at my wolf.
"Stop it, did you know why your father didn't give you the alpha position, is because you are not as strong as your brother, and I know if it was your brother, Rupert, he will not give up easily, he will fight till the end." My wolf scoffed.
"Stop scolding me and stop acting like you are more intelligent, his wolf is also better than you." I could feel my wolf growling in my head, I didn't name him because he has always been an asshole just like me.
"Stop already and let's think of a way to solve our problem, if we are to keep fighting and calling ourselves names, we are not going to achieve anything."
"Fine, I am sorry, so what are we going to do?"
"It's time for Celina to announce her pregnancy." I tittered at the mention of the words.
