Iris's POV.
After all the ranting of Russell and him eventually being thrown out, alpha Oscar apologize to me.
"I am sorry alpha Iris and sorry once more for the lost of your parents and my son's behavior."
"It's fine, Alpha Oscar, I hold no grudge against you or your pack, especially now that my mate is the alpha of this pack."
"Whoa, that means she is accepting our son." I smiled as they all howl in excitement.
"Of cause, I have loved Rupert since the very day, I set eyes on him and inhale his smell, the first time I saw him, I was nothing but a slave in my own father's pack, and even if his face was scary, I still wanted him and all those time he cares for me, living under the same roof with him make me long for him. He had stolen my heart."
"My love for him was not a joke, he was the only man that I will love and care for even if his face is still damaged I will still pick him and even if this marriage alliance didn't come into the picture I would have still chose him, and even if the goddess didn't fate him to me, he is still my first and last choice."
"Oh, so we should be expecting a Luna ceremony in a fortnight right?" Alpha Oscar said.
"Sure, I and Alpha Rupert will get back to you all."
"Of cause, we will wait, just take your time alpha, Iris." Old alpha Oscar said.
"If there is nothing more to discuss, I think I should go on now?"
"Sure alpha Iris, the meeting is dismissed." Old alpha Oscar, stood up taking Luna's hand, I could see the dejection look on the Luna's face and also that of Campbell's.
I and Rupert walked side by side but not in a touching space, Rupert is a bit far from me, and the sun is already a bit scorching.
"Take my hand." Rupert stretched out his hand to me, I look at his hand and then at his smiling face. "come on, let's walk hand in hand and see the world together."
"And who said I want to take your hand and walked the world with you?" Asking that, I place my hand in his, Rupert smiled at my actions, my words are saying one thing and my actions are saying another.
"I don't need a seer to tell me, that what I want is what you want." He commented raising my hands to his lips, and pressing his lips on them, I blushed at his actions. "Did anyone tell you that, when you are shy you are adorable?" I raised my eyes to look at him, and his eyes met mine and for unknown reason, I think Rupert is right I am shy.
"I am not shy" he tittered at my words.
"Stop laughing, it's not funny." I pouty.
"Come on my Iris, you shouldn't be shy around me. We have come a long way that we are no longer new to each other." He intertwined my hand with his.
"Yes, but I have never walked with you when you became the alpha." Suddenly he came to a halt, I didn't know when he come in front of me and my face hit his chest when it comes to height, I am nothing compared to Rupert's height
"What? Did I say something wrong?" He turned his gaze side by side and then he cupped my face with one of his palms.
"Why do I feel you are intimidated by my title when you are also an alpha? I should be the one intimidated by your title, father used to say, a female alpha is a Tigress."
"What did you just call me?" I pulled my hand roughly from him, and he smiled and then used the opportunity to cup my face and kiss me right in the light, I felt butterflies dancing in my tummy and Sally couldn’t stop giggling, this was always what she wanted and nothing, to have Rupert as her mate and no one else. I pinched his side when I noticed that Rupert wasn't going to let me go and at this point, I could feel that Sally is ready to take over my head and we might end up doing something terrible and probably end up giving everyone in this Pack, a free porn to watch.
"Ouch," Rupert screamed and pull from me. "what is that for?"
"For being an asshole."
"What?"
"Yes, it's getting late, I want to go home." Rupert looks at the sky and then at me. "I want to go home, don't think, I have forgiven you."
"I don't need to think, all I need was invade your thoughts and find out what your heart is saying." I frown remembering he could read my thoughts.
"Get off me." I pushed him, and he smiled.
"When are we going to have our claiming, I want to show the world that you are mine.”
"Leave me alone, I don't want to be claimed by you."
"Why, you told me, you love me and you are excited about our mate bond?"
"Never, there was never a time, where I love you, so shoo." Rupert's face go sour, I smiled inwardly, I raised my head and saw Campbell.
"Hey, delta Campbell, come over here." Campbell moves slowly to me. "Come on faster." I gave out an alpha command and he ended up moving fast, I smiled.
"Take me home." He looks at me and then his brother, probably waiting for him to counter my command. "Don't stare at him, he doesn't have anything to say." Rupert finally nodded, and Campbell takes my hand.
"Take your hands off her." Rupert yelled, I wanted to laugh at his words but then I was acting cold towards him, I don't want him to see that I have forgiven him. The drive to the pack was a bit slow.
"Are you alright Campbell?" He turned his gaze to me.
"I am fine just a bit surprised that Russell is not my brother."
"He is your brother." Campbell looks at me, I move my hands to touch his shoulder. "He might not be your mother's pup, but he is still your brother, a pup from your father is also your brother."
"Hm, you are been nice."
"Of cause, I am not."
Yeah, Mom loves him and she had always cared about him even if he is an asshole sometimes" I tittered at Campbell's words. "My only fear is that Rupert might not overlook him if he misbehaves especially now that it's obvious he is not from mom."
"I don't think Rupert is partial."
"I didn't say so, living with Russell is annoying that you can't avoid hurting him, everyone seems to avoid him because hurting him is like hurting mother." I watch Campbell sigh, the young man is thinking about the future. He doesn't want his family to fall apart and I too am scared that I might be the reason for trouble if Russell doesn't stop.
"Stop thinking about that, tell me, I heard that you got your wolf, Ariana told me." He smiled
"Come on, are you shy?"
"Of cause not but Rupert and Mason haven't stopped teasing me, that I might meet my mate soon."
"Aren't you excited to meet her?"
"What if I don't like her?" He parks the car, we are already at my pack. I parted my lips to say something but I notice Campbell, his gaze was everywhere and his eyes are different, I saw him lick his lips forgetting what we are discussing, and his like he was looking for something and I think it was the mate thing.
"Mate."
