Blair Monore
After the wedding planners visit Blair left for her doctor's appointment. Yes zeke still hasn't heard about the pregnancy. As strange as it is Blair has been hesitant on telling Zeke the good news because she knew he would only make it public and the fear of having a miscarriage just after he confirms the news to the press or the pregnancy test kit being wrong. Blair wants to be sure the baby was healthy and well. The drive to the hospital took at least half an hour, she was now a big celebrity. Her face on magazines, newspapers , advertise and even billboard. She couldn't afford going to a hospital and getting photographed. Now that would be the worst way Zeke could find out about his baby.
Blair decides to go out of the city to a small clinic she had gone to once. It was low profile and mostly only elderly people went there at least that way she could do her business in peace. She knew she could save herself the stress by telling Zeke the truth and someone like him would have like a personal doctor who would help care for her.
Blair wants to do this herself, also giving herself chance and space to absorb her new reality.Her morning sickness had started and she had managed to eat little breakfast but now regretted her decision, the food in her stomach refused to settle . Blair was smart enough not to go alone, Zeke had assigned bodyguards for her movement so she had made sure to take a least one female bodyguard. On arriving to the hospital the female bodyguard led her inside..
They got into an elevator and went up a few floors, then stopped at an office. The bodyguard nodded, waited for a voice to call back, then opened the door, and gestured for her to go inside. She did so, a little reluctantly, taking in a deep breath to calm my nerves.
“Hello there,” a woman called.
The OBGYN was dressed in a blouse and skirt, with a white lab coat over it and a stethoscope hanging around her neck. She smiled warmly at her as she walked inside, and it put her at ease immediately. She looked like she could be around her mother's age before she died. Lately Blair had been thinking of her parents ever since the decision of her drastic marriage dawned on her and theirs the baby too to think about..
“Hello,” I murmured back.
“Please, sit down,” she said, waving at the chair opposite her desk. Blair took a sit. “Now, I understand you’re here for a full pregnancy checkup. I promise it’s not going to take too long, and I can send you back home in a couple of hours. We will be getting all the results back today, but I can have them sent over, okay?”
"Whichever one you prefer"The doctor says with a friendly smile on her face..
"I would prefer getting the results today"She says suddenly feeling relaxed..
Few minutes later as they went through the whole procedure blair realized, as she carried it out, that there wasn’t much to be afraid of. There were a few moments of embarrassment but they weren’t that bad. She felt a bit squeamish as they took a blood sample, but it was mostly painless. She had made sure to look away for a moment till it was done.
She was asked to pee in a cup! That made her blush so hard she had surprised herself.
In Less than two hours later, she was finished. She had to wait patiently for the test results..
Few more hours later the doctor walked into the room with a bright smile on her face and Blair just knew the answer to her unanswered question had finally been answered.
She walked up to Blair and she shook hands with her. Congratulations Ms. Monore you're 3 threes pregnant"She says as she hands over the test results...
"What?"Blair gasps out as she stared at the result that had been handed to her. Even when she had took the pregnancy test she could still not believe it, even seeing the results yet again it still feels like a dream and came as a shock to her...
"You're all clear, through your urine test we ran a pregnancy test and it confirmed positive. The baby is super healthy and so are you, we could do a scan now if you want"The lady says as she walks around Blair to take a sit...
“Thank you,”She says as she finally found her voice. Thanks for not making the whole procedure awkward too"She puts in smiling, her stomach jittery.
The doctor just smiled like she knew what she meant, and she left.
The bodyguard was waiting outside the door, back straight and hands clasped together in front of her, staring straight ahead. She turned to her as she walked out of the office, and she felt awkward again, that she’d had to wait for me, even though she didn’t say anything.
Now that the test results showed positive she definitely had to tell Zeke. But will telling him change the form of their relationship, he wanted the baby, he had suggested it would be beneficial for them both to have a baby. So why the hell is she so scared to tell him about her discovery. Why couldn't she just walk up to him and tell him.
He deserved to know the truth, he was the father afterall. She couldn't put this off any longer. Soon she would start to show and he would definitely be the first two notice since they spend all their nights together naked. On the ride home Blair's thought were consumed with her worries and fears.
Immediately she arrived home she was feeling exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster the whole day had been. More time had passed than she had realized, and it was already evening by the time she walked into the house.
Zeke was nowhere to be seen. She wondered if he was waiting for her somewhere or keeping himself busy till she got home because he had called her when she was in the hospital and she had to lie that she had gone to see a friend. Either way, she felt too tired to go off and look for him. She'd eaten once for the day, and I felt like that was more than enough for her because she felt so full and couldn't even swallow anything or else she might throw up.
She went up to her room to sleep, blacking out as soon as her head hit the pillow.
