Blair Monore
You must be Blair. It’s so lovely to see you in person. By the way you look way more lovelier in real life than in those pictures on magazines.
Blair stood at the door and suddenly wished very much that she didn’t have to do this. But, she didn’t really have much of a choice. This had to happen. She promised him a wedding and a wedding he shall have.
“Yes, I’m Blair,” she said, forcing herself to smile as she opened the door a little wider. “Please come in. You're Addison right?” The wedding planner
“That’s me"the woman chirped with an excited look on her face.
She wore a smart body suit. Her makeup was perfect. Her hair was perfect. Unlike her who wasn't. Was she expected to be prim and perfect all the time?
"Am here to help you get the perfect scenario for your wedding and congratulations once again Ma'am"Addison says smiling.
Blair mustered a thank you but was still feeling incredibly awkward, even since Zeke had placed the ring on her finger things had been slightly different with her. She didn't know what changed but she knew she had.
“Now, I have some samples of previous weddings that I handles, so that I can get your opinion on what you want exactly" Addison said, walking through the front door. She pulled a bag behind of her...
"What she wants"Blair thought zoning out once again. She wanted a not so fake wedding. She didn't want to plan her fake wedding!
“Um, well, Zeke and I were thinking something elegant. Lavish or over the top weddings scare me so I want something elegant not to embarrass Zeke's name because his name is a brand itself. So something simple but beautiful,” Blair told her.
"Here, we can sit at the table here. Would you like some coffee?”
“Oh no, thank you.” Addison shook her head. “And, if you want white teeth for the wedding, you shouldn’t have coffee either. Or tea. Stick with water. It’ll help your figure in your dress, too.”
“Oh.” Blair wasn’t sure what to say to that. She just motioned to the table.
Addison quickly set up shop. She had binders full of pictures and fabric that she laid out systematically on the table.
“You said elegant, correct?” Addison asked, pulling out a specific binder from her bag . “Take a look in here and tell me what you think.”
Blair took the big binder and carefully opened it, unsure of what was going to be inside.
“The first picture is the reception hall of another wedding I did in New York Boston last year,” Addison explained.
"The wedding was a BOHEMIAN themed wedding with Airy dresses, Flower crowns,Dream catchers,, Boho-chic vintage rugs, Cascading bouquet, Floral table runners. Table numbers made with driftwood too.
The picture was of a beautiful room decorated into something out of a movie. Giving a country side vibe but also elegantly decorated. She flipped the binder and sees yet another type of wedding theme but this one looking as glamorous especially with different diamonds that would probably cost a Fortune. Dollar signs were already going off in her head.
"Do you like it? That a fairytale wedding theme, most of our client mostly choose that. As you can see the FAIRYTALE WEDDING consists of a very very Cinderella glamorous bridal gown which is giving a sense of vintage style, the gown will definitely be studded with diamonds, Soft colour palette, Crystal Chandeliers, Red Roses or blue roses could work too depending on the color you end up choosing to decorate the wedding hall, Large floral arrangements, Ornate decor pieces, Whimsical wedding invitations…
“Wow. Where did you get all the sparkle?” Blair asked, turning to the next page. "And that necklace or should I say diamond on the brides neck, it's humongous"Blair says nearly choking on her own spit. Who knew people spends this loads of amount on wedding..
I guess that's why not everybody gets to be on the list, she had made her research of course before the wedding planners visit. Addison Rae the most sought after wedding planner in New York City, you need to wait a year or more to be on the list of her clientele. All the wedding she had ever planned had been the most successful and talk of the town of course Blair had made sure to check just how much she charged and it was a lot of money. Who knew to be a wedding planner was the way forward.
“You could use similar diamonds, that diamond necklace was from a brand in Austria or was it Hungary. I think what would suit you more is using the diamonds from your brand. Blaire, it's a way of marketing but also a romantic gesture. Your fiance named a billion dollar luxury jewelry brand after you so definitely from your earings to your necklace down to all your accessories it will all be coming from Blaire's jewelries.
Blair nodded definitely seeing the picture she was trying to paint..
"You're practically a celebrity now so anything you out on is always blogged about and immediately sold out is use the wedding as an opportunity."Addison says yet again.
“Okay. The Cinderella themed wedding seems fitting besides I was already named the coffee Cinderella but I want it more vintage and more Cinderella. A bit much for me?,” Blair asked setting the binder down. Even though she was marrying a billionaire, she couldn’t even still pick a wedding concept properly.
“Is anyone coming to help you with this?” Addison asked glancing at the door. “Usually there’s a mother or a mother in law.”
“My mother died a long time ago,” Blair replied, ignoring the ache in her chest. “So did Zeke’s.”
“I see. Is anyone going to help you with these decisions?” Addison asked.
“Not really. Except Zeke finds the type to pick what color of flowers will be in our wedding!"She says with an awkward laugh.
Addison looked her over for a moment and then took the binder away. “Let’s start from the beginning then. What is your perfect wedding?” "Your dream wedding?"She asks
“My dream wedding? I haven’t really thought about it.” Blair murmurs, two months ago she hadn't really thought about marriage. Her worries had been her loan repayment, debts, how to foot her day to day bills and how to pay rent. funny how life can take a turn especially when you make drastic moves, now she had millions close to billions in her off shore account in Switzerland with no idea on how to use or invest the large sum. For a girl who worried about how to pay rent she was definitely a star now.
"My dream wedding? Blair couldn't think of one, the only thing in her head is to make something elegant and grand in respect to Zeke's family name and of course the kind of publicity they were expecting from this fake wedding stunt of their was massive so of course it had to look real and what exactly does a billionaire wedding looks like..
Very grand and very glamorous which means very expensive. It needs to be super super extravagant so the press might even talk about how much her dress had cost!
Life of being a fake bride.!
“Every girl has thought of something,” Addison pressed. “Perhaps a castle? A princess like setting?”
Blair shrugged. “Sure. That’ll work.”
“Blair, I don’t want what will work. I want to know what you’re dreaming of,” Addison said, taking Blair’s hands in hers. “This is supposed to be your big day. It should be what you want it to be. Surely you thought of what you would look like walking down the aisle with your father in a beautiful dress?”
The image of her father’s face hit Blair like a slap. He wouldn’t walk her down the aisle. He wouldn’t give her away. Her mother wouldn’t dab at her eyes with a napkin.. They would never see Blair married. Even if it was just a sham marriage.
Tears slipped from her eyes at Addison words....
Blair sighed and wiped at her cheeks. She would never know what her parents would think of this. The best she could do was imagine they were happy because she was going to be happy. She took a deep breath saying.
“Sorry about that,” Blair said..
Addison shrugged. “It happens more than you might think,” she said kindly. “Weddings are stressful things. Emotions, family, obligations, and guests all make things difficult. That’s why I’m here. I’m here to help.”
“Okay.” Blair gave the other woman a weak smile. “I’m going to need a lot of help.”
“That’s why I’m the best. Let’s start simple. Big or small wedding?”
“Definitely big "Blair supplied.
“It’s what you want,” Addison told her. “You aren’t limited by funds, so you can have a big wedding.”
"How much profit did my husband's company pull from the investment in Shanghai. I know it was all over the news"Blair asks..
"80 billion dollars"Addison whispered not fazed by the amount she called or by Blair's abstruct question..
"Then you should know this is a bilionare's wedding, considering his net worth I think we could go really really big"She says switching from the crying new bride to rich heiress vibes.
Blair wished Zeke were here. She wasn’t sure what he wanted other than, “make it big and impressive. Whatever you want as long as we have the public’s attention for the day.” She was going to have him come to the next one of these meetings.
“How about time?” Addison asked, shifting away to a different approach. “You said as soon as possible. It’s summer now, so I would suggest, if you really want the very best, to wait and have a winter wedding. With your dark hair, it would be stunning.”
“A winter wedding?” Blair thought was a no. Her stomach would be big by then. Infact they need to have the wedding as soon as possible...
Suddenly the image in her head changed to her ridiculously pregnant as they kissed in the snow. She didn’t want that either.
“No, no winter wedding, I hate the cold" Blair quickly said. “I want a summer wedding. This summer.”
“This summer?” Addison’s eyes widened. She picked up one of the binders and flipped through it. “The best places are already booked...”
“This summer,” Blair repeated. “I want it as soon as possible. I don’t care what it costs.”
“Okay. It’s your wedding,” Addison replied. Blair could see the dollar signs going off in her head. “Like I said, I’m here to help. Anything you need.”
“You know what?” An idea came to Blair. “I want you to plan it all. Plan a wedding fit for a billionaire. Zeke has given you the budget. Make it work. If you need more funds to take care of more, let me know.”
The idea of Addison taking care of everything relieved a huge weight from Blair’s shoulders she didn’t realize she was carrying. She’d thought she was looking forward to planning the wedding, but now that Addison was here, it was the last thing in the world Blair wanted to worry about.
“Are you sure?” Addison looked surprised.
“Positive,” Blair assured her. “I just want to pick out my wedding dress. Everything else, is yours. The invitations, the decorations, the location. All of it. As long as it’s done quickly and it’s something that will look good in a magazine, I’m happy.”
“Well, this isn’t how I normally do things,” Addison said slowly, a smile filling her face. “But I can do it. Leave it all to me" Addison says...
“That sounds perfect,” Blair agreed.
