Chapter 31:
Victoria went back to her her office with a new bundle of work, plastering a big grin on her face.. She is happy with the fact that she did complete her task without any mistake..
This time also George explained her what she has to do and she understand it perfectly, as if she knows it from before!
Suddenly, realising something her smile vanished.. She knew about those things! Like those official works! She didn't feel like she is doing it for the first day! As if she has done it a lot before! Is that something related to her past!
She was so drowned in thinking that she jumped on her seat when her phone started ringing.. Her heartbeat was racing because of the sudden startlement..
Victoria looked over the phone, it was her husband and immediately fear take away the big grin again.. He is vedio calling her..
Smiling she picked it up "hello" She waved at him..
Alexander was in his study, working.. Seeing her bright and happy he felt warm inside his heart.. He too smiled gently.. "How are you?" He asked..
Victoria "....."
Isn't it only more than an hour that they have been separated!?
"Didn't we were together almost two hour ago?" Victoria asked..
"Yes we were.. It's been passed one hour forty-three minutes and fifty three seconds" Alexander replied, stretching each syllable, making her looking like an idiot!
"Oh my God! What was that!?" Victoria showed up her two thumbs as a sign of a like "you are amazing! husband.."
Alexander smiled at her childishness "You still didn't answer.." He reminded..
Victoria nodded "yes, I am fine thank you, how about you? How are you?" She also asked..
"I am not much well after leaving you" He replied, looking sad..
Victoria straightened on her seat with a frown "What's wrong? What happened? You not feeling well?" She was really tensed..
"No, nothing like that.. I am not good because I am missing my wife so much.." He replied with his gloomy face..
Victoria "....."
What on earth was that!? He just made her so tensed and she literally was thinking to leave for home!
"Wasn't that too cheesy, Mr. King?" She glared at him angrily..
Alexander as always find her cute and adorable with her angry look.. "It was? Oh it's only for you wifey.."
"Yeah, and it's not funny Xan! I was scared!" Victoria whined..
"I am sorry sweetheart but I am really missing you a lot.." Alexander replied..
Victoria felt ticklish inside her heart.. It's a good feeling.. "And the fact is, I am missing you too.." She replied and sent a flying kiss..
Alexander pretend to catch it and keep it inside his blazer pocket very carefully.. Victoria giggled with his action..
She wanted to tell about her little success today.. She spoke excitedly "do you know what happened Xan? Today, I....."
Hearing her Alexander smiled.. He is really happy for her.. But, her story wasn't new for him.. He already knows it but didn't want to destroy her excitement..
Basically, when he was about to call his wife, George called him that moment and reported to him about her good participation in work.. And then he called her..
Both husband and wife talk for few minutes and then both hang up and Victoria again concentrated on her work..
And like before, she completed it shortly, making George dumbfounded again! He finally has to admit that, Victoria has such a sharp and intelligent brain! Because, she did some work without his direction and it turned out absolutely perfect! George's point of view has started changing slowly..

At the lunch time, Victoria called at home only to find Edward, Alexander and Vincent have been seated for their lunch.. And they were about to call her to remind her to take her lunch which has been send at the office with Alexander's order..
And in between their talk, her lunch arrived through one cleaning stuff of the company.. She thanked him and take the lunch box and hung up to eat it..
All of a sudden, she thought about George.. He is a workaholic like Alexander. After all, Alexander himself trained him! She has enough for two people and with the thought she stood up with lunch box and went to his office room..
Victoria knocked on the door "Come in" Came his voice and for the third time he forgot that it could be Victoria..
Seeing her, he again stood up with a jump.. "My lady, Do you need anything? You can just call me through the intercom! Why taking pain?!"
Victoria sighed helplessly.. "Would you still behave like this if I am a normal woman and not Alexander King's wife?" She asked..
"I.." George lost his words.. Ofcourse he wouldn't! But he didn't know how to reply it..
Shaking her head Victoria walked to the opposite side of the desk and pushed the file towards him "I have done it, please check it.. But before that, do you have your lunch?" She asked..
George didn't expect this question.. He shook his head in confusion "no, still didn't.." He replied..
"That's perfect! Come with me!" With that she went towards the couch in his room, keeping the lunch box on the tea table, she looked at him "Come on, have lunch with me.. It has been send by Alexander.."
George "....."
Does she want to kill him by her husband!? What is she doing!?
Putting on a polite face he refused "no my lady, it's not appropriate at all.."
Victoria wasn't going to listen any no.. She has decided to be friendly with George and make him comfortable working with her..
She quickly walked beside him and almost dragged with her by holding his hand, taking him off guard "I am not going to take any no.. Have a seat and grab your lunch!" She made him seat down and she herself too sat, maintaining a polite distance..
"My lady, this is not app..." George tried to reason with her but stopped in the middle "look, I know what you are thinking.. But, can you just stop these formalities and think me of your family member! Because I do!"
"You all work for Alexander, is a family.. Though Alexander is cold but he always thinks you guys as his own family.. And it's not different for me too.. If you still thinking inappropriate then think me as your little sister, requesting you to have your lunch with her.. Won't you accept it as an elder brother?" She asked with expectations..
George felt his throat becoming heavy.. His sister is his weak point whom he lost few years ago.. She was his only family.. And to be Frank, she was like this, always took care of him..
He finally let it go, and respect for Victoria raised ten times more! Because, as an orphan no one gave him this respect and value.. Women want him but not genuinely.. But, she is giving him a family!
George nodded only and somehow maneged to reply "thank you.."
