Chapter 22 : Three Heads Are Better Than One

22: Three Heads Are Better Than One

"Sister, I'm back!" Bai Ya, returning from school, excitedly opened the door and called out to the empty room.

"Eh?" Where was Sister?

Puzzled, she changed into slippers and placed her backpack on a nearby chair. She had originally thought Sister would be watching TV in the living room, but it seemed she'd guessed wrong.

Sister's shoes were still neatly placed by the front door, so Sister hadn't gone out. Could she still be resting in her room?

Slowly walking to Sister's room door, Bai Ya heard Bai Ling's voice and another girl's voice.

That girl wasn't Sister Qianqian, but... um, Sister Qianqian's Guild Leader in the game?

"Could Sister Qianqian also be inside?" Bai Ya couldn't think of any other possibility.

The only connection between Sister and that big sister was Sister Qianqian. Only through Sister Qianqian would Sister and that Guild Leader know each other.

Carefully opening the room door, Bai Ya saw her sister sitting at the computer desk operating the computer, and the computer was actually running a game!

Oh my!

Sister could actually play computer games!

Was this really her sister?

"Little Ya?" Bai Ling heard the sound of Bai Ya opening the door. She turned back to look at Bai Ya. "Aren't you coming in?"

Discovered, Bai Ya walked into Sister's room with a red face. During the days when Bai Ling wasn't there, she had spent quite a bit of time in this room.

"Is Sister playing a game?" Bai Ya asked a rather obvious question.

"Mm." Bai Ling nodded.

"I think I heard Little Ya's voice. Are you Little Ya?" The Guild Leader's voice came from the speakers.

When Bai Ya had gone to play with Leticia before, she'd talked with the Guild Leader a few times, so the Guild Leader still recognized this little girl's voice.

"It's me, Sister Xia." Bai Ya replied.

The Guild Leader's surname was Xia, and her age was definitely quite a bit older than Bai Ya's, so calling her "sister" was well-deserved.

"So Little Ya and Little Bai are sisters. No wonder your voices are so similar." The Guild Leader laughed.

"My voice isn't as nice as Sister's." Bai Ya scratched her head. Her voice was very, very ordinary, completely incomparable to Sister's heavenly voice. "By the way, why is Sister playing games with Sister Xia?"

Faced with Bai Ya's question, Bai Ling said she was just bored.

"Killing time." She said flatly.

If it was to kill time, why play with Guild Leader Sister? There was a better choice, wasn't there?

Bai Ya's gaze inconspicuously glanced downward. Wasn't there a master downstairs who had an entangled relationship with Sister?

If Sister could play with Guild Leader Sister, that meant Sister must have been with Sister Qianqian before, but why didn't Sister play with Sister Qianqian?

The Guild Leader quickly answered Bai Ya's confusion. This girl who loved gossip said quietly: "Little Qian refused to guide Little Bai. I think she just can't swallow her pride, tsk tsk tsk."

Come to think of it, Sister Qianqian was a classic tsundere. She kept saying her relationship with Sister wasn't good, so she would definitely refuse Sister's request to play games together.

"Sister, is that how it was?"

"Mm." Bai Ling nodded. "She said I shouldn't be friends with her."

"Sister Qianqian is definitely just being stubborn." Bai Ya declared.

This opinion gained the Guild Leader's agreement: "Little Qian is just like that—can't swallow her pride. Getting her to admit her true feelings is harder than reaching heaven."

That guy was best at expressing her genuine emotions in roundabout ways, with more twists than a mountain road.

"Then Sister, you just came back by yourself?"

"She told me to get lost, so I came back." Bai Ling succinctly expressed Leticia's emotions toward her. "But I remembered Xia Xia's ID earlier, so now I'm playing with her."

"Ah this... Sister, remember one thing." Bai Ya placed her hands on Sister's shoulders. Through her years of observing tsundere characters in anime, she had figured out the characteristics of tsundere-type characters. "Don't listen to what she says—watch what she actually does."

"Little Qian is a classic case of saying one thing but meaning another." The Guild Leader added.

"Exactly. She tells you to get lost with her mouth, but in her heart she's dying for you to stay." Bai Ya continued fanning the flames. "Sister, you need to be stronger. Only then can you make Sister Qianqian speak her true feelings."

"Stronger?" Bai Ling felt what Bai Ya said had a small problem, but she couldn't say where the problem was.

It seemed... Leticia was indeed like that.

She kept saying with her mouth that they were irreconcilable enemies, but her actions were different.

For Bai Ling's small requests, Leticia would help with an impatient face, like with bathing and gaming.

This wasn't how enemies interacted, right?

"Oh right, if you could give her a condition she can't refuse, she might 'reluctantly' agree to your request." The Guild Leader offered another suggestion.

"Stronger... a condition she can't refuse..." Bai Ling began thinking.

"Perfect, I have a method right here." The Guild Leader indicated she was determined to play matchmaker. "Little Qian was just complaining a few days ago that her mobile game account got wrecked."
