Chapter 16

With anger burning inside Derick eyeballs, "you're fired, and I don't want to ever sent my eyes on you anymore. Now leave this company!"

"What! Come on, after what happened to our pack. You're just going to let her leave like that? If you will, then, I am sorry I can't." Mia wanted to attack me, but Derick stopped her. "Not here, Mia."

As I walked out of the company, I couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal. I had worked hard to get to where I was, and it was all taken away from me in an instant.

I knew that Mia had something to do with it, but I couldn't prove it. It felt like she had won, and I had lost everything.

As I walked down the street, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. I turned around, but no one was there. I shrugged it off and kept walking.

A few blocks later, I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around again, but still no one was there. I picked up my pace, feeling uneasy.

But the footsteps kept getting closer and closer. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my back, and everything went black.

When I woke up, I was lying in a dark room, tied up and blindfolded. I tried to move, but my hands and feet were bound tightly. I kept trying until I heard a base voice, "stop disturbing yourself, just join us!"

I felt a little wind pass through me, and my blindfold was removed. I saw few people, standing, putting on black garment but, they're all on masked. I could perceived that these people are werewolves.

I howl into the air, break my chain and ran out of the room. I noticed that nobody stopped me or chase after me.

As I ran through the empty streets of that vicinity, my mind was still reeling from what had just happened. Who were those masked werewolves, and why did they want me to join them?

But one thing was certain – I wasn't going to give in to their demands. I would rather die than join a group of masked strangers who kidnapped me and held me against my will.

With the look of things, especially the roses on the floor. I am sure they're black bird wolves.

As I ran, I could feel my body shifting and changing, my senses becoming heightened as I embraced my inner wolf. The wind rushed through my fur, and I could smell the familiar scents of the city.

But I knew I couldn't stay in human form for too long – I needed the speed and agility of my wolf form to outrun any potential danger.

So I let out a loud howl, signaling my transformation into a full-fledged wolf, and I ran faster than I ever had before.

For hours, I ran through the city streets, avoiding humans and other werewolves alike. I didn't know where I was going or what I was going to do next, but I knew one thing – I wasn't going to let anyone control me or tell me what to do.

Eventually, I found myself in a quiet park, surrounded by trees and the soft rustle of leaves. I lay down on the grass, my wolf form now transformed back into my human self, and I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.

Despite everything that had happened, I knew that I was strong enough to overcome any obstacle. I would find out the truth about what happened to me, and I would take control of my life once again.

With that thought in mind, I got up from the ground and began walking towards the horizon, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

As soon as I arrived home, I trudged into my room feeling exhausted. The day had been long and tiring, and all I wanted was to collapse into bed and drift off to sleep. However, just as I was about to doze off, I heard a knock on my door.

Without bothering to check who it was, I simply shouted, "Come in."

To my surprise, it was Leah, I felt sad because I don't know what that betrayer want. I glared at her, waiting for her to explain why she was here.

"What do you want, Leah?" I asked, my voice laced with irritation.

Leah hesitated for a moment before stepping further into my room. "I came to drop off a message from the Black Bird Wolves Pack," she said.

I raised an eyebrow at her. "Black Bird Wolves Pack? You're joking, right? So you're finally coming out from the shell, I knew it! You work for them." I couldn't believe Leah makes me look like a fool again.

Leah rolled her eyes. "You're saying nonsense," she retorted. "The Black Bird Wolves Pack is not real. I just want to tease you."

I scoff, "seriously? I don't remember we're that close for you to come into my room to tease me."

"Sophia, we're sisters and I won't do anything that will hurt you again. I know have wrong you before, but I can't work with any pack that will hurt you. Besides I do not believe that Black bird wolves pack are real."

I shook my head, not believing a word she was saying. "You're just making things up," I said, my voice cold.

Leah sighed, looking frustrated. "Fine," she said. "Believe what you want. But at least keep my secret safe. Don't tell Blake that I still can't turn into a wolf yet. Because have been sensing that you two are closed lately."

I glared at her, feeling angry. "You expect me to keep your secrets after what you did to me?" I asked, my voice rising. "You betrayed me, Leah. And now you want me to keep your secrets? You've got to be kidding me."

Leah looked taken aback, her eyes widening in surprise. "I...I didn't think it was that big of a deal, you should learn to move on Sophia," she stammered.

"Move on? You destroyed me Leah! Well, it fine," I said firmly. "And I won't be keeping your secrets any longer. Now get out of my room." I walked Leah to the door and locked it firmly behind her.

As I lay in bed that night, my mind was filled with thoughts of betrayal and deceit. I couldn't believe that Leah had the audacity to come to me, after everything she had done.
