Chapter 34

As I walked into the room where Mia was tied up, I saw her sleeping peacefully. I signaled to two of my followers to wake her up, and they poured water on her face. Mia woke up with a start, trying to figure out what was happening. "Hello, Mia," I said with a smirk. "What are you doing here?" she asked, surprised to see me. "You know what? Come and untie me," she added.

I laughed at her audacity and asked her if she had forgotten how she treated me in Mondragon's company. Mia brushed off my remark and asked why the Black Bird Wolves Pack had forced her to join their group, given that she wasn't a wolf. The smile on my face faded as I replied, "Because I am their Alpha."

Mia shook her head in disbelief. "No, it's not possible. I don't believe you," she said.

I signaled to my follower beside me, who moved closer to Mia and slapped her. I then asked her if she believed me now. Mia looked furious and accused me of being a traitor.

I laughed and reminded her that I had never promised not to betray her. "Did you think I never told my followers to capture you?" I asked her. "But they knew that capturing you would make me happy, and I'm sure you're enjoying the treatment they're giving you here because this is just the start!"

Mia's anger turned to fear as she heard my words. She begged me to let her go, but I just laughed and told her that I had something special planned for her.

"I will get you and make you pay for this!" Mia yelled at me.

I simply smiled and told her that she couldn't do anything to me. "Very soon, I will be able to turn into a wolf with your blood running through my veins," I said. Mia's eyes widened with fear as she asked me what I meant by that.

But I didn't answer her. Instead, I walked out of the room, leaving her screaming my name and begging me to come back.

As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Mia had treated me badly in the past, and now I had the upper hand. I had finally taken revenge on her, and it felt great.

Leah walked into the room where Mia was tied up and immediately noticed the restraints. "What's going on here?" she asked in confusion. Mia scoffed and replied, "You're asking? Can't you see that your pack is holding me hostage and tying me up here?"

Leah was taken aback by the accusation. "Definitely, you must have done something wrong," she said, trying to reason with Mia.

Mia rolled her eyes. "Stop acting as if you don't know that your pack, the Black Bird Wolves, doesn't need someone to wrong them before they attack," she retorted.

Leah's eyes widened in shock. "You must be mistaken," she said. "This is the Golden Fang Pack, not the Black Bird Wolves."

Mia laughed. "If you sent Leah here to make a fool of me, I'm not buying it. If you don't mind, you can unchain me now," she said, looking at Leah.

Just then, Amanda walked into the room and grabbed Leah's hand. "What are you doing here?" she asked.

Leah asked her mother why they tied Mia up and why she mentioned the Black Bird Wolves instead of the Golden Fang Pack. Mia chuckled and said, "Oops, seems like the mother has betrayed her daughter. But instead of arguing, why can't you both just unchain me?"

Amanda dragged Leah out of the room with anger and took her to the garden. Leah snatched her hand away and demanded to know what was going on.

Amanda tried to explain that this was, in fact, the Black Bird Wolves Pack, but Leah was in disbelief. She asked her mother why she would bring her to the pack that killed her father. Amanda pleaded with Leah to listen to her and promised to explain everything, but Leah refused to trust her mother again.

Leah stormed out of the mansion, trying to make sense of everything that had just happened. She couldn't believe that her mother had brought her to the pack that had killed her father. She felt betrayed, angry, and alone. As she walked through the garden, tears streamed down her face, and she knew that she could never forgive her mother for what she had done. she couldn't help but wonder what other secrets her mother had been keeping from her.

As I sat in the living room, I couldn't help but sniff my body and cringe at the awful smell. I hadn't taken a bath since we returned from the rescue mission, and I knew I needed to do something about it. Derick walked in, looking dashing and smelling good. He approached me, but I stopped him before he got too close. He asked me why, and I fake a smile and said it was nothing.

"Are you hungry?" he asked.

I shook my head. "No, I just want to go home and take a bath."

Derick chuckled when he caught me sniffing myself. "You should take a bath," he said. "You smell terrible."

I protested, saying I didn't smell that bad, but Derick wasn't having it. He insisted that I couldn't go back home yet because we didn't know what the black bird wolves pack might be planning next. He suggested that I use his bathroom upstairs since it was clean.

I nodded in agreement, feeling happy that I would finally be able to take a bath. I made my way up the stairs, eager to get rid of the unpleasant smell that had been following me around all day. As I reached the top of the stairs, I heard Lucas's voice coming from downstairs. He was asking Derick when I would be leaving.

Derick's reply surprised me. "Get used to her, Lucas. She might not be leaving anytime soon."

I entered the bathroom and turned on the shower, feeling the warm water wash over me. As I scrubbed my body clean, I couldn't help but think about how lucky I was to have Derick's help. He was always there for me, even when I didn't want to be around him. I felt grateful for his kindness and generosity.

After my shower, I stepped out of the bathroom, feeling refreshed and renewed. Derick was waiting for me outside, and I couldn't help but smile at him. He asked if I felt better, and I nodded, thanking him for his hospitality. He replied that it was his pleasure and that I was welcome to stay as long as I needed to.

I felt a sense of comfort and security knowing that I had Derick's support. I decided to stay a little longer and help him with whatever he needed. As we sat down to have dinner, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the new friendship that was blossoming between us.
