Chapter 42

~Miranda Pov~

I couldn't believe what had just happened. My pack, the black bird wolves, had been attacked by the Moon Chaser pack. We had been caught off guard, and we suffered heavy losses. As the Alpha, I couldn't let this slide. I needed to know why they had attacked us, and I needed to take revenge.

I called for a meeting with my most trusted members. We gathered in the pack's council room, and I could feel the anger and tension in the air. I took a deep breath and spoke. "We have been attacked by the Moon Chaser pack. They caught us off guard and took us by surprise. We have suffered heavy losses, and I want to know why they did this."

The room was silent for a few seconds, and then my Beta, Thomas, spoke up. "Maybe they have started seeing us as a threat to them," he said. "We have been growing in power, and they saw us as a threat to their dominance."

I nodded thoughtfully, considering his words. It was possible. But I wasn't convinced. "But we've not had any conflicts with them recently," I said. "Why would they attack us now! Are they not scared of us anymore?"

One of my warriors, Rachel, spoke up. "Maybe they were hired by someone," she said. "Maybe someone wants to take us down."

I frowned, considering that possibility. It was plausible. We had made a lot of enemies over the years, and it was possible that someone had finally decided to strike. But who could it be?

"I want you all to investigate," I said firmly. "I want to know who is behind this. I want to know why they attacked us. And I want revenge."

The room erupted in agreement, and I could feel the anger and determination in their voices. We were not going to let this slide. We were going to find out who was behind this, and we were going to make them pay.

The next day, we gathered intelligence and talked to our contacts. We found out that the Moon Chaser pack had been hired by Blake, which means he is back. I'm sure he came back for revenge! He had been trying to take revenge on us.

I was furious. Not only had we been attacked, but it had been done by a rogue who had no respect for the laws of our kind. I knew what I had to do. I had to find Blake and make him pay.

We gathered our forces and tracked down Blake to a warehouse on the outskirts of town. We discovered that, there was a fight in that warehouse, but we stormed the warehouse. And a fierce battle broke out. It was chaotic and bloody, but we fought with all our might. We had the element of surprise, and we used it to our advantage.

At the height of the battle, I came face to face with Blake. He was with a sneer on his face. "

"I knew it! Finally you've come out from your closet, so you're the Alpha of the black bird wolves," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "I've known it's you. You're the one who's been causing trouble for my pack."

I didn't waste any time. I lunged at him, and we began to fight. He was strong and skilled, but I was determined to win. We traded blows, and I could feel my anger boiling inside of me. This man had attacked my pack, and he was going to pay for it.

In the end, I emerged victorious. Blake lay at my feet, defeated and humiliated. I could see the fear in his eyes, and I knew that he would never cross us again.

We took Blake and his remaining followers into custody and locked them up in our deepest den. I didn't want them to exist anymore. They were a threat to my pack,

After few hours, I paced back and forth in the small room, waiting for Theresa to arrive. I couldn't believe that I was finally going to become a wolf, just like I always wanted. Theresa promised to help me, but at a cost. She said that I had to choose whose blood would flow in my veins - Mia's or Blake's.

As I waited, I couldn't help but think about how I would finally have the power and strength that I always wanted. Being a human had always felt so weak and vulnerable. I couldn't wait to feel the transformation and become something more.

Finally, Theresa arrived, carrying a small vial of each of their blood. She presented them to me and said, "You must choose wisely, Miranda. This is not a decision to be taken lightly."

I looked at the vials, trying to decide which one I wanted. Mia was a weak soul, but Blake was an Alpha. The thought of having his power and strength coursing through my veins was too tempting to resist.

"I choose Blake," I said, my voice filled with excitement.

Theresa smiled, "Very well then, my dear. Follow me."

She led me down a dark hallway and into a room where Mia and Blake were held captive. I felt a surge of excitement as I approached Blake's cage. He looked up at me with cold, steely eyes.

"What do you want?" he growled.

"I want your blood," I replied, grinning wickedly.

Blake looked at me with disgust, "You'll never be a true wolf, Miranda. You'll always be a pathetic forbidden human."

I felt a flash of anger at his words, but I knew that he was wrong. I would become a wolf, and I would be more powerful than he could ever imagine.

Theresa handed me a needle and vial, and I approached Blake's cage. As I drew his blood, I felt a surge of power run through my body. It was intoxicating.

As the transformation began, I felt a rush of energy coursing through my veins, and my senses heightened. The room became brighter, and I could hear the sounds of the forest outside. My muscles grew, and I felt myself getting stronger and more powerful with every passing moment.

When the transformation was complete, I looked down at my hands and saw that I had become what I had always dreamed of: a werewolf. My fur was black as the night, and my eyes glowed with an intense red hue.

I turned to Theresa, who was grinning at me, pleased with the result. "Thank you," I said. "This is everything I ever wanted."

As Theresa and I left the room, I could hear Blake growling in anger and frustration. I knew I had just made an enemy for life, but I didn't care. I was now a werewolf, and I felt invincible.

But as I walked down the hallway, I heard Theresa voice echoing behind me, "Be careful what you wish for, Miranda. Power always comes with a price."

As we arrived at the Mansion, I could feel Derick's concern. He kept asking me if I was alright and what Blake did to me. I told him that Blake had tied me up and said some annoying things to provoke me, but nothing more than that.

Lucas stood up with anger, "Can you stop getting kidnapped all the time? I'm tired of risking my life for her," he said, pointing towards me. "Especially fighting with the black bird wolves pack. And if she gets kidnapped again, I won't go to any fight to rescue her."

Derick's face turned red with anger, "What do you mean by that? Can't you see that she's a part of our pack? We can't just leave her to fend for herself."

Lucas replied, "Can't you see that she's nothing but a disaster to the pack? Every time she gets kidnapped, we have to risk our lives to save her. It's not fair to the rest of us."

Derick gave Lucas a stern warning, "The next time you speak to me like that in front of everyone, I'll banish you from the pack. Understood?"

Everyone was shocked by Derick's statement. Lucas was a valuable member of the pack, but Derick was right. We couldn't just abandon one of our own, no matter how much trouble the person brought upon us.

We sat in silence for a few minutes, contemplating our next move. I couldn't help but feel guilty for causing so much trouble for the pack. Maybe Lucas was right, maybe I was a disaster.

But Derick broke the silence, "Alright, enough bickering. We need to focus on our plan. Mia is still missing, and we need to get her back, before Blake does. Blake is our best lead right now. We need to figure out where he is and what he wants, that's is he is still alive because I know black bird wolves might not spare him."
