As soon as we arrived at the mansion, I could feel the tension in the air. Derick was furious that he didn't notice Mr. Isaac's true intentions, and he was even more upset that he had trusted him so blindly. I had suggested doing a background check on Mr. Isaac, but Derick had brushed off my concerns, thinking that he had nothing to hide. Now, we were all paying the price for his naivety.
I could see the anger in Derick's eyes as he spoke about buying back the 40% share without Blake knowing. I knew he was desperate to keep Blake out of the company, and I couldn't blame him. If Blake got his hands on the company, who knew what kind of damage he could do.
The next day, as we walked into the company, we were met with a surprising sight. The workers were all gathered around someone, cheering and clapping. As we got closer, we could see that it was Blake, giving a speech to the employees.
My heart sank as I watched Blake take control of the situation. He promised to increase their salaries and reduce their work hours, all while making himself out to be some kind of hero. But I knew better. Blake wasn't doing this out of the goodness of his heart. He was trying to win over the employees and get them on his side.
When Derick confronted Blake about his actions, things only got worse. Blake reminded Derick that he owned 40% of the company, and that gave him more power than Derick. I could see the anger in Derick's eyes, and I knew he was about to lose it.
But I urged him to stay calm. We needed to find a way to get Blake out of the company without causing any more damage. As Blake and Mia walked out, I followed them to Derick's office, where they started moving things around and claiming it as their own.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Was Blake really trying to push Derick out of his own office? I asked him, but he didn't deny it. Instead, he made it clear that he was trying to take control of the company, and there was nothing we could do to stop him.
Derick was seething with anger, and I could see his werewolf fangs starting to show. But I knew we had to stay calm and find a way to outsmart Blake. We couldn't let him destroy everything we had worked so hard to build.
I couldn't believe what was happening. Blake had completely taken over the company, and Derick was clearly not going to stand for it. As we watched Blake and Mia start moving furniture out of Derick's office, I saw Derick's eyes narrow with rage. His werewolf fangs were starting to protrude, and I knew things were about to get ugly.
"You can't just take over my office, Blake," Derick growled, stepping forward.
Blake smirked, crossing his arms over his chest. "Oh, but I can, Derick. I own 40% of this company, and that includes your office. So why don't you just pack up your things and move on out?"
"I'm not going anywhere," Derick said, his voice low and dangerous. "This is still my company, and you can't just waltz in here and start calling the shots."
Blake rolled his eyes. "Actually, I can. And I will. Starting now."
With that, he turned to the workers and started barking out orders, telling them to move this and that, to bring in new furniture and equipment. I could see the anger boiling inside Derick, and I knew it was only a matter of time before he snapped.
Suddenly, he lunged at Blake, his werewolf claws outstretched. But Blake was quick, dodging out of the way and delivering a sharp kick to Derick's side. Derick grunted in pain, but he didn't give up. He charged at Blake again, tackling him to the ground.
The two of them rolled around on the floor, punching and clawing at each other. Mia was standing back, watching with a smirk on her face, but I could see the fear in the workers' eyes. They didn't know what to do.
I stepped forward, trying to separate the two of them. "Guys, stop! This isn't going to solve anything!"
But they were too far gone. Derick had managed to pin Blake to the ground, but Blake was fighting back with everything he had. I knew that if I didn't do something soon, things were going to get out of hand.
So I screamed with all powers, using my voice to create a barrier between the two of them. It wasn't strong enough to hold them forever, but it was enough to give them a moment of pause.
"Stop it, both of you!" I yelled, my voice echoing through the room. "This isn't what we should be doing! We're better than this!"
For a moment, there was silence. Derick was breathing heavily, his eyes fixed on Blake. Blake was glaring up at him, his face red with anger. And then, slowly, they both started to stand up.
"You're right, Sophia," Derick said, wiping the blood from his nose. "This isn't the way to do things."
Blake snorted. "Speak for yourself, Derick. I'm perfectly fine with settling things with my fists."
I shook my head, feeling a wave of disappointment wash over me. "That's not the kind of leader this company needs, Blake. We need someone who can work with others, who can find common ground and compromise. Not someone who resorts to violence at the first sign of conflict."
Blake scowled, but I could see that my words had hit home. "Fine. But don't think I'm going to back down. I'm still going to get what I want, one way or another."
And with that, he stormed out of the room, Mia trailing behind him. Derick watched them go, his fists clenched, before turning to me with a sigh.
"You're right, Sophia. We can't keep fighting like this, but I will get my company back from Blake!"
