The next day, we arrived at the company with the rest of the board members to finalize the sale of the 40% share of Mondragon's company to Mr Isaac. However, the time that was given to him had already passed, and he still had not shown up. Everyone was confused and unsure of what to do next.
Mr Sylvester kept defending Mr Isaac, saying that he was a reputable businessman and that we should wait for him. I asked Mr Sylvester how he knew this, and he said that someone who wanted to buy such a large stake in a company must be serious.
Just as we were all about to give up hope, a man walked into the board meeting. He introduced himself as Isaac and apologized for being late. He signed the necessary documents, and the sale of the 40% share was completed.
As we were leaving the board room, we saw Blake and Mia walking into the company. Blake was wearing a black blazer suit, while Mia was wearing a stunning black gown. Derick and I were surprised to see them, and I immediately became suspicious of their intentions.
I approached Mia and warned her not to cause any trouble. However, she told me to calm down and wait. Derick, on the other hand, confronted Blake and demanded that he leave the company immediately.
Blake laughed and said that he was not here to claim Derick's head. He said that he had a matter to attend to and that if we had any issues with his ownership of the 40% share, there was nothing we could do about it.
I asked Blake what he meant, but he said that he could not tell me since I was "siding with the loser here." I was taken aback by his words, and so was Derick.
However, Mr Isaac smiled and walked up to Blake, handing him the signed documents. Derick and I were furious, and I couldn't help but feel that Mr Sylvester was in on this whole thing.
It was clear that Blake now owned a significant stake in the company, and there was nothing we could do about it. The situation had taken a turn for the worse, and I couldn't help but wonder what Blake had planned.
I took a step back as Blake, Mia, Derick, and Isaac begin to argue and shout at each other. My head was spinning, and I couldn't believe what was happening. How could things have gone so wrong?
As I looked around the room, I saw that everyone was tense and on edge. Mr. Sylvester was still standing off to the side, wearing a smug expression on his face. I couldn't help but wonder if he had something to do with all of this.
Suddenly, I lunged forward, grabbing at Blake's jacket. "You have no right to be here!" I screamed. "You're just trying to ruin everything for us!"
Blake pushed me away, his face contorted in anger. "I have every right to be here!" he shouted. "I own 40% of this company now!"
Derick stepped forward, his fists clenched. "You'll never take control of this company!" he growled. "Not while I'm still here!"
Isaac looked at them all with a neutral expression. "Gentlemen, please," he said calmly. "There's no need for violence. Let's try to handle this like adults."
But it was too late. Derick had already swung a punch at Blake, and soon they were both grappling with each other, throwing punches and shouting insults. Mia tried to intervene, but she was quickly shoved aside.
I watched in horror as the fight escalated. It was like a scene out of a movie, except this was real life, and there were real consequences.
I knew I had to do something. I took a deep breath and stepped forward again, putting myself between the two men. "Stop it!" I shouted. "This is insane! We are not supposed to be behaving like this, in front of other board members!"
For a moment, everything froze. The two men glared at each other, their chests heaving with exertion. Mia was standing off to the side, looking worried.
Then Blake suddenly lunged forward, shoving me out of the way. "Stay out of this, Sophia!" he spat. "This is none of your business!"
I stumbled backwards, feeling a surge of anger and fear. How dare he talk to me like that? How could he be so cruel with his word?
I looked at him, and then at Derick, and then at Isaac. They were all staring at me, waiting for me to make a move. It was like I was the one holding all the cards, the one with the power to decide what happened next.
But I didn't know what to do. All I knew was that I wanted this to be over, and I wanted Blake and Mia out of this company.
I stood there, frozen, Mr. Sylvester stepped forward. "If I may, gentlemen," he said smoothly. "I believe I have a solution to this problem."
Everyone turned to look at him. Even in the midst of all the chaos, his voice was like a balm, soothing and calm.
"What is it?" Isaac asked.
Mr. Sylvester smiled. "I propose that we hold a meeting, just the five of us. We'll sit down and talk through all of our concerns, and hopefully come to a resolution that works for everyone."
There was a moment of silence, and then Derick nodded. "That sounds like a good idea," he said.
Blake was still scowling, but he grudgingly agreed as well. "Fine," he muttered. "Let's just get this over with."
And so we all left the boardroom and headed to a conference room down the hall. As we sat down at the table, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. This wasn't over yet, I watched the scene unfold, my mind was racing with thoughts. How could Blake own 40% of the company? And why did Mr. Sylvester seem so pleased with the turn of events? My anger towards Blake and Mia was quickly replaced with confusion and fear.
Derick was seething with anger, demanding that the deal be cancelled and that Blake leave the company immediately. But Mr. Isaac explained that the deal had already been signed and was legally binding. Derick's face turned red with fury as he struggled to find a way out of this mess.
Blake simply shrugged his shoulders and told Mia to follow him out of the building. As they left, he made one last remark to Derick, telling him that he would be starting work with Mia tomorrow.
I felt a knot form in my stomach as I realized that this was just the beginning of a long and difficult journey. The fight for control of the company was far from over, and it seemed like Blake had just gained the upper hand.
Derick turned to me and said, "Sophia, we need to figure out our next move. We can't let Blake take over this company."
I nodded in agreement, my mind already working on a plan. I knew that we needed to act fast if we wanted to regain control of the company. But what could we do against someone as ruthless as Blake?
As we left the room, Mr. Sylvester approached us with a sly smile on his face. "Don't worry, Derick," he said. "I have a few ideas up my sleeve that might help us out of this mess."
I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as I listened to Mr. Sylvester's words. Something about his demeanor made me feel like he wasn't entirely trustworthy.
But for now, we had no choice but to trust him. We were in this fight together, whether we liked it or not.
