Chapter Good Intention

"Dad, you just use my motorcycle then."

Uti's words made her mother and father, who had been dizzy all day, immediately shift their focus to their eldest child. Especially Uti's father, who was genuinely surprised.

Uti nodded again to reassure her that she was fine at the moment. The girl then approached and positioned herself to sit next to a middle-aged man.

"Here are the keys." Uti handed the motorcycle key to her father. Gio himself certainly did not want to accept that, his head quickly shook firmly.

"I don't want it, I don't agree with your idea, Uti. No, I won't accept that." Gio flatly refused. Uti sighed softly.

"Yes Uti, Dad was right. How are you going to school if I take your motorcycle?" Susan asked, looking seriously at her daughter.

Uti smiled slightly as she waved her hand. "I can take public transportation, there are many. It's easy." Uti's gaze now turned back to her father. "Here, take it. It's not that hard for you, is it? You friend's house is also far away, so it's better if I just use my motorcycle."

"I don't want. You better go straight to school, it's already noon."

"There's still time. I can wait for the bus. You better follow my advice. I'm really fine." Uti was still trying to convince her father. "It's better than you being confused all this time, isn't it?"

Gio and Susan looked at each other, both needing answers and support from each other. Especially Gio who felt bad for his daughter who he loved so much.

"How is it?" asked Gio to his wife with a serious look, waiting for the answer that would come out of Susan's lips.

Susan let out a long sigh. She looked at Uti again. "You really don't mind?"

"Take it easy. It's okay with me."

"Okay." Susan nodded again. "Just take the key, she wants to help you."

"Yes, I don't want you to get confused by yourself. Just take this."

"But—"

Because there were so many protests, Uti pulled her father's hand and opened it wide, then placed the motorcycle key on Gio's palm.

"Alright, no need to feel bad, let alone protest too much. I just want to help."

Gio closed his eyes, his breath coming out of his nostrils and mouth simultaneously. Although reluctant, Gio finally accepted it. Uti was too pushy, and his daughter was also quite stubborn. Gio couldn't refuse.

"That's it, I'll accept you," Gio finally broke up, making Uti's smile instantly widen, Susan herself not to be outdone. She was happy too. Her lips also curled upwards.

Uti looked at Susan with a smile.

Gio patted Uti's shoulder lightly. "Then I'll take you to the bus stop, okay? Since it's quite far from home, you can't refuse this. You can't walk."

"I really wants to say that, after all, if I walk to the bus stop, I could be late for school. That's bad, I doesn't want to be punished. So, you have to take me to the bus stop."

"Yes, let's go now. It's getting late."

"You're leaving right away, right?"

"Yes." Susan answered Uti's question. "I'll get my bag and jacket first, for you, Dad." Susan scrambled to her feet and stomped out of the living room to her room.

Uti and Gio also stood up from their seats.

"I'll get the motorcycle out first."

"Okay, I wait outside."

"Hm."

Then, in a short time, Uti was dropped off by her father right in front of the bus stop. Uti smiled after shaking Gio's hand.

"Dad, be careful on the road, okay? You have to focus on driving, don't daydream about the motorcycle, and don't speed. Remember, your safety is most important."

Gio nodded slowly. "Take it easy, I can take care of myself, I know what I have to do, I'll just be careful, you calm down, okay?"

"Okay."

"Then I'll leave right away? You be careful too."

"Ready, bye!" Uti waved her hand lightly with a grin, which Gio returned with a similar gesture.

Afterward, her father walked away from Uti until she disappeared. At that moment, the public transportation had just stopped. Right on cue, Uti got inside and looked for a comfortable seat.

There were still twenty minutes before the bell rang when Uti's feet set foot on the school grounds. The girl started to walk into the courtyard, then through the corridor, until she reached her class.

Today was the day to collect the assignment from Mr. Hockey. As far as the eye could see, Uti saw many beautiful and unique handicrafts made by her classmates. Uti was amazed by the creativity of her friends. But Uti was also quite confident in her work with Novan. The results weren't too bad either.

Novan would carry the assignment. And wait a minute, where's that boy anyway?

Uti wandered around, trying to find the bridge of Novan's nose. But he wasn't in class, Uti hadn't seen him.

"Maybe he hasn't left yet," Uti muttered softly. "Or not leaving, huh?"

"Hey!" Weeby suddenly sat next to Uti with a smile.

Uti also spread her lips. "Hey, how's your assignment going? I want to see it."

"It's at the back, with Marcell."

"Oh, let it go. I'll see it too."

"Hm, where's yours?"

"It's with Novan. He'll bring it later, he's not in class. Haven't left yet?"

"Not sure, the bag isn't there either. It might show up soon," Weeby replied.

Coincidentally, coinciding with Weeby's words, Novan had just emerged from the classroom door carrying his handicraft that he made with Uti that time. Novan immediately looked at Uti while grinning. Immediately, he placed the house made of ice cream sticks on Uti's desk.

"Here, just put it here, okay? It's okay, right? If you stay behind with me, I'm afraid Marcell and Erza will have a riot."

"Yes, it's okay."

"I'll go to the back first, okay?"

Weeby was amazed to see what was currently in front of her. "Wow, it's really good. This can be sold anyway."

"But unfortunately I don't need money, I just need value," Uti replied jokingly, Weeby laughed a little at that.

"I also need value."

"That's it."

"Mm, I want to go back first. I have something to talk to Marcell about."

"Oh yeah, whatever you want."

Weeby smiled briefly at Uti before she left. Uti was now sitting alone in her seat. Uti glanced back slightly, looking at Novan, who, was chatting with Erza.

Looking at him, Uti was reminded of last night when she peeked at his social media account and accidentally pressed the love button.

Uti swallowed. "I hope Novan doesn't realize this."
