Chapter Use a different method

I drove into our parking lot and left the car immediately as I rushed into the house. “Ivana, Ivana!” I called out as I got to the living room, it was empty so I was about to go upstairs to go look for her when I heard some sound coming from the dining room, it sounded like someone was eating.

“Ivana_” I walked over quickly but stopped when I saw my mother who looked up at me.

“Robin, you are home, I thought you would be back late?” My mother blinked as she looked at my face then the smiles on her face disappeared. “Is something wrong?” She asked.

I glanced at the table, Ivana sat down there with her eyes on the meal she was shoving into her mouth, she glanced up at me.

“Hi, you are back.” She flashed a smile and I knew she was faking it, she was really good at it since it felt so real, but I knew better.

“Robin.” My mother called out my name since I haven’t answered her question and I flashed a smile at her, let’s pretend all we want since my mother was here.

“I am a fine mom,” I told her as I walked close while staring at Ivana from the corner of my eyes.

“Come and join us.” My mother told me, although I had eaten dinner with Ava, I still joined them since I wanted to look at Ivana. She looked so gloomy as she ate, but her face was filled with fake expressions.

I pushed the chair opposite Ivana and sat down so I could keep staring at her face while she ate. My mother got up from her chair. “I thought you won’t be coming home so I didn’t make your dinner, I will go fix a bowl of meal for you.”

"Okay." I nodded my head, at least my mother was going to the kitchen to make me dinner which will give me time to take to Ivana, I needed time to speak with her."

As my mother left I looked over at Ivana who still had her eyes on her meal. "Ivana," I called out and she put her spoon on the table, pushing her chair backwards she turned to leave and I knew she was not going to eat because of me.

I quickly held her hand and got to my feet. "Ivana, let me explain_"

"Don't cause a scene, Robin, your mother is at home and I don't want to hear anything from you!" She gashed at me trying to free her hand from mine but I gripped it firmly.

I glanced over at the kitchen where I can hear my mother turning the gas on and perhaps breaking some eggs.

I knew my mother suspected something about me and Ivana, I know she would be glad if we were dating but I don’t want her to find out what had happened.

"Let me go!" Ivana's voice was low, I sensed she didn't and my mother heard us. She had been good in acting now to avoid some questions and I am glad she did but not so happy.

"Mom!" I called out and Ivana looked at me with wide eyes, I was still holding her hand while calling out to my mother which was crazy.

"Robin, I will be out soon with your dinner, just hold on a bit!" My mother called back but that wasn't why I called her.

"I will eat later. Mom, I and Ivana have school matters to discuss so we will head up first!" I told her before turning my eyes to Ivana whose eyes were as wide as an orange.

Was she surprised that I lied to my mother about having school work just to talk to her, well she pretended to be alright just now so we were even?

I dragged Ivana with me without hearing back from my mother who would probably be taking off her gloves to come to see us, but I was sure that by the time she came to the dining room we would be upstairs.

"Let me go!" Ivana struggled to free herself but I was stronger than her so I pulled her with me, opening up my room door I dragged her in and locked it.

My room door was noisy so I was sure my mother wouldn't hear us.

I let go of Ivana's hand since I knew I must have hurt her from gripping her hand that way, but it wasn't my fault since she was struggling.

"Ivana, I have to explain_"

"I don't want to hear it!" She cut me off and that was when I noticed the hoarseness in her voice as she strolled over to the door but I pulled her to me.

"What you saw wasn't the truth!" I said out loud hoping she gets it. I want to clear this misunderstanding. I don't want Ivana to act this way knowing she was hurt, I don't want her to have the view that I betrayed her love.

"What wasn't the truth when I saw it all clearly?" She barked but I still held her. "Please let me go Robin_"

"I won't, not this time until you agree to let me explain!" I pressed her close to me pulling her into my arms in a hug but she fought back. "I have no feelings for that girl, she was the one who kissed me, not the other way round." I voiced out to explain.

I noticed Ivana stopped struggling and thought she was finally ready to hear me out so I started releasing her and she pushed me off her.

"She kissed you?" I saw a trace of tears in her eyes and my heart felt hurt. "Your lips banged together so why the fuck would you say she kissed you when you

didn't push her off but looked like you were enjoying it!" She pointed accusing fingers at me.

I ran my hand through my hair, this was not it. "Ivana, I came out of the restaurant and she came over, we were saying something, I was trying to tell her how much I love you, but she_"

"Lies!" Ivana barked at me, cutting me off and I looked at her angry face with droopy eyes.

"It's not a lie_"

"First you left me on the roadside after dragging me out from my bed," Ivana shouted, cutting me off again. "You let that girl hug you when you know I was right there," She hit me on my chest and I knew I deserved it. "It didn't stop there, you left with her without glancing at me like I don’t exist completely!"

Ivana tightened her jaw, her eyes squinted and I could see the furry in them. "You did not eat breakfast because you were out with her, you missed practice because of her and I was left to be humiliated!"

Hinn Carlos had said something like this earlier and I don't know what they were talking about, but I was sure whatever had happened in school was because of me and I would have comforted her better if I was with her.

"I don't know you were busy making out with her while I go through all that on my own!" She shouted.

"I was not making out with her, Ivana!" I tried to step closer but she stepped back.

"Stay away from me Robin, I have my dreams to focus on, not to make a fool out of myself." Her words were like a thorn piercing down my heart.

Ivana turned to leave and I knew if I let her walk past that door, it would be over between us because what she had in her eyes was pure determination to stay away from me at all costs.

I grabbed her hand and pinned her to the wall swiftly, not leaving a chance for her to escape.

"The person I love is you Ivana and if you won't listen to me then I would use a different method!"

"Let_"

I covered her lips with mine before she could breathe the words she had to say out, leaving her no room to protest.
