The moment I raised my eyes they dilated as the other person glared hard at me.
“Why is she here?” I and the other person both said at the same time.
"You two will have to practice together," Robin said softly and I blinked rapidly.
"No way, there is no way I would practice with this rejected candidate!" I held the space between my brows when she had said that.
"I told you that you were rejected, didn't I? That nickname suits you well." Ryan whispered close to my ears and I gritted my teeth at him as he raised his hand in surrender and leaned back.
I turned my eyes to Katherine who was still glaring at me. "I don't want to also practice with an egoist!" My lips twitched and Katherine turned to Hinn Carlos who stood beside her.
"Is this who you said we have been waiting for?" She raised her brows slightly and Hinn nodded in response while I wondered how they both got so close. The last time I saw them together it looked like Katherine hated him and wouldn’t want her around him.
"Yes, we are waiting for the three of them." Hinn Carlos said and Katherine's brows snapped together.
"By three, do you mean there is someone else apart from this rejected candidate and Robin?" She asked and I was confused since Ryan was standing next to me and there was no way she hadn't seen him so I looked over at Ryan who nodded at me.
"Yes, I am invisible to her." He smiled at me before I could say the word.
"At least most people don't bother considering you as their fans," I smirked and he gnashed his teeth at me but I turned to Robin.
"I can't practice with her," I said softly to Robin hoping he takes me away from her, I will just go wait for Kate and she would fill me in on the dance steps she has learnt today.
"You have no choice, Ivana, this is the only team I can find." Robin held my hands and squeezed it lightly, honestly, I will prefer a team that doesn't have the girl who thinks she is best in everything.
"I don't accept this, perhaps none of you is listening but this hall is for me and if that girl won't leave, I will have the right to tell you all to leave, since I am going to do this alone..."
"You are not an island Katherine, you should let others help you, I am here for you..."
Katherine touched her ear and turned to Hinn Carlos. "Did someone just talk?"
Ryan grunts beside me, clasping his hand on his face as he runs the other hand through his hair. It was really amusing to see him this way, since I can't annoy him it seems someone else can.
"Katherine, stop being an ass, you are also in no place to say no to this also, Ivana is not a rejected candidate, if she was then what shall we call someone who is not only hated by all of them but also seems like a doll," Robin said this word and Katherine glared at him while I admired Robin, he was taking my side and that was awesome, I should kiss him but not when everyone was watching.
"Robin, that wasn't a nice word to say." Hinn Carlos frowned at him, I wonder how guys could make up so easily while we girls take ages to forgive.
I had thought Hinn Carlos and Robin were now enemies since they argued recently, but how they got together to plan and agree on this was what baffles me. They were both selfless and knew when to drop their anger, unlike us, I don't think I will ever be able to put up with Katherine's attitude.
"Can we all stop this argument and just do some dancing and practice, we have only three days and you both suck at the dance," Ryan said to our hearing standing between us.
"I can do it better..." Katherine wanted to say something but he lifted his band to stop her.
"I don't think you can beat me in a dance baby girl, I am so good at singing and dancing, to tell you, that is one of my many talents." He winked at Katherine and I rolled my eyes, also sure that everyone in the room rolled their eyes at his words.
He was such a booster.
"Let's just practice." Robin walked over to the music stand and turned to us. "Katherine and Ivana, I am sure the two of you don’t want to see each other, but I would advise you two to put that aside if you want to make it to the main show."
"I can make it up there without this crazy team up practice..."
"You are so overconfident and because of that you may lose in this if you don't put that pride away." I cut her off, from the corner of my eyes I could see Ryan giving me those nice-words look.
"Okay, show over, I will dance with Ivana while Hinn dances with Katherine since Act II and Act III needs partners." I blinked as I looked over at Robin who was still close to the music stand.
"I would dance with Robin," I told Ryan, he was too annoying for me to dance, also Robin is right there why would I dance with him.
"Robin could be good in everything else but not in dancing baby girl." Ryan glanced over at Robin and I traced his gaze and met Robin's gaze. "Robin, I thought you should have told her about that."
"Ryan is right, Ivana, so I will stick to tuning the music for you all." He pointed at the music box and I looked away from him, he should have told me.
Ryan looked me in the face. "You look disappointed." He whispered and I gritted my teeth at him. "Even if Robin can dance, I wouldn't have let you dance with his, you might get distracted just staring at him with love in your eyes."
Surely there was no end to his annoying nature. "Can we just start, whatever this is?" I walked over to where Katherine stood and her nose wrinkled in disgust as she looked at me with those nasty eyes of hers. "Hi." I lift my hand with a smile on my lips.
"HI, my butt." Katherine rolled her eyes at me. "Just don't stand in my way and we will be fine." She crossed her arms over her chest and turned her eyes to look at Ryan with a grumpy face. "When do you plan to start this fuck ho practising, and you better not brag about being a good dancer, don't even give one of those your silly speeches and let's just dance."
"You are relentless Katherine, just relax and feel the music." He winked at her and snapped his finger as Robin tuned the music. "Let's see you girls do the Act Ii." He said looking at me and Katherine.
Katherine walked over and started the dance, thanks to Chloe’s teaching I also joined her and didn't trip over my toes, soon Ryan and Robin joined us and Ryan lifted me but we both feel as he lifted me and we bumped into Katherine and Hinn Carlos who was doing the dance class to use and we all hit the ground.
"OUCH!" I cried out in pain and Robin rushed over to lift me while Katherine sat up shooting a glare at me.
"Are you okay?" Robin looked me over as he asked with a concerned expression all over his face.
"Yes, I think so," I turned to look at Ryan and Hinn Carlos who were also getting up while Robin helped me up
"What the heck do you both think you are doing?" Katherine shouted at us. "You called yourself the best dancer," She looked at Ryan. "But you are only causing a disaster in this practice," She turned to me.
"She weighs more than average, just what do you eat, Ivana!" Ryan looked at me and I clenched my teeth at him. I got angry at Robin when he had said that and now this boy was making fun of me too. How embarrassing. Although I was glad that I have nothing to do with these people and Robin loves me the way I am.
Katherine turned to look at me with a fierce look in her eyes. "You should just quit now, your dance move is below ten per cent and you will be a complete disaster to this show!” Katherine yelled at me. “I wonder why the director just picks anyone to do something serious with this.” She gave me a once-over.
“Katherine, don’t say that more than someone who lacks emotion, Ivana is good and can make it to the show,” Robin told her as he crossed his hand over my shoulder. “She is a girl of many talents.” Robin kissed my lips, I smiled and turned to Katherine who rolled her eyes.
“Of course, you both think this is a joke.” She groaned and turned to Hinn Carlos. “Why the fuck did you bring these annoying people here?”
I noticed Hinn Carlos, Robin and Ryan share a knowing look and I raised my brows curiously to hear what they wanted to say. “I shouldn’t be saying this…” Hinn Carlos pursed his lips.
“Saying what? Just spit the shit out!” Katherine snapped at him.
“Well, the director wanted this.”
“Talk what makes sense Hinn, I don’t understand what you mean.” Katherine gazed at him with furrowed brows while I purse my lips knowing whatever Hinn would say would stun me.
“The director has another plan for this show,” He looked at Katherine from me. “Not only would most people be eliminated from this show before the main one, but he will also have to choose the main female lead too.”
“I am the female lead already and what does that have to do with this girl,” Katherine pointed at me like she was weighing me, but she didn’t look at me either. “has to do with practising with me?” Katherine raised her voice,
I dislike her manner but I also want to know, I have heard a secret today, Ryan is not part of our show but just someone whose presence would motivate us, now this…
“Well, he did not disclose it to me, but I think he likes the two of you.” Robin walked close to his bag that was lying at the corner of the hall, he took out his bottle and drank some water before turning to us. “One way or another Katherine, I think he wants you to be a great help to Ivana who doesn’t know how to dance, he wants you to teach her how to, that’s what female leads should do, help others, not tell them to quit.”
“You are not fucking kidding me!” Katherine shouted and turned to me. “You know what? I don’t care what they are all ranting or what the director think of this show, if you fucking get in my way, I will have no other choice but to mess up your life because this show means a lot to me than anyone else!” She grinds her teeth and turns to Ryan. “What are you doing and not starting this fucking practice!”
“Gosh!” Ryan stepped back from Katherine. “She has a temper.” He shrugged before turning to Robin. “I guess I have to take your girlfriend now, we have the practice to do.” He stretched his hand to me with a smile.
“If you let her fall once more Ryan, I will break your bones,” Robin warned him and I smiled, from the corner of my eyes I saw Katherine mouth blah blah blah.
“I won’t.” He winked at Robin.
“Ryan, take the lead.” Hinn Carlos told him and Robin tuned the song as we practised, although I did horribly. Ryan, who was Mr Perfect dancer, had to steady me and make up for the missed steps. It was fun and I couldn’t wait to tell Kate about this.
OH SHIT! Kate must be waiting for me.
