Chapter The team

“This is funny.” I cracked up and he slightly raised his brows in curiosity and I kept chuckling out loud. I have been in the dark but now I know who my real competitors were.

“What is so funny?”

“Everything.” I grinned, turning to the door where the lady was dancing.

“Don’t be so happy Ivana, you will lose this show.” His words made my brows snap together as I turned to look at him. “Why are you glaring so hard at me?” He leans back, crossing his arms across his chest. “It’s obvious you can’t dance and now that banner is up, the director will do his pick after the sideshow, you are also rejected by all the practice teams, no one wants to help you out, just like everyone hate me, they hate you too, so we are in the same boat.” He widened his arms. “Alone!” He made a round O with his mouth.

I bite down my lips suppressing my anger. “You are so annoying!” I grit my teeth glaring hard at him while wishing my eyes would be a dagger and pierce through his soul.

Ryan scratched his hair with a smile plastered on his face. “My fans still love me.” He turned to the door and I could tell this boy could never get angry at anything, of course, I looked it up and he has lots of fans, it’s good to be popular most times.

“Fuck! She is doing it again.” Ryan said with clenched jaws and I turned to look at the lady doing the flip. “I told her countless times to stop doing that but she never listens.” He shook his head.

“I like it,” I admitted and he narrowed his eyes down to me.

“Do that and you will only be kicked out in a second.” He shrugged.

I rolled my eyes at him. What does he know? “Since you know her, why don’t you convince her to try getting into the ballet school again?” I raised my brows at him and he scratched the corner of his nose.

“She hates me.” He sighed and I scoffed. Was there no one in this school that didn't hate him? ``When I mean she hates me, I will say it’s more than the hatred Katherine has for me.” Ryan smiles while I’m left to ponder why he would be smiling when he says he is hated. “We are like two devils that don’t see eye to eye, plus, I can’t face her anger even if I face Katherine’s.”

Ryan took a deep breath and turned to go but halted. “Let’s go.” I blinked rapidly as I looked up at him.

“Go where?”

“Don’t tell me you want to continue standing here watching that shit she does and call dancing?” He pointed at the door.

“It’s no shit and I am going nowhere with you.” I glanced down at my wristwatch, Kate ought to be here by now, I wonder why she wasn’t.

“Since we are both loners…”

“I am not a loner.” I cut him off.

He rolled his eyes at me. “Whatever you say, come with me.” He stretched out his hand and I looked down at it, raising the corner of my lips. I slapped his hand off.

“Why do you think I will want to go with you?”

“That is because you have a better chance practising alongside me.” He pointed at himself while I tilted my head to my side to look at him.

“Why would I want to practice with you?” I averted my eyes from him. “They hate you already so me practising with you would make me get more hatred_”

“They already hate you, so don’t pin it down on me and let’s go…”

“Ryan, why are you bothering my girlfriend?” We both heard Robin’s voice and turned our head in the direction to see him staring at Ryan with folded brows.

Finally, my knight in shining armour is here.

“I am not bothering her,” Ryan said out loud. “See,” He pointed at the ground before us. “There is about a seven-step distance between us.”

I sighed at his words and turned to Robin. “Hi,” I have not seen him at school after leaving the house today, not that I looked for him, but looking at his face made me flush since I recalled last night when I was about to give my first time to him.

He walked close to me and wrapped his hand around my waist. “I searched everywhere for you, why is it hard to see you?” He looked down at my face with a huge grin.

That was because I have been wandering in this school searching for a practice team to join but was kicked out from all of them so I am here after five hours waiting for Kate to show up, but she isn’t here but this asshole at our right who came over to anger me and also give me some hint about my rival in this show.

I said all that in my head but grinned at Robin. “Now you found me.” He leaned in and kissed my lips as Ryan cleared his throat making us look at him.

“I am still here.” He told us and we rolled our eyes at him. “Well, Robin, glad you are here, take your girlfriend, let's go.” Ryan turned to leave and I turned to Robin in confusion.

“Go where?”

“I noticed the other teams don’t want to practice with you, so I found a team who will.” Robin winked at me and I blinked in confusion.

“By saying you found a team, do you mean Ryan?” I glanced over to the annoying Ryan who wiggled his eyebrows at me.

“There are more.” Robin held my hand. “Let’s go meet them.” He smiled at me and pulled me with him as we walked down the lobby while I followed them perplexed wondering who the others would be.

We got to a hallway and stopped, I turned my eyes to the door that was shut as Robin held the knob, I took a deep breath as my eyes flickered to Ryan’s face to see the anxiety in them, I turned my eyes back to the door.

What others would be in there? I exhaled sharply.

Robin turned to me. “Are you ready to meet them?” I nodded and he pushed the door open as we stepped in.

The moment I raised my eyes they dilated as the other person glared hard at me.

“Why is she here?” I and the other person both said at the same time.
