I was not so happy thinking about Ivana who might show up here wearing those miniskirts and shirts that reveal everything.
I played the guitar with Hinn Carlos but I didn't stop glancing around for any sight of Ivana.
Although I didn’t want to think of it, now I was worried, I shouldn’t have walked away like that, I should have still wait to drive her over here, the thoughts of her getting into a bus and having those boys stare at her in a flirtatious manner was now getting me worked up.
It was fun here, crowded with a lot of people who were not only here to listen to our music or watch the show but also to ogle at us, they were flashing me and Hinn Carlos smiles but I was only distracted scanning the place for Ivana.
After performing, I stepped out from the crowd. There were a lot of people here and it would be hard to find Ivana in the crowd. This was an outdoor show, it was different from the school show where I could spot her.
I glanced at the event list, after my performance with Hinn Carlos should be hers and Katherine, but I can see the director was calling for some other groups to entertain them.
I walked over to Katherine who I spotted next to our camp house and approached her.
"Robin, I was about to come to find you," Katherine spoke up before I could ask about Ivana. "Where is Ivana, I don't see her around, is she running late again or planning to fuck this up in her usual way?" There was a frown on her face and I can tell she was not happy.
If she hasn't seen Ivana, it only means she hasn't made it here yet.
Ivana had told me she was going to call her parents before heading out, she should be here before now.
I took out my phone, although I didn’t want to call her, right now I was worried, but before I dialled her number I saw an incoming call from her.
Without hesitation I answered, placing the phone to my ear and before I could say a word I heard her soft voice from the other side of the line.
"I am sorry Robin, I changed out from the outfit you asked me to," I was glad she knew she had to apologise since she has got to be made and I was also relieved that she was fine and not only that, she wasn't wearing those miniskirts.
"Also, I am wearing a dashing modest dress and I am looking more pretty, can you come to get me before someone steals me away?" She chuckled softly and I rolled my eyes, she was still saying shit.
"It's not time for jokes Ivana, they will be calling you and Katherine out soon so where are you?" I told her as I walked out over to the crowd to glance around for any sight of her, if she was here I would like to see her in this outfit she talks about.
"I am at the highway," I blinked rapidly wondering what she was doing there as she went on to explain. "The taxi I took broke down and I am stranded right here, come pick me up," She told me from the other side of the line.
I ran my hand through my hair, that's what happens when she doesn't listen to me, also this place was far from. school and there were lots of highways that still lead to this place.
"What is the address?" I asked as I made my way over to my car, I parked it across the outdoor performance and it was a distance away from here.
"Umm… hold on, I will cross over and say it, I see a sign." She told me, I made a light run over to my car.
I opened the door and stepped in, I should have told someone that I was going to get Ivana, but I felt we would be here soon before anyone would notice we weren't, if I see her I would have to smack her on her ass for making me get this worried after provoking me earlier but is shook my head, I might kiss her instead.
I was about to start the car engine when I heard the loud horn that came from the other side of the line.
"Ivana…" I called out as terror filled my eyes, she had told me she was crossing over to the other side of the road.
My hand trembled, it felt like a lightning bolt had just struck me.
"Ivana..." I call out softly, I could feel hot tears fill my eyes, I had heard a loud bump and can't hear a word from Ivana. "Ivana..."
I walked into the hospital in a daze, it felt like I was just carried by my feet as I walked in, I was called in and told that Ivana was in this hospital.
I tried to think positively, but I just couldn't, I took light steps over to the lobby of the OR room I had been directed to and right there my mother was pacing around.
She looked over at me but I was staring at the OR. I got a call from my mother and was told that Ivana was admitted here since I was out searching for her since I didn’t know the highways she was on.
"Robin..." My mother rushed over to me as she looked at my face.
"Where is Ivana?" I muttered the word as tears clustered in my eyes. "Where is Ivana?!" I felt a single tear roll on my cheek.
"She is undergoing surgery, Robin, she will be alright." My mother told me but I could still hear the horn from the vehicle I heard from the other side of the line.
My lips trembled and my mother pulled me into her embrace. It was my fault, I shouldn’t have gotten mad at her, I should have gone with her.
I heard footsteps running over and when I turned my eyes there was Kate and Robin, Ryan came with them and they understood our gaze.
Kate burst out crying while Ryan held her shoulder to console her.
I pressed my lips together to suppress my tears, I just stared at the operating room door with a faded heart.
She should be alright, please." I prayed for the first time in a long time.

I walked into Ivana’s room, she had been moved to this room after the surgery, as I walked closer, I looked at Ivana, she was lying there with her eyes closed.
My thoughts turned back to the doctor's words after the surgery.
"The surgery was a success, she will be in ICU for now since she is still unconscious but rest assured she will be awake soon."
"Doctor, she has a dance to perform in four days, will she be able to do it?"
"No, she has fractured bones and we can't tell when those will heal since there have been several injuries, it may take over a year to remodel new soft tissue cells and develop her full strength."
I looked down at Ivana as tears filled my eyes, I sat next to her bed and took her hand.
"We should tell her about it," I recalled Mrs Jane telling Ivana’s parents who had come over to the hospital after hearing the news.
"I don't think I can bring myself to tell her about it, this performance means a lot to Ivana." Ivana’s parents had disagreed.
I pressed down my lips to suppress my son, it has been two days and she was not yet awake.
The director had come over and also Kate and Katherine to see Ivana, the main show was in two days and thinking of Ivana's dream fading away,
I kept on blaming myself.
If only I had waited and taken her there, if only I had not gotten angry at her, this wouldn't have happened to her.
"I will tell her." I had stepped forward when I heard them talking about telling Ivana about her injury.
"Robin..."
"No matter what, she still has the right to know, she has to know she can't perform." I cut them off, that was only fair to her.
I lifted Ivana’s hand and kissed it softly as tears rolled down my cheek hitting her hand.
"I am so sorry Ivana," I mumbled the words out.
I was sobbing lightly when I felt her stir, opening my eyes, I looked up at her face just to see her flicker her eyes open.
"Ivana, are you coming to your senses now?" I asked her as she slowly turned to look at me. "Do you recognise me?" I needed to know if she knew who I was, the doctor had said she had a shock from the accident too.
Ivana didn't say a word and I was so worried right now as she was only staring at me. "I will go get the doctor." I got up to leave but she held my hand and I turned to look at her face.
"Robin," She called my name softly and I sat down next to her, staring into her eyes.
"Yes, yes Ivana." Relieve washed over me, she hadn't lost her senses and that was good.
Ivana’s eyes flickered down to her legs that were covered with the bedsheet and I traced her eyes to see where she was staring at and she looked up at me.
"The main show..." Her voice came out in a whisper and I could see the tears in her eyes. I shook my head. I don’t want her to think about that now but she went on. "I can do it right?" She searched my eyes and I pressed my lips together.
I want to tell her about it, but seeing her torn expression right now made my heart filled with thorns.
"Ivana..."
"No," The words came out hoarse as she shook her head softly. "No,"
"Ivana..."
"It means a lot to me," She looked into my eyes and I could see the pain in them. "Robin, I want to stand on stage..." Her lips quivered and all I could do was embrace her.
